At the end, he got to see maria again. *spoiler alert* I swear when I seen him die, I did shed tears. It was like loosing a real friend. And the song (gary jules-mad world... from the crazies) made it real emotional.

I think that Dom had to be the one to die. Of all the characters, Dom was really the only one who had no reason to continue. His character seemed to be looking for a way to die. His entire purpose was to find Maria, he did that, despite it not being what he wanted. After that, it was to keep going for Marcus. His scene served that purpose, he saw a way to save his friends and to help Marcus. All around, it was the right choice, whether we like it or not. :)

doesnt anyone else think carmine had no roll in the game? I mean, You see him in act one (and he isnt important at all) then you see him in a chopper for 3 seconds AT THE END, and he doesnt even die. I think they should have him stick around with you more even if he was unimportant then, he still would be actualy there. OR, atleast let him die at the end as you briefly got to see him.

@d1jal It was intentional that they played mad world, because that was the sound track to gears of war 1. Thus the track reminded players of all the shit that they'd been through with Dom. I personally think that if it was another track, it wouldn't have the same effect.

Big Suprise" in a very sarcastic tone. But with Dom dying, then it's more emotional because you've known him since Gears 1 and struggled along with him when he was searching for his wife in Gears 2.
