Actually, if Ott had not been repeatedly cross checking neidermyer, he never would have got the crap beaten out of him. he deserved it. You don't think the other team is going to sit back and let that punk, Ott, repeatedly cross check someone without paying the consequences? 3 crosschecks deserves 14 punches? i think moen deserved to be suspended there, not ott. i don't see an eye gouge and even moen backpedaled on his accusations.
ott only missed the 1 game BEFORE his hearing, which says to me that the NHL saw the mistake in suspending ott initially.

I'm glad you know that he tried not to fight because of his broken hand. He tried not to because it is an automatic one game suspension if you fight with tape or a cast like he had on his hand. He deserved the suspension, but there should have been a suspension on the ducks part.

i am a habs fan so i dont see to much of the west and this guy
but last game he ran our captain koivu, and when kostopoulos (who is much smaller then him wanted to fight) he backed out
so this 19 year old guy on our team leveled him with a check and grabbed him and beat the shit out of him. he totally turtled.

umm except he can't fight cuz he has a cast on one of his hands... it's illegal to fight with any foreign substance on your hands. i'm a habs fan first, stars fan 2nd, and ott is more than just a pest. heck he has 13 goals and 20 assists in 48 games to go long with his 108 PIM!

All the more reason for Ott not to continually crosscheck another player. If he is going to dish it out, he has to expect something in return and that was Giguere starting something and letting Moen finish it. That is called sticking up for your team mates... and rightfully so.
Yes, he did need to have his teeth knocked out. Don't use the guy's broken hand for an excuse. He chose to dish it out and the payback was Moen getting the best of that coward, Ott.
