@SoCalPreppers i wish i could get a video of my schools server room the school it has everything screwed up the I.T. Guy is using a laptop for the domain controller it takes like 3 minutes just to get from the actual login screen to the desktop and the screen resolution takes like 5 minutes to change from 800x600 to 1280x1024 and there is 20 wireless routers through the school they are all on the same channel and the signals mix every 5 minutes and they auto restart now that is a fail network

@ViperTechnologies LOL sadly you arent the only guy I know in a school with this problem LOL.... man that sucks.... we only have about 250 users, but we are way over kill there... redundancy is an understatement... we have a really nice budget :-)

we should have a wire management team just do it for us... LOL

hey I'm a young computer enthusiast with lots of potential just kind of lost at what to do... I went to a career college for Computer programmer analyst 2 years ago but didn't finish. The only classes I liked were the cisco ones and I am studying for ccna and network + at the moment. Do you have any recommendations on what kind of certs I should be studying for and do you mind telling me the qualifications needed for a job like yours and a little more about the job. Thanks!

@AquAcid Its not so much about the certs its the experience that will get you the job. in the mean time I guess you should get some microsoft and cisco certs behind you, that will get you in the door at least. its up to you, where you want to go... DBA, Networking, Active directory... who knows... I have to know it all for my job, the company that we work for are cheap so we are expected to know everything about ebverything. LOL

@AquAcid Become an electrician - better money and it's licensed so the hacks are unable to do your work by law. IT is so flooded and the employers are looking for the people that work cheap not the experienced ones that want what they are worth.
