@ElPolloLocoS13 I Train BJJ so i know pretty much every MMA submission there is and i can say that in WWE they dont use it propely. They dont do it for real. Compare a armbar in MMA with a armar in WWE and you will se that in MMA they will tap after 2 sec and in WWE they will tap after maybe 10-15 sec, is that a proof enough for you?

@sinancothebest it's about watching athletes put on an athletic performance. They can fuck up spots like a player can miss a catch. This clip is of a VERY good sell. It's believable pain. And you don't know who's gonna win, but you have a chosen side... a preference, if you will. You want your side to win, just like in any other sport. Or in a movie, you want Bruce Willis to slaughter the Germans, and of course it's scripted, but you still watch is every Christmas time.

ROH didn't start until 2002 and Christian wrestled in WWF in 1998 and the move was called the Impaler because Christian had a vampire gimmick at the time. Also, Christian wasn't but 6 years old in 1979 and Tommy Rogers, the inventor of the move did not debut until 1980.

@HipnosisV1SvR Actually, little known fact, he first did it in NWA honor in 1994, and the anouncer called it the impaler. And in 2002 the roster and managers of NWA Honor left the NWA. Thus, RIng of honor was born. So technically Christian first did it in ROH, but a very early ROH.
