  • I've got song by song uploads on Renegade's466isback's channel.

  • The music @ 1:21 sounds really nice! :D

  • Alisia may very well have been one of the first video game babes, along with Samus Aran. Does anyone know for sure?

  • @SeeD1985 The Mega drive was actually praised way-back for having games featuring strong Female leads, as opposed to "Damsel's in distress"

For example, Alisia Dragoon and Blaze Fielding (SoR) are the first to spring to mind.

  • Alis Landale would like a word with you.

  • @FlameAdder : Phantasy Star, right? Hehe, I stand corrected. : )

  • @SeeD1985 Maybe. There haven been others like Shantae and the Alyssa/Miria from The Guardian Legend, and Annet from El Viento though. Which is great!

  • That baroque, harpsichord opening is in my top 5 favorite musical compositions OF ALL TIME. Such a shame it's only 45 seconds long.

  • this game may not be so famous as mario, but it has one of the best soundtracks of all time video gaming history

  • Even by today's standards... The music of this video game ROCKS !!!

And the game itself must rock too.

  • GREAT UPLOAD! Any chance you could uoload the whole track that was used for stage 1 PLEASE? it reminds me of my child hood and the summers spent playing the game!! that would be awesome!!!!! thank you x

  • I demand an HD remake on PSN/X-Box Live!

  • Oh man, I loved this game. I must have beaten it like, thirty times or more.

  • @mike... what happend? the rmx?

  • Didn't really care for this game, but the music is excellent.

  • always tried my damdest to keep the dragon alive the longest

  • you know that game had a special menu where you can select every song or sfx and play it.. i did a remix once upon a time, i will make a video with that music soon

  • Excellent. I've always waited for someone to do a remix of the music from this game, namely the first level.

  • @lorispalmieri1 did that ever happen?

  • one of the best games on the gen great muisc gameplay she deserves a remake or a sequel

  • twas a classic

  • FUCK YES NOSTALGIA

  • 1:20 you know what the name of this music?

  • ...Oh, my goodness. My childhood favorite, with all its music and all the memories...

Thank you for bringing this tribute to Youtube. :3 I'm glad to see it finally given at least some of the credit it deserves- truly a diamond in the rough that seemed to have been a sleeping classic throughout the Genesis era. <3

  • When I listen to medieval and baroque music nowadays, it always makes me remember about Alisia Dragoon. Nice game, enjoyable, impressible, beautiful and all, but WAY too difficult. I could never pass through stage 4.

  • Loved this game, played it very often :) Thanks

  • Sweet music thanks for the upload of this!

  • The music, the soundtrack, the rock hard levels and bosses, the sexy Alisia, the dragon pet designs... And arsenal of weapons in dragon form! How can u beat that? I loved thinking carefully about each situation and what dragon (dragoon?) suited best... This game enhanced my logical thinking as a kid, and blew my imagination!

  • Oh, not forgetting Alisia's own power, the lightning was total awesome, along with the power-ups - choosing which dragon to level up was always difficult... I could go on... but I won't.

  • This is my favorite game ever. I think that Nariko from Heavenly Sword looks like Alisia.

  • I had this game when it was first out, one of the better Mega Drive games no-one seems to have played. People missed out imo

  • Alisia Dragoon is truly a hidden gem. Not just because of the enjoyable game play, challenging stages but also because of the wonderful soundtrack. All of the compositions are amazing, especially Stage 4 and the End Credits.

If you find a second hand copy I would definitely recommend buying it.

  • @Truten27 Figures. Legendary anime company GAINAX worked on this game...

  • My favorite game of all time!! The music is so epic. Thanks for the upload!

  • Man, I loved this game. Wish Sega of America would have used the cover art for the MD version instead, but the Boris Vallejo art isn't bad.

  • The second track has a very Secret of Mana-esque sound to it.

  • Yeah, I hear it. I've never played this game myself, but I think the tunes that start at 1:20 and 5:16 are really good stuff.
