My guess is that you have very little understanding of the Western ethical constructs that guide our moral understanding, and that your idea of morality is a bronze-age moral framework from an ancient book that you read to suit your own interest.
@MrSponge1985 I've heard the same from other gay men. I ran this by 6 gay (theater) friends of mine who loved it and contributed to it and have heard from many strangers who LOVED it and want me to adopt them. A typical gay man who doesn't live to sing show tunes might be bugged. Please know that I wrote it to say that if one of my sons were gay, I would CELEBRATE who he is and never just "accept" or "tolerate" him. But with my luck he wouldn't be the shopping type. I'd still adore him.
I love this, it's funny and sweet. She is saying, she's too old now to have more kids and wishes she had a daughter, but has sons. Even if her children were gay or even bi she would be happy with them all either way. :) I love this song.

I don't actually wish my sons to be anything but who they were born to be. I hope that answers your question. While I don't wish the hardships and prejudice that gay people experience on anyone, I also wouldn't wish a life of dishonesty or secrecy on my children, either.

On the other hand, the song is nothing but a parade of stereotypes that don't hold up real-life scrutiny and which perpetuate the idea that gay people act in a certain way or are easily identifiable. If I were gay jock who presented as traditionally masculine (and yes, I know many gay men like this), I would roll my eyes and say, "Again, I'm a freak."

I hope I made it clear that while I had some concern, I also thought the song was cool and represented an atmosphere more acceptance than anything else. Stereotyping is a funny thing: when it's done with respect for the subject, then it's gentle humour. When it seeks to demean, it's destructive. For instance, people can make jokes about their own ethnicities, because it is done from a place of love and understanding.

Other than the fact that I would love to be part of a world with a much wider range of personal expression for all, this lack of divergence is probably a sign of more accepting world.
