best guitar playing i have heard in a long long time, they say nobody is better than the Original, well i beg to differ after hearing you play... Regards from Bonnie Scotland
@blackcabal You're right! The background is really too loud. But I'm still inexperienced... Recently started playing the guitar after forty years the break. Thank you very much for your very kind comment.
I wish all the best! Friendly greetings from Hungary,
@calcanadian Thank you very much for your kind comments on my Duane Eddy playing. I'm very happy that you like these. Really, these are superb and evergreen tunes from we youth, pleasure to play .
Thanks for posting this tune Eugene, what a great Duane jam! Your version is awesome too, no second to anybody's...absolutely great picking! Jeff & Ellen
I remember that I heard this tune for the first time. Long ago one of my friends who joined TFA too played it for us in his bedroom through an own build AMROH-amp.
You made a superb rendition with everything which reminds of Duane. Thank you.
Look for "Artifacts Of Twang" by Duane Eddy. Brian Setzer. Phil Everly and Griffen House have joined Duane Eddy on this CD of all new material. to be released soon.
With feeling, how you play this "Detour" and the just styl from a also good guitarist "Duane Eddy" i enjoy from your very well played version. (i can learn from this) 5*****

Fantastic to hear and see someone playing the great Duane Eddy's songs properly.
Sounds really good, well done and keep it up. I'm in my late sixties, but still love to play those fifties and sixties songs.
Where do you get those good backing tracks from Eugene? I'd like to have a practice at some Duane Eddy songs Myself.
