I like about 7 songs on senor boombox better than anything I've heard by umph. Only seen 1 biscuits show but seen it sober and loved every second. I've seen umph a few times they are alot more metallic w/ there grooves I don't think you can compare them w/ the biscuits musically very different bands. I'll listen to umph when I want to hear some crazy guitar materpieces but the biscuits are the biscuits hate is lame sucka

I'm not a huge biscuits fan either, but i think that STS9/conspirator/hallucinogen in dub/pnuma trio/etc are better than umphrey's and moe because that is the sub-jam category that suits me. All of the bands above have said "talent"

the disco biscuits are a good band, but it is definitely a hit or miss show. The thing about the biscuits that you, as a jam band fan are missing, is that the jam scene is becoming incorporated with different types of music. It's not your standard instruments anymore, and the disco biscuits provide a good balance of instrumental jam and that electronic dance party atmosphere that some people really enjoy.
