  • @19stangkid86 ur better off with a 306 or something if u only have 3 grand to play with and a great piece of advice would be to build ur motor based on what ur heads peform like, so start off with a nice set off heads and go from there u wont regret it

  • Looks and sounds great! It looks like a tight squeeze for those wheels, any problem with rubbing? I just bought a 363 SHP Dart short block for my blown Cobra II . I hope to have it delivered and in by mid May.

  • @giddyupv8 i dont have a problem with mine and there the same size but u may have to roll the lip on the quarter and beat the wheel well in alittle if needed but i doubt u will have to do that

  • @19stangkid86 get a pre 78 302 block or a 68 289 HIPO block and build a 347 dont use a roller block the lifter vavleys split right in half but it just depends on ur budget

  • dude u need to build more engines its not even my car and i can tell you its eaither a thumper cam by comp or a lunati 608 and if its a ford racing cam at all its a x303 or a z303

  • i got a 680 lift in mine this past summer but the summer prior it had a 704 both by comp but i took the 704 out it was a 114 lobe seperation so that wasnt doing me much good, because i cant run that much nos threw a roller block lol i know i am getting an r block over this winter :)

  • will the life of the engine be cut short if i stroke my 302 to 347? b/c i want to do it to my daily driver and i dont want it to die sooner than it should.

  • 347 are great little engines, they had a bad rap for years because of the whole oil ring intercepting the piston pin, but most if not all piston companies have since fixed this problem, I really don't know why you would build a 347 engine for a daily driver but good luck with it, they are stout engines!

  • i did it for my f150 4x4, i needed the extra power, but didnt want to have to swap. and i LOVE it. it will burn 33s easily without the brake.

  • what kind of tires and wheels are on it? my dad has a mustang but its a 65 fastback with a 351 stroked out to a 438. itll run 6.531. 521 hp.

  • it means that this particular engine, the stroke of the piston is modified. Hence the name "stroker"

  • more paticularly it lengthens the amount the piston travels downwards

  • lighter the rotation the better throttle responce and also i revs down quicker but ur top half also has to accomidate it

  • To be honest i'm not sure what they are but I know the flowmaster drag mufflers sound really good

  • I know how much money you put into a car like that because I'm going through the process right now. Very nice and sounds fuck'n awsom. Love the flow masters thats my next move but maybe 2.5 inch. Complements to you Fords rock!

  • 15 inch rims...165r 15 in the front and 28x11.50 in the rear you will have to roll your wheel well lip in the rear to fit 11.50's

  • I had an sn95 with a blown 306...but the N/A 347 pushes way more power then the blown 306 and carb is ALOT easier to work on

  • but mine only has 408w, 10.5 to 1 compression, a huge comp roller cam, ported victor intake, holley 800 DP, aluminum heads, and a fully forged bottom end(H-beam rods, probe forged pistons, and forged crank). and the funny thing is that i just ordered a 250 hp cheater system for it, havent installed it yet. but dude, even on motor you car must run in the high 10's. cause mine did (10.96 @123) and i know that your car is lighter than mine and with more power

  • Thanks. I have not yet had it dyno'd. We just built the motor a few months ago so we are still working out the little things before it goes to the dyno. It should have an estimated 550-600 hp on motor and 700-750 or so on the juice. I will let you know when we get some numbers!

  • It's an SVO 4 bolt main block bored .40 over and stroked to a 347. It has SRP race pistons, 12.1 compression, all internals are forged, aluminum race heads (not sure of brand) worked to the max, Edelbrock Victor Jr Intake, Holley 750 carb, set up for a 200 shot of juice, huge custom ground cam (I forget the exact specs. The motor was built from the bare block by my brother and I.....
