  • Woops.. signed in as Animore.. :) Thanks all for watching.

  • I guess it isn't an emoticon, per say.. but then again neither is >(^,^)< which is a cat.. It was a silly thing, but fun to do, and we had fun doing it.. The funny thing is that I use it when referring to [v] because I do find it easier than to type 'email' or 'message to your inbox" (that one I used to use a lot). Especially in chat and in FB.. Within two short days.. more than 50 pieces of correspondence (hahah) have sealed the deal. I will use it. If the world doesn't take to it it's ok..

  • Cool design but I don't see a reason for it. The smiley face was created because there was no way to send images so people drew images with text. It's easier to type email than [v]. A lot of modern shorthand was created because the iPhone didn't exist so people were typing on crappy keyboards and wanted to type as little as possible. But, I'm glad to hear you are doing something fun and creative with your daughter.

  • Last I checked, email isn't an emotion, therefore, no need for an emoticon (note the same root word, "emote"). ;-)

It is, however, cool so I will use it just so I can mention "Anything Box" to people whenever they ask where I learned it. \o/

But I still think it's lame to call it an emoticon. You can call it a "L33T" character if you want, though. But an emoticon? No. >:[

[v] me if you have any questions about it.

  • Brilliant!
