  • Guy in blue = Josh Catterson, pupil at RBAI Belfast.

  • Fuckin Awesome!

  • It is thon...

  • all one has to do to stop that is move in too close while hes turning. Thats it, then he has no room to spin kick and is most likely going to fall on his face.

  • Chaa gaye mere dost pataka kick hai

  • 0:36 ''OH MY GAARRRRRRDDD!'' LOOOOOL

  • good shot!

  • Chuck Norris showed him the baby roundhouse kick

  • what happen with that guy ? (red)

  • @mjkingofking - he just graduated the school of hard knocks.

  • Hey I really think that tornado kick was easy to dodge, ht had like 3 second to dodge it. You can't win If you stay still. Atleast do a back kick.

  • @eg2410109 did u see the vid that kick was like a second and he was moving forward

  • That's why taekwondo sucks, because they keep their hands down like some motherfuckers....

  • Comment removed

  • @Vlad2TKD You don't want to block a kick like that with your hands or arms. It will break them... But sometimes it's feasible to interrupt the motion by closing the distance and grabbing them; or getting out of the way.

  • @FinalFan0 Man, watch K1 fights... They still block these strongass kicks which can really break their hands. It's better to break your hand than your head, right?

  • @Vlad2TKD Well I have seen them a double block with both arms in K-1 for the most part. But this kick in particular is very powerful and is likely not wise to single hand block it; although it could be single hand blocked if you used the energy of the kick to move yourself out of the way. I think this kick is easy to disrupt in kickboxing, that's why it's hardly ever done in K-1.

  • Omg, this could be avoided with something as simple as just not being retarded and keeping your hands up

  • TKO= technical Knock out?

  • @Mosjunky yeah

  • OO right in the nerves

  • ALWAYS KEEP UR HANDS UP!!!!!!!!!

  • win

  • @whymeproducz im not sure i know its not taekwondo though they might teach mma or some form off it and call it TKO.

  • trust me with these kicks a KO is still very possible regardless of hands up or not.

  • @ealvward Dude u seem to know much about taekwondo , just curios is Taekwondo also called TKO or is it something else? cuz the place i go to train jiujitsu also train TKO and i dont know what it is i thought its like karate or sumthing

  • we call that kick a "butterfly kick" where I take taekwondo --- and that dude saying "oh my gawd" at the end was waaay to dramatic haha 0:36

  • why do people who do tae kwon do keep thier hands down? any KO i have seen in TKD would not have been a KO if the hands had of been up in a guard position

  • served

  • that guys good:)

  • u jus got knocked out man

  • hes daysed out

  • so ucla was blue and stanford red? or other way around?

  • Being a professional Taekwondo fighter I'm surprised he landed it due to his technique and its called a "Spin Kick" :P

Tornado kick must be American :P

  • @petesy2301 i live in canada and we call that 360 bijigi

  • @petesy2301 actually it differs from different parts of Korea, I've trained in Iceland with trainers that taught it to me as Tornado kick and even gave the Korean words for it and then I went to a new trainer after moving and he taught it to me as a spin kick and gave other Korean words, both of them have 4th dan

  • @TheWebzu I trained in Seongnam with Pung Saeng high school the number one in Korea. They have never known it to be called Tornado Kick, WTF has it down as spin kick.

  • "tornado kick" ...funny.. funny ?

  • Christ, you just can't get away from these mma meatheads, can you? "I could uppercut a tank in half!"

  • If he hit him with his shin he would of been out cold

  • im done trying to reason with an idiot

  • correction MMA+TKD=Knock you out

  • and a martial artist isnt measured by his fighting ability its measured on his character and meritts and you dont deserve to call yourself one, youve proven to be a disgrace just like your idols the disgracies.

  • Nicely done, I'm surprised he could land it like that, seeing as how it's a huge kick.

  • YOU GOT KNOCKED BITCH !!!

  • ID LIEK SUM POUND CAKE!

  • at the end: "OHH MY GOOOOD" the best polite expression of "f***ing owned"

  • XD))

  • ugh iv'e tried doing that kick and i can't do it! hu hu ㅠ___ㅠ

  • @RanterJaeUK keep practicing

  • tornado kick FTW

  • perfect timing

  • that wasnt really LEGIT. The 360 was perfect however he shouldve seen him spin and quiclky react with a counter. Oh well, its not like im that great either. Nice video :)

  • wow that was awesome!!! I Love it...but that hurt a lot.... T^T Poor guy...

  • Its a jumping back spinning roundhouse

  • the red guy had it coming..if i where tobe fighting the same guy.. i would have done the same thing....

  • id like to see that picture

  • lol no cuz while ur guarding ur face ur body is vulnerable...So its much easier to guard ur body and dodge head shots.

    Sorry for poor english.

  • oh my god?

    Fixed

  • now i dont know much about this yet im just now gettin my yellow belt but that dude got messed up im just now perfecting my roundhouse

  • @ItalianPride97 i just got my yellow belt too lmao :)

  • Comment removed

  • @nelz999 We don't give a shit about your picture, i can do this kick and i'm didn't take any TKD lessons -_-

  • That was a really ugly tornado kick. -.-

  • Hahahaha SIt down Bitch

  • DAT TORNADO KICK! WOOH!

  • the reason the guys hands weren't up is that the fighters need their hands on positions to block body shots as well. there are no hand strikes to the head only the body. it takes longer to get your a foot to someone's head, so the fighter should be able block or avoid head shots. this example is a very quick tornado kick counter by one fighter and a slow reaction defensively by the other fighter TKD is a great style for any type of stand up, not just point fighting its all about how you use it

  • wtf is a tornado kick lol. and i disagree with flag runner, spin kicks not only scare people but they will catch them off guard, (i.e. this guy)

  • @steevorama a tornado kick is you gettin blasted in the face and spinning around cause you just got knocked the F*** out lmfao that guy didn't know what hit him lol

  • i can do that...when i'm fighting with people at school....muahahahaha...i'm asians...lol

  • I should also add that spinning kicks are usually used to scare someone. Make them think twice about closing (i.e. spin heel kick). This guy got lucky.

  • It's easy to say he could have dodged it by watching the video. Once you're in the ring it's not so simple. Plus, the guy that got hit was a little off-balance, and he's a pretty tall person. Makes it harder.

As for keeping your hands up: Most of the time you keep them down to A) stop more body kicks which account for 90% of points, B) keep your vision clear, and C) keep your body loose to easily pull off some of the "fancier" stuff.

  • arent you supposed to keep your hands up so something like that doesnt happen?

  • Great 360 kick knockout!! opponent shoud'nt have stood there though, he should have skipped to the side and counted.

  • blue telegraphed his kick by lifting his leg before starting the kick. (probably been doing this since he was a yellow belt, hard habbit to break) If red sees this, he throws a back kick right then and blue is on his backside. Also, red made the mistake of stepping backwards, and not towards his oppenent. Tough to teach yourself to move in, when someone is coming at you, but if you do, it takes away his power, and this kick never happens.

  • @Muskrat37 now tht u mention it i agree he was an idiot for steppin back

  • @Arc6789 Yeah - but it's hard to step into someone - natural tendency is to retreat - It was still a pretty well thrown kick though. :) cover punch or a back kick would have put Blue on his backside (not knocked out) but definately put down. Of course it's easy to decide what to do when you are sitting on the couch watching - when in the ring, those kicks look a lot faster. LOL :)

  • tae kwon do, no punching?? mma is the best.

  • There is punching allowed, but only to the body, which does absolutely nothing with all that padding. It is much more effective to kick somebody's face in. See above video! :-D

  • Hard for him to dodge with his pitiful feeler low kick. He committed to forward motion and couldn't retreat. What's with no hand's to guard the face? They're just uselessly at the sides! It makes no sense.

  • @thecamlayton it was more than likely World TKD Federation (which is what you see in the Olympics and is watered down in the sense it has no hand techniques and is based in point sparring) instead of ITF which is the original 'style' TKD

  • Oh. I don't know much about TKD. I might look into that. I hear bad things about TKD but I always think the most important things are the instructor, but even more so the student's own effort... style not so much. At any rate, this was a bit careless.

  • yeah, I get that alot...I used to do it and took more than my fair share of bitch talking from kickboxers and MT guys...TKD is generally twice as fast and uncommitted as a MT kick would be, and in that sense...it is incredibly brutal, providing you learn it right and such. Yes, agreed, the teacher makes all the difference

  • wtf taekwondo does have had techniques we just use them sometimes but u can punch it just has to be a really hard hit to get a point look it up and wtf taekwondo is still new ppl its only been a few years so keep up the good work and dont fight over stupid stuff like other styles can beat other styles its just stupid all martial arts are the same there all good

  • Comment removed

  • you look at the tae kwon do stance they never keep their arm up to block the face i guess it just the way it is

  • Comment removed

  • This is the worst Taekwondo I've ever seen! You hands should be up!! If your hands were near your face that could have been blocked easily.

  • true. but notice that there is always a good 4ft between the two fighters, meaning that they're attacks are almost always out of range and the defender has time to react, therefore there is no immediate threat and no need for keeping your hands up.

  • to bad defence look at the arms

  • I love taekwondo it so fun

  • lol Nice K.O, but a bit slow tough

  • yea he shoulda been able to dodge it

  • he knock because his guard down

    - - TKD is very fast kick but i think is

just sport is not really martial art

  • i hear a lot of that...and thats usually because WTF is more popular....check out ITF thats what they use in the korean military...WTF came about as a governing body for sport taekwondo...it still has uses in real life and it is still a martial art though

  • wtf u talkin about man

  • Agree, more of a sport tbh. A great starting point for youngsters tho.

  • we call it helicopter kick

  • Red belt, foot position gave it away, his foot position is in defense stance, back thrust kick should be easy to execute. But when he lifted his leg halfway, Boom! counter hit. He should go all the way....Their kicks are too slow. Do squats x100 a day, jog few miles and spar on target with partner. Anyway, good fight.

  • That wouldn't build kick speed, it might build strength and endurance. Repeated kicks on a bag, flexibility and lots of plyometrics for the legs and core (medicine ball set-up tosses on incline, hang and powercleans, box jumps, single arm dumbell clean and jerk etc.) would build explosive speed.

  • yeah footwork was pretty bad, but i guess he hit the jackpot, all good =]

  • Comment removed

  • you dont keep your hands down when your sparring, the dude who got kicked is stupid because he didn't go for him when his hand was down. and it's called hurricane kick, not tornado kick

  • Different schools have different names for kicks.

  • the real name kick in taekwondo is bandero tchagui...

    Desculpe o Meu inglês.

    Sorry my english.

  • good thing he was wearing head gear.

  • fuck...

now am scare to go to train lol

  • i loved it 10/10

  • I'm impressed the guy in the red got up.

  • lol the footwork on the guy in the blue is garbage, watch the slow motion you see a bounce before teh kick

  • this is actually a tornado-ROUNDHOUSE kick. get it right.

  • Imagine if he didn't have protective gear. Yikes!!!! Also sorry for my grammar.

  • The name of this kick is

    PRICELESS

now im going to try to learn it

  • its a tornado smart one and its tae kwon do not take won do its hard to

    believe ur a red belt

  • well i can prove it umm..i will try asking my dad if he lets me use the cam.I will pm u when i upload the vid :P

  • I really don't understand why they didn't have their hands up.

  • it is butterfly kick.I play take won do and iam red belt now.

  • i wanna learn but i don't wanna compete, do you have to compete? whats it like?

  • i`ve begun boxing 3 weaks ago and when you feel comfortable you just want to compete and i dont think that you have to compete!!

  • cool i am yellow

  • its a tornado kick and you dont "play " a martial art

  • and thats not martial art thats take won do...so u dont play.

  • uhm taekwon do IS a martial art, and no i dont "play" taekwon do i TAKE taekwon do, or i DO, or i TRAIN in taekwon do

  • hola

  • Damn nice kick!

  • that guy isnt good, the tall goofy guy just sucks.

plus he a black and the guy that got knocked out is a red and cant even kick good

  • lol too slow both

  • if people keep their hands up then that wouldn't happen. then again this style is a sport. good kick though!

  • woww nice tornado kick!!!!!!!

  • hell kikck?

  • just think...he knocked him out with a helmet on, that's one badass kick

  • MEDIC!!!!!!

    hahahah

  • Ive seen people block this kick , they usually end up with one , if not two broken arms.

  • way to go nephew! i remember you knocked out all three guys when we went to go see you

  • lol keep your hands up n OWNED!

  • @KretinBassist Dumbass you dont block headkicks in tae kwon do. NEVER BLOCK THEM you move if you cant do that then you best go to crappy karate

  • @MrThatguy1312 - He blocked the kick - with his Face!!! :)

  • @MrThatguy1312 u know what as a karateka i repect the style of tae kwon do , so why in earth would you call karate crappy? theres no crappy martial art theres only crappy martial artist's and the way you presented yourself your not too far from it.

  • @FLCL4EVER1 Fight me and we'll see how much of a crappy martial artist i am

  • @MrThatguy1312 i wasnt questioning your fighting ability i was talking about how you conduct yourself as a martial artist, and again you prove to me your not a real martial artist, otherwise you wouldnt feel the need to prove youself by challenging me to a fight, you have alot to learn alright

  • @FLCL4EVER1 shut up and enjoy the dang video nigga

  • @FLCL4EVER1 Cuz you obviously cant fight. since you do karate that crappy ass martial art easy and pointless

  • @MrThatguy1312 maybe to you its easy because you took 2 classes and quit, ive been doing it for years on end and am skilled in the application, you however probably started taking mma and think your the ultimate fighter, its childish thinking to compare a fad to an art thats been proven in life or death situations both in ancient times and modern times

  • @FLCL4EVER1 MMA=TKD will knock you out :P i dare you to try

  • I usually call it the spinning round house kick

  • that was a pretty nasty kick

and like not even good nasty

like my grandma coulda dodged that

  • ur dum!

  • that kick is called twisingancha

  • really? how interesting.....

  • replay... spin* kicks and kab0000000000000000000000000000000000000000mmmmm

  • lol this guy wasnt that fast he shuda dodged it

  • he shouldve tried to block it, wouldve hurt the kicker pretty bad lol.

but dodging is easier said than done.

  • thats actually a 360 Roundhouse kick but... OWNT

  • and thats what happends if you keep your hands down

  • sweet kick

  • wow.. it was funny at school.. some guy did one of these kicks in a fight and missed sort of - he skimmed his head and still took himdown!

  • destroyed

  • ohaaaaaa miess digga

  • rofl PWNage!

  • HE GOT TORE DA FUCK UP

  • wow the red reacted pretty slow..

  • lol im a black belt its called naraban in English tornado kick

  • holy shit!!!!!! he almost fainted

  • like a baby giraff lol

  • lol o kra da um giro muito lento sem contra atake sem nada e ainda acerta

  • I agree, i go tae kwon do and i ve sparred alot of times, my guard is always up. My best mate who is my senior has one of the hardest kicks i ve been hit by, he has never knocked me out because my guard is up. The only time anybody should keep their guard down is when they are at a reasonable distance from their opponent

  • epic fail dude U ALWAYS keep ur gaurd up never let it down cuz the second u do POW holy crap wat hit me! i actually KNOCKD some out without even trying wich was funny>D any1 ever a see a green advance belt knock out a black 3rd dan? o.0
