the thing about this song is the rhythm is funky so technically the beat is off tempo so just play it like a funk guitarist would, improvise!

Very little difference in tone apparently. Pick whatever you think looks cooler. John uses guitars that have both types of wood, but mainly rosewood.

i think maple looks more vintage, the older, the darker:)
