  • Hello Hello Nice video... I've just started a website about incubators. (eggincubators.everydex.com) I should really like if you would add yours to the website. You just have to register, just a name and email to prevent spam, and answer some questions. It's also possible to embedd your youtube video, so more people can watch it! thanks in advance Pat eggincubators.everydex.com
  • Hello

  • why do you put the trermostat inside the incubator ?

  • @survivorapocalypse so it can tell what the temp is.

  • so i have a question with a water heater thermostat the temp relay varies on when it will turn off . i picked up a thermostat and set it to lowest temp 90degrees thermostats have a -+10 degree so if you set it at 90 it will go as low was 80 before the relay turns on heat source but it will let it go up 10 degrees before it turns off so if i were to set it up at 100degrees it could go as low as 90 but as high as 110 before it turns off. 110 is too high. how do did you get past this point?

  • Okay, I did it. I finally got over my fear of electrocution and made this in like five minutes. Thanks for the video! Chickens, quail and ducks, here we come!

  • what size watt light bulb are you using?

  • @sowynsaralee I used a 60 watt bulb on mine.....might be different on yours because of size and all the other

    varibles

  • Just finished mine..use a styro cooler I bought for 2.50 at the dollar store...Works like charm!..Thank you very much for sharing!

  • @X7thSonX goood job man hpoe you have plenty of chics. (chickens) lol.

  • @london1817 Actually its for my green-winged macaw eggs but thank you none the less

  • How much time i must have switch on the light to the temperature to be at 99F?What happens when i sleep?

  • For the plug does it matter if you have a plug that only has a two pin since you're not using one of the wire?

  • @muffinn28 You mean the ground...and it does not matter.

  • Looks easy enough Rick. Thanks.

  • @thegeneral343 It is easy! you can do it..you are welcome!

  • What's the brand name and model number of that thermostat?

  • cool

  • This is wiring 101.

    Therefore

Safety 101, the yellow thing he sets down at 2:41 is called a "marrette connector", that yellow one looks too big, try the smaller ones. These need to screw on every connection (obviously I hope)

All connections at this voltage also need to be done inside a secured metal box, just like the ones behind all the switches and power outlets in your house.

If you can't be bothered to do that, the very least you can do is tape them up good with some electrical tape after.

  • Thank you soooo much!
