  • how much will u charge if you tint a 4 door honda accord i want all windows tinted

  • @Chuckie831 4 door cars are 180 for all 4 doors and back window any shades.

  • i got one question the window tint you guys use HAS TO BE THICKER then the kind at the auto parts store bc if you handle it like yall do it kinks and gets creases in it i had gila i tend to ding it alot, i heard johnson use to be a good brand of window tint but i dont know most big companys dont sale window tint to the diy'rs i commend window tiners its a art thats for sure

  • hello we are selling a new fine line of window films, great quality films for more inforation please give us a call 909 596 5422, BLACKOUT HP WINDOW FILMS

  • yo art check that video i sent u up there it;s crazy lol

    peace out bra mytints

  • hey i live in lincoln and have a truck that i would like to have tinted, what would you charge for a back window and two full size back windows

  • Hi, i live in Vancouver BC Canada. Today i just got ticket for having the front tinted windows. That's actually my second ticket for having front tinted windows. So now i'm trying to get the tint off of my front windows. Hopefully this way is going to work for me too. ( what else i can use as steamer?)

  • Great video.. very well done. This best out there!!

  • nice video man

  • LOL, dry shrinking is faster. Why would u roll that tint on. I bet theres a couple of creases.

  • That steamer looks like the one at CenTexTint huh Brad lol. Streamers are awesome...

  • Those front windows are too dark for California. Local law enforcement might be lax or something, oh well.

  • what tpye of cooke cutter is that thk, and program great work

  • u ever tried dry srinking, it really works better?

  • would a steamer work for OLD tint on my 94 bmw?

just the rear window, already did the sides

  • You never know till you try but if the defroster does not work anymore you can just start with soapy water and a razor blade.

  • idk if it works, im gona try my steamer..

  • hey buddy one question where did u get the steamer from i just open my shop full time i apreciate that by the way nice work u do... angel from dalton, georgia

  • how much does it cost to take window tints off?

  • ~REMOVING TINT~ A back window starts at $50 and $30 for every hour after that (never now how long it will take) Doors are $10 for one. ~REMOVING TINT~

  • flip thee switch lol very very nice video. marley with the steamer cracked me up. and no worries about the length of the video more time to watch you work

  • great job on the video, 1yr up and people still comment on it. btw, in my experience the easiest tint to remove is 3m. the rep says its because of the adhesive, sticks more on the film than on the glass so no residue on the glass after removal. how long does it take you to remove film on an average car using the steamer?

  • I think 1 hour but it does matter how bad the tint is that need to get removed.

  • Thanks for this. Lots of great info.

  • Great. You are teaching, not just showing off. That's cool. What's this I see about "hang dry" for handling dot matrix patterns?

  • This video wasnt too long. I liked it, if your videos are like this one, keep em long. I like seeing all the information. The fast forwarding was great.

  • Nice....I gotta remove my 5% tints off my 300c tonight I got 12 tickets and don't wanna get a warrant

  • haha the part where marley looks like he's puffin is hilarious

  • Nice video...thank you .......:D

  • First of all, that video was excellent. What temperature is ideal for tint removal? It is now winter (anywhere from 10-50 degrees) in St. Louis and i was hoping to remove the tint. Would i be better off waiting till spring?

  • if you can use a steamer any weather is ok but if you dont have a steamer then you want a hot day and spray the window (inside) with soapy water and put a black plastic bag over the sprayed water and let it warm up the glue under the tint and then try to remove it. That may or may not work???? The other windows you can bull it off and use a razor blade (stanless steel) and scrape the glue off.

  • good Marley joke man

  • Good informative video, but try using Sun Tek Window Film on you installs.

  • i think llumar's better

suntek is a dye based tint while llumar is metallic reflective

  • That will depend upon which series you are referring to. SunTek Economy Films are dye based, while Professional Quality are Metallic.

  • cool install, good job!

  • man i removed some window tint yesterday from a 14 year old ford bronco what a job!the glue stuck to all the windows after i got the tint off with a steamer.what will remove the glue?the steamer wont remove the glue for some reason..anyone?

  • One way that I resort too is using the steel wool on a back window if there is a defroster, to keep from destroying the defroster (assuming it is still working) You will need to find the finest grain steel wool (#00000) it has like 4 or 5 zeros. If there is no defroster and the window is not too curved you can take a new stainless steal razorblade to the glass and scrape the glue away. If its curved try the steel wool or make smaller scrapes with the razor blade.

  • My dad was absolutely shocked..he was ready to scrape the whole car with a razor...haha...also saved my read window defrosters too which is good...I'm completely satisfied...also whoever tinted my car did an amazing job...even had it go about 1 inch under the stripping....I just shoved the steamer up against the window and it pulled right out...without you I'd still be stuck in my car 12 hours later...thanks!

  • So I got sick of waiting...it kept raining...so I said fuck it and did it in the pouring rain...ran an extension cord through my window...the steamer worked amazing...removed all my tint in about 2 hours...took kinda long because whoever tinted my car did the back window in sections...but the steamer was the smartest idea ever...even my dad was shocked...there was absolutely no glue left too...ran a razor over the windows and nothing scraped off...thanks for the great help!

  • Just bought a 30 dollar steamer at wal-mart today to remove the tint in the car I just bought...hope it works!

  • Let me know how it goes? Dont forget the steel wool to get the remaining glue.

  • Damnit I forgot about that haha...hope I get most of it.

  • not to bad do you just use llumar or formulaone also? do you know how to bottom load the doors or just top load

  • Good video. But was it legal for the front doors?

  • Your not allowed to tint the front doors in Cal. but everyone wants them.

  • thank you so much best vid on youtube ever

you are very funny and smart thanks for your instructions i learnt alot =)

  • Thanks for the post :)

  • nice video btw =D

  • i think i can do this now, have you ever double layered tint to save time? and is it a good idea i ordered some precuts i have 35% and ordered 50% well this make it darker, btw awesome video

  • You can double up tint but the 50% my not look much darker becuse its a very light tint.

  • what should i add then, im lost

  • if you already got some 35% tint maybe you can add another layer of 35% to it if you want it darker?

  • You rock man !!! This is the best instruction video I find in Youtube. I am from San Francisco, I have 2007 ML250 and tinted two front window right after I bought the car. I just got a fix-up ticket for that front window tinted. Cops told me to remove it and paid $10.00. The shop asked me to pay $100.00 to remove window tinted. Now I can do it myself. THANKS. I may see you in Yuba City to get tint again but not that dark of course.

  • Thanks for the comment..........!

  • Very good video man!!

  • I meant to say - do you always wear the latex gloves? and how does it help?

  • I wear the gloves because after a few minutes of working with the soap my hands fill weird to me. When I wear the gloves I don't have any problems. The next thing it helps with is know matter what I'm up against, dirt, bird shit, or anything I can clean without getting anything on my hands because I'm wearing gloves. Still most people think I'm crazy. I have to let customers know "I like wearing gloves and there is nothing to worry about with the solution I'm spraying all over your car." lol

  • Thanks for that.

What plotter do you use? The llumar supllied one with precision cut or another?

Are the plotter patterns OK for micro edging?

Will you be able to post a video of the doors in real time?

    Thanks again

  • I use the Graphtec FC7000. I got it through Llumar and I like it and hate not using it. I think I can make some betters patterns some of the time but always use it when I can.

I will try to make a video in real time of a door but I'm kinda busy and it may have to wait till it slows down.

  • Hi

I am a tinter (llumar dlr) from england. I really enjoyed this video.

I don't use the precision cut system - all hand cut.

I would like to see a slow version of you doing the doors. On this car I take out 1 screw and pull the rubber out - but you seemed to manage it with the door panels in place.

A quick one - do you often

    Thanks

  • I don't remove any panels from cars and use my white Gasket Pusher Stick to pull back the seal along the bottom to manage the film through and use a lint free fiber cloth to clean around the whole door before I apply the film.

  • im trying to figure out how I remove my old tint & by old i mean OLD it's a 1979 car..how do i go about removing the old tint because it doesnt come all come out in one piece

  • Well some tint is so old the fastest way to remove it is with a razor blade. It will damage the defroster so it will not work if it does today. You could even look into having the window replaced with ether 1 you find at a junkyard or an aftermarket 1 to keep the coast down. If you don't like any of thoughts ideas you can always use tweezers and a steamer inch by inch well as scrubbing it with steel wool#00000. My video "Window Tint Removal (Back Window)" Kind of shows what I mean....

  • its ok to be long it was a good watch! ive always wanted to know how this was done, nice video and sweet car.

  • Its much more fun to remove when the tint is purple and bubbled!

  • I currently have a crappy job on my windows and want to have them re-tinted, i have never taken them off myself, my only concern with having a shop take them off as well as put them back on is the fact that they might cut corners, would a tint shop not do a good job on removing the film and rist having the new tint come out like ass?

  • I think with any tint shop it should be ok to ask what kind of warranty does it have and after letting them look at your car with the old tint and ask what chance is there that you (the tint shop) could not get most if not all of the old tint off? I work for myself and can afford to keep it cheep but most shops charge like $100 just to take the old film off and then the cost of tinting it. It is a pain to take old tint off but it should be possible for someone that knows what there doing...
