Adoption can be a beautiful and an amazing thing. Yet if you cannot know the childs history or meet with their family you will never and the child will never know who they really are. If thats the case then I too say end adoption. HOW could you sleep knowing that a parent may be crying?
i cant believe things like that happen here...in my own country!my home!it's so hard to beleve that i could have been given to another family and never met my real one!but who knows maybe that's what happened...i remember when i was little hearing about children being given to the "wrong" parents at hospitals but i couldnt understand how dreadful that really was.let's all do something before it's too late

This video is half great and half terrible. Yes illegal and corrupt adoptions should be stopped, but bringing in things that Tony Blair has said with regard to needing more adoptions is totally out of context. This was said in context of....there are millions of children in homes and foster care just waiting to be adopted and not enough parents wanting to adopt. As an adoptee myself I do not believe that all adoptions should be stopped, as I know where i'd be now if they had been.
The secret family courts destroy family's in the name of justice why have secrecy if it is justice, its all about money and stopping family's telling the truth.
Yes you are right. No justice in secrecy. Its a shame. It is Blair's sad legacy and it continues with Brown. They are so afraid that people will sue. The government does not have any guts or any morality left to do what is right. When governments do not right the wrongs done to citizens, they are bound to fail.

The Greek ones were done in the 50's & 60's.
The UK ones during the Tony Blair era and are still happening. The UK has had illegal adoptions in the 50's and 60's as well.

Tony Blair gave the councils cash incentives and the forced adoptions became out of control.
There are not millions of children in homes and foster care as you suggest.
Your statistics are wrong.
If you read the Times article you will understand what I am talking about.

I don't understand how the UK can allow "forced" adoptions to take place where a parent is fighting to retain their child.
If we can't break through the secrecy, then we have to vote out any government that supports selling children in this manner.
