  • rigth protestants in ireland still think there a 100% british its bull shit nj up the provos

  • brad with m16 he s goooooood

  • @daveybrown42 AK-47 actually

  • @slapshot37GNR Norinco Type 56-1, actually.

  • @SethMcFartlane Nope. Type 56-1 is a variant of the RPD 7.62mm light machine gun developed in the Soviet Union. The Provisional I.R.A received arms from America, Libya, and the KGB...not the Chinese. Sorry, man. I could be wrong, it could be an AK-74, but its fire rate doesn't make it sound like one.

  • @slapshot37GNR You are aware this is a movie and the P.I.R.A. didn't supply the props?

  • @SethMcFartlane Oh, sorry. I thought it was battle footage, and Brad Pitt wanted to fuck up some British wankers...my bad

  • People get over yourselfs!! times have changed, only a small stupit childish few want to create a problem!! Americian, english and others that want to give their outside looking in point of view can do so, but realise what you see and hear is only half the story!! dont try and get involved in something you dont understand!!! lived in south armagh"bandit country" all my 31yrs, and no and believe we can all live together!!

  • @stpepper82 yeah protestants and catholics can but tell the brits to fuck of

  • @ParamoreWorshipper. I think the Arab Spring that' s been happening in North Africa and the middle east is evidence enough that young Arabs in the main have no interest in political islam or sharia law. I went to school with Paletinian kids who saw their (non combattant) parents shot by Israeli soliers for the heinous crime of being Arab. Their is absolutely no justification for what Israel has done to those people no more than what the Brits have done in Ireland.

  • Im american but I whole hardheartedly believe Ireland should be independent. England holding what left of its petty empire is a blatant injustice that the whole world can see.

  • @censorshipshit You pathetic cretin!

  • @censorshipshit You need to go to school and learn about what propaganda means! You have bought into propaganda by Sinn Fein and the Republican movement! How the hell would you know anything if you are from America! The South of Ireland is an Independant country its a Republic (has its own Government/Army/Police/Navy/Airforce) only a 400 square mile area to the North of the whole island is Northern Ireland and that part is part of Great Britain!

  • The vast majority of the people of Northern Ireland wish to remain British thats why the army were there in the 60's, 70's and 80's and early part of the 2000 decade. Its Hollywood who glamourises this - I am part Northern Irish and wish to be British!! But Americans really need to get a life and don't buy into this fantasy land that Hollywood seems to live in! The Republic of Ireland (in the South) wants nothing to do with this violence and is very good friends with UK!

  • Britain in fact is bailing the Republic of Ireland out from their financial woes! There are thousands of both Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland people living and working in the UK. Maybe as an American you should come over to Britain and visit Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland and see for yourself that this conflict is no longer - or rather its one paramilitary unit fighting amongst themselves and others on the opposite political side! But they are totally illegal!

  • @MovieMad007

    1. The reason the Brits entered NI in the 1960s was to help the Catholic communities being burned out their homes by loyalist mobs. As usual, and seen as recently as Iraq, their remit soon turned from protector to aggressor to occupier.

    2. There is no "vast" majority of Unionists in NI. There's a small majority and that only exists because of decades of gerrymandering. Even loyalists know that due to higher birthrate Republicans will sooner or later outvote them.

  • UP THE RA FREE PALESTINE!

  • Why do those RA gunmen all look stoned?

  • God Bless Ireland. Peace, Brothers and sisters.

  • @vinnyhoags You stupid plastic nonce! Get a life and stop drooling over a land that is neither part of you nor it you. What a fantasist!

  • @MrMickroach PEACE TO YOU TOO, MCGRUMPY EITHER THAT OR FUCK OFF AND EXPIRE , AND STOP TAKING UP SPACE ON THE PLANET , AND BEING A TAX BURDEN ON THE IRRELEVANT uk. You lazy old bastard, get a job, , you layabout bore.

  • LOL

  • Tick tock,old man

  • @vinnyhoags Obviously JM Barrie fascinates you so much that, when devoid of rational argument, this is all you can do. Tell us, are you austistic?

  • @MaoSuratt911 "Have they got no fuckin' home of their own? So fuck their union jack! We want our country back. So go on home British soldiers go on home." Perfect song fo the British.

  • @slapshot37GNR dont you mean english army and its welsh and scots unionist lackeys....us welsh gonna be free...we are the old britons!

  • @3tangle3 I'm sure if the Prov. IRA were more successful in gaining the attention of England's scumbag leaders that they'd be on ferries to Wales w/ enough firepower to take out London. TAL my brother ;) I actually have an uncle from Wales, always wanted to go there

  • I was on the set of this film Fourteen years ago.It was shot on the Emmet Road,Inchicore,Dublin 8.

  • @1878keni is the street corner where the kids are playing soccer, the corner of Emmet and Spa?

  • so whats this movie called

  • the first ra freedom fighters were protestants that couldn't stand what the englis were doin, and these were rich men

  • listin for all youse who dont know im from northen ireland and if u try to join the Ira and ur a prod u might..... well come out of the recruitment room too good lol

  • Im part irish part english, but im quite fiercley patriotic when it comes to Britain. Although most of the lads say if they were born on the other side in the situation the IRA were in they would probably be on the other side, just where your born eh?

  • @jackass40mile, if I was born loyalist, I would hope that I could be a big enough man to do the right thing and turn

  • @ShankillRoadRIRA Dont understand mate. What do you mean?

  • @jackass40mile, your comment 1 week ago about peoples sides already chosen for them by the area theyre born in....

  • @ShankillRoadRIRA Oh right. Take it your beleifs are with the IRA then?

  • @jackass40mile, aye all of them, all my beliefing goes that way....... are you not a loyalist

  • @ShankillRoadRIRA Fair enough. I dont particularly have a side, I just supported the british troops who were doing a policing job.

  • @jackass40mile, everythings good, policing job was a myth more than half the time though, if you think , an army , doin a policing job..... youd imagine everyone would safe as houses there

  • i heard the I.R.A fight to keep ireland catholic and well irish is this true?

  • @deltaenforcer93, no the Provos actually began with a socialist agenda with their ultimate goal a 32 county socialist republic of ireland where church and state would be separate entities and all religions treated equally. However there's no doubt had the IRA achieved an outright victory that Catholics would have benefited most from that since Catholics were the ones most discriminated against in the North so had most to gain from an IRA victory.

  • @Bloodlustless oh ok, i was just wonder cuz isn't the majority of the I.R.A catholic?

  • @deltaenforcer93, yes the vast majority of IRA volunteers were Catholics although there was no requirement for them to be so.

  • @deltaenforcer93 Most of the Republican citizen are Catholic but protestants aren't barred from service just because you're protestant doesn't mean you don't support free-eire.

  • @MrGibert0 true but a good amount of them don't support free ireland!

  • @deltaenforcer93 some of the greates republicans were protestant

  • @podgewalsh4 My grand-da was protestant and he had a harder life than any Catholic! He was just protestant by religion like not by politics or anything.

  • @deltaenforcer93

The IRA don't try to keep Ireland Catholic. It's been proven that Catholics & Protestants can live together peacefully. So, it's not religion. The I.R.A continue to fight for Ireland to be one country. Not two and not to be part of Great Britain and England's greedy clutch.

  • @U2gal4life Well, in all honesty, since both Ireland and the UK BOTH gave up Sovereignty to the European Union, it's kind of a mute point now. No matter which country Northern Ireland is a part of, they are still governed by Luxemborg. I hope either country learns from America and the Soviet Union's mistakes and permits secession to be legal. Whoever secedes from the EU first is who I support Northern Ireland belonging to.

Many Northern Irish are happy to be part of the UK, for the record.

  • @falstoffe

Many Northern Irish people are happy to be part of the UK and be referred to as British, when it suits them. They are also very happy to be part of the Republic of Ireland and be referred to as Irish, when it suits them.

A friend of mine (who is from Belfast) admitted this to me. They play each side of the fence.

    Jus sayin' ... ;)

  • @falstoffe many Northern Irish people are happy to be part of the uk because there family was born in the uk and are protestant, so they are happy to be with another mainly protestant country, i know no Catholics who wan't to be part of the uk.

  • @JohnnyGonzalez007 What about the 45% of Catholics that live in N. Ireland? Do you think they are happy to live as part of the U.K. were they have been openly discriminated in everything from getting work, to getting harassed by police, or even historically having the U.D.A or other Protestant paramilitary groups come into Catholic streets and torturing and killing innocent people? The I.R.A. never did that. The Catholics have a lot of reasons to not want to be a part of the U.K.

  • @Flipper79able i know i am a catholic.

  • @JohnnyGonzalez007 Yes, I understand that Mr. Gonzalez but I grew up in N. Ireland and I'm guessing you didn't..... so try to have a little understanding about what you are speaking of.

  • @Flipper79able I was born in N.I and i still live here in Belfast, my dad is Brazilian, hence my surname

  • @JohnnyGonzalez007 Okay, than maybe I shouldn't have to explain these things. They should be aware to you. Cheers.

  • @Flipper79able

The British made it that way, so the Protestants and Catholics will remain separate so that they can still project their influence by claiming that their supporting the will of the majority, who are loyalists, and whenever groups like the UVF of UDA get out of control they can send in troops claiming that their humanitarians trying to stop an ethnic civil war. Can you believe the British government can be this sick!

  • @U2gal4life Yeah I mean it's no different thaten when we started The American Revolution in order to break free from the greedy clutches of Great Britain thus becoming The United States Of America. We wanted to have our own government and our own laws and be one country just like Ireland. We rejected the monarchy and aristocracy in favor of republicanism. One nation under god.

  • @hunhun23 Are you really able to breathe without assistance? I mean with the level of stupidity you are displaying, I would be surprised if you could. The Revolution was started by industrialuists who wanted to avoid taxes, that was greed, and that is what the USA is based on, self interest and greed. Funny how the US democracy is totally based on the Magna Carta. So you fuckwit, before commiting to writing in future, engage your cretinous brain!

  • @U2gal4life Your right the IRA dont fight for Ireland to be one religion but the dirty fucking HUNS wont let there be peace so if we are to have peace after we are united we must send the huns packing ,root them out like rats they are no better or cleaner then pigs or dogs anyway Ireland would be well better without them

  • @GoatSoup77

i see your point. But i wouldn't insult pigs or dogs... ;)

  • @U2gal4life all England has to do is pull out of Ireland to stop the killing.

  • @Kokoda144 You do realise that Southern Ireland wants nothing to do with this violence???? I'm a Brit and I can tell you straight up I have been to the Republic of Ireland (Northern Ireland is British and will remain so long as the majority want it to stay) as i was saying I have been to the Republic and I was warmly welcomed!!! They are lovely people and the craic and drink and party atmosphere in Dublin is loved by many many Brits I can tell you!!

  • @MovieMad007 its only the likes of some Americans (who think because they have some Irish ancestry) think they have some claim to kicking Britain out of Northern Ireland. Well this is a false notion. Americans have no idea about the geography of Northern and South ireland - god they can't even find their own way out of their own State - the majority of Americans don't even have a passport!! makes me laugh sometimes!

  • @MovieMad007 Mate am from Northern Ireland and I totally agree. Southern Irish people in general dont want anything to do with here. But all these idiots that watch bullshit like this beleive they do

  • @sammni thanks - i'm half-northern irish - was in Armagh 2 weeks back!

  • @MovieMad007 So if they have no problems with British Protestants why they will have problem with Irish Protestants so I think you better go from there and leave them alone . Nothern Ireland and Nothern Cyprus are occupied areas. Shame from Europe

  • @Civilsitis Britain has no problem with any religion you imbicil! Its only the minority of trouble makers in both the catholic and protestant parties. But they are not religious in any shape or form. Those who take up the gun/the knife or the bomb are just trying to inflict terror on their own general population. The British Army do not and never have taken any side!EVER! They are there to save the people from there own stupidity and ignorance!Look at Iraq - Shia fighting Sunni.....

  • The British Army are there to stop insurgencies (minority alleged fundamentalists...as in Northern Ireland). They are not religious although they say they are; all they want is power and influence! Thats all there is to it! Very simple! The terror cells and political wing such as Sinn Fein use clever marketing basically to "sell" the idea to the un-educated masses in ghetto council house areas like Shankhill and The Falls Road and whip up Anti British feeling.

  • if you look at Irish history you will see that the majority of the struggle originally was caused in the potato famine by rich Irish landlords - not much of it was British control at all! But this idea of Anti British sentiment has been very cleverly exploited unfortunately but it has caused untold loss of life!

  • @MovieMad007 and likewise with the Protestant camp - they are just as ruthless and nasty - that Johnny Adair - was a thug and the British Army wanted rid of him but then they saw an advantage to keeping him secure because they could use him as a chip to get into the organisation and try and disassemple these paramilitaries from the inside!

  • or at least thats the way i see it!! But I could be proven wrong!

  • @MovieMad007 British or no other country send army for goodness. History said 1690 British king won Irish king and order all Irish had Protestant for religion. I didnt say that British are religion people or not. I said that religion is the reason

  • @Civilsitis you are talking utter nonsense! You are not making any sense! That posting is total giberish! I rewrite it or don't bother posting! Honestly some people!

  • @Kokoda144 But they were to fcking selfish, so they had to send 1,049 young men to their deaths, & inspire hundreds of Loyalists to form paramilitaries to combat the P.IRA...which didn't work out to well for them. What a bunch of cunts. TAL ;)

  • @U2gal4life hmmm Northern Ireland is a fully democratic country, which means the people of Northern Ireland want to remain British. So the IRA cant get their way so they terrorize people into being Irish?

  • Comment removed

  • @sammni Well Northern Ireland is a Province which is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain

  • @U2gal4life if Britain is so bad then why did so many Irish fight for Great Britain during the first and second world wars? And if Britain is so bad why are so many Irish coming over here? Studying at BRITISH universities? Working in BRITISH companies? WHY are there so many IRISH travellers over here trying to set up ILLEGAL camps and stealing BRITISH energy from customers? And more to the point WHY THE HELL ARE WE BAILING YOU BUGGERS out if we are so bad?

  • @MovieMad007 Britain WAS that bad. I think you forget.. The British Empire pillaged invaded, raped, and enslaved so many countries: Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, , Canada, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guam, Guyana, IRELAND Jamaica, , New Zealand, , Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, the Turks and Caicos Islands..

And yet you give out when they follow you home....

  • @U2gal4life well if you want to go that far back why not blame Romans for invading Britain? Or the Vikings murdering Scottish people up in the Northern Highlands? Ermm....you missed some more above like the United States and some of East Africa, India, Middle East!!!!!! But anyway United States has invaded Vietnam, Afghanistan, Korea, Iraq, Palestine by Proxy (via the Israelis). The Dutch invaded South Africa before Britain, the French invaded Vietnam before Britain........

  • Australia has done too badly...........its now more successful than Britain - but if you want to talk about Australia (I have been there twice and loved it) I have cousins there and I have been invited out again by some Aussie surf friends so I don't think Australia has a problem with me as a Brit! to carry on from above ...Belgium invaded the Congo, Portugal Invaded some of South America, So did Spain! India threatened Pakistan, Iraq invaded Kuwait! Why Blame Britain the whole time?

  • sorry my mistake French invaded Vietnam before the USA........

  • @U2gal4life and more to the point most of these countries have not done too badly as a result of British Empire! Canada - is pretty successful - as is New Zealand ...Australia is a runaway success and is a fabulous country!!! Singapore is just fantastic I have been there and loved every single second of it!! Ferraris on every single street!! More Asians own super-cars there than any other! Its only when you go to Africa or West Indies you see the work ethic is not there!

  • my dad is brad pitt

  • they are deffending theire people and theire country

just like all other so called ""TERRORISTORGANIATION" everone who fight back is called a terrorist by england, only english people have the right to kill butcher and take foreign countrys only you english and jewish dogs have the right to take our Countrys !iam so sick and tired of your LIAR Media!

  • @zagi1able idk, the taliban in Pakistan blowing up world food organization employees and killing students at universities seems like terrorist characteristics to me. I agree wit the IRA's cause and their ultimate goal but i do not agree with their tactics ie: targeting innocent people

  • @spmcc86 aggreed, to a point. attacks like the one in this video are justifiable. But blowing up a train station filled with innocent civilians is not.

  • @spmcc86 you can't count LOYALIST civilians as innocent civilians to the IRA they are traitors and not innocent!

  • @deltaenforcer93 so is it always ok to kill the civilians of ur enemies??????

  • @spmcc86, according to your nation, yes it is!

  • @Bloodlustless LOL good one.

  • @Bloodlustless What u mean my NATION?????????? U mean LIBERIA??????? I am a citizen of Liberia. So why do u think that Liberia thinks its ok to kill civilians?????????????

  • @spmcc86, you list yourself as being from Kansas, USA and a part time soldier. If you fight for America that's enough for me to deem you American just as a Gurka who fights for Britain is still a Brit.

  • @Bloodlustless

    Ghurkas arent Brits.

  • @bobslay12, The Brigade of Gurkhas is the collective term for units of the current British Army that are composed of Nepalese soldiers. Four Gurkha regiments, the 2nd, 6th, 7th, and 10th Gurkha Rifles, joined the British Army on 1 January 1948. That makes them Brits.

Also the 340 Brits who've died in Afghanistan since 2001 includes the Ghurkas who've been slain there. They don't get listed separately. They fight as Brits and they die as Brits.

  • @Bloodlustless But technically i am not a citizen of the U.S. Technically i am a citizen of Liberia. And besides all i've seen in my 2 deployments is love for civilians. When the serbs set off a bomb in Kosovo killing and wouding over 300 innocent people, my units hospital took care of all of them. The U.S. army does not target civilians. If we kill civilians, we go to prison. U just like to make smart, exagerated remarks dn't u. U wanna see horrible war crimes, go to Africa.....

  • @spmcc86 i agree with bloodlustless, you wouldn't imagine what the british do to the republic irish civilians, killing irish for keeping their roots, and beliefs, (irish catholics got the worst of it)

  • @spmcc86 Yes!

  • @deltaenforcer93 soooo, U think that it is ok to kill innocent people. Thats horrible.....

  • One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Let those men whom you are talikng about burn in hell.

  • This is a bit OTT init. I was born in croatia and thats what the fighting there was like but with tanks and mortars.I thought that the IRA were more partisan.

  • Comment removed

  • I wanna see this movie so Fuckin bad but I can't find it anywhere on da internet. If anyone knows any good movie sites i could watch it on for free let me know. Thanks

  • @nywarlord87 Go buy it.. It deserves..

  • i wanna go to the store and buy it but its a hard movie to find in the stores.

  • @nywarlord87 Ok, than download U torrent and go to the link I'll send you :)

  • @nywarlord87 If you own netflix you can watch it instantly on their site, i just did.

  • May God be with Catholic Ireland. Portugal

  • Kablamo17's got a point. The Irish in America get their cultural patriotism from the movies and the March parades. Other than that, we're all becoming frakkin' legos. Too bad real life doesn't have such purrty music to die by ... guess that's why God invented the i-pod ... Whether 26 plus 6 equal anything is up for debate. and will be until somebody learns to spell revenge correctly. Up the Righteous.

  • @bleumangue thats because once you are born in America you automatically have a different mentality of how the world functions from AMERICAN point of view, you cant comprehend or understand certain things unless you experience them...

  • @makaveli84

Yeah It appears we prefer our catharsis and bloodlust cinematic here, for the most part. We've romanticized most of the American wars, especially the ones against the Nations. Up the Jicarilla! Most people here wouldn't know whether to shit or go blind when true tragedy strikes. Ergo: Hurricane Katrina, our tourist ghettoes, and utter dependency on professional services when personal tragedy strikes. Next Life, I'm pickin' another planet. (lol)

  • @bleumangue Any of you people actually been to N. Ireland, I am Welsh, was first in Belfast 1967, later in the 1970's both sides use religion to further violence and gangsterism. USA sees a glorified image of patriotism substitute Islam and Christianity, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE.

  • ireland 4 ever!

  • i lost my family by these invaders. ira forever.

  • @lippers77 Explain how please with you being from Holland how you lost your family by the hands of the british in Northern Ireland.

  • @spaceman1979 Born in Irish North, lost family, raised in Holland.

  • @SenseiDonGraham

Do you mean Northern Ireland or the north of Ireland? We don´t refer to any part of the country as Irish north.

  • @spaceman1979 Northern Ireland, you must be Republic because it's referred to as Irish North as well.

  • @SenseiDonGraham Bull shit it is. I spent there 3 years living in Belfast and not once did I hear it refered to as Irish North.

  • @spaceman1979 Your wrong.

  • was the IRA comissioned by the Republic to fight the loyalist and the British? or was it an organisation that stood on it's own?

  • No, the Provisional IRA were deemed a terrorist organization by the Govt in the Republic as well as in Britain.

  • @Bloodlustless So what did the P.IRA fight for? I've always known they were against the Brits, and I assume loyalists, but what did they want to accomplish?

  • In simple terms to unite Northern Ireland with the Republic of Ireland and to remove the British Army, police and all British Govt influence/interference from the country.

  • The Devils Own is a great movie.

And the IRA was justified in their killings and bombings no matter what any brit claims. You werent there, my father was. Occupation of a country by another is unacceptable if you have any sense of pride. Including what the U.S. is doing to the middle-east.

  • The road marking are wrong and the accents are a bit off as well.

  • wh gives a shit about the history anyway we're still as fucked up then as we are now if anything, we're conglomerating into weird American Irish internet retards..just a matter of time before you cant tell Ireland apart from America that true for the North as well.

  • Good movie

  • the ira were freedom not murderers they saw the british soldiers and the uda and red hand commando as a threat to the countery the felt was rightfully theres which it is england should leave plain and simple n the fight isn't over yet those stragglers are still very active n vigilant n i pray they do succeed erin go braugh

  • The fighting is over, has been for years.

Most of the terroist groups in Northern Ireland have given up their arms and turned to peace and democracy.

  • sorry i looked it up and i see that is it The Devil's Own sorry

  • another good IRA movie is the wind that shakes the barley. its a mirror of wats going on in d muslim world 2day Everytime we try 2 establish ourselves ourselves an even more corrupt regime is put in place by America. & they split us as a ppl, they try 2 divide ppl, by buying their souls, but those who have a s
