  • @neohks did u not see it was labeled (Feeding diamond doves)?

  • my sister has one named Mr. Feathers and love him to death

  • ive got 2 diamond doves too!

  • oh and I was planning on getting a dove after I've learned more about them twitter is my first bird and my mom has had a cockatoo for like nine years and other bird like budgies and cocktails........ so yes my mom is very experienced with birds and so is my dad he used 2 go in the shower with our cockatoo I never seen Chelsea cuz i wasn't born yet... but i've seen pics and heard about her.....

  • @DontKickmySocks I keep these diamond doves to breed, I don't keep them so that they can sit on my finger. I don't believe these birds will really do that. It'd be best if you kept diamond doves in an aviary like in this video, so that they can live their own lives.

Thats my opinion anyway, if you find someone that can tame them, by all means have a talk to them and see what they have to say.

  • I saw a diamond dove at petsmart yesterday when I was shopping for a toy for my mean budgie..... her name is twitter.... I don't really like her cuz she will bite the hell out of my mom she HATES my mom........ are diamond doves good pets? I'm sure that they're a lot better than budgies!

  • @DontKickmySocks wow me too... do u live in huntsville.... the petsmart on airport rd had a beautiful Diamond dove

  • aww i want a some diamond doves now.

  • love this thanks

  • i have a diamond dove when ever it walk on our hand it peck my play and jumps over ^^

  • how sweet! I have diamond doves too, I have a video of one sitting on top of the radio!

  • i bought a pair of diamonds at a bird show in dublin three years ago and they bred the next year for me 4 that year and 5 the next year the year after that the cock killed the hen??? afer that i paired the father up with his daughter and there first clutch gave me two pure white doves but they died soon after they left the nest!

  • Wouldn't you get stronger chicks if the parents weren't related? That might be your problem. As for the cock killing the hen... my birds have never done that, but i have had the male go aggressive towards the chicks when they were old enough to leave

  • @bradsey25 I have 3 pairs of diamonds. They first laid eggs in one nest. they gave like 5 eggs there. from that 2 babies came out. then they gave many eggs, many got bad, some had babies but they died when they were like one week old. total they have given 4 grown ups so far and one is about to get fully weaned and around 4-6 died at young age.(in 3 months) But the deaths were because they just started breeding for the first time with me. Before that they were too young.

  • Ringnecks are NOISY! VERY noisy! Diamond doves sound like cute little pennywhistles. I look forward to when I can get some diamond doves. :)

And this vid is cute as heck. :)

  • These guys are very small, allot smaller than the Ringneck Dove. The size of a House Sparrow. I live in Oregon, I went to Sacramento, CA, When I first saw some Diamond Doves I had to have some, so I bought 4. They didn't work out for me, They are to small in my opinion, I have pigeons, and am thinking about starting to keep Ringneck Doves.

  • don't keep a lot of ringnecks housed together though. The males get mean towards the others

  • Your right friend those ringneck males I found out can really get nasty.I have to brothers they where fine for a wile together. Now I had to put them in different cages to keep from fighting.

  • I had the father dove attack a baby until it was all bloodies up on the face. Not a pretty sight!
