Great summary of Pete's career... only highlights of his victories at the 1997 Australian Open, the 1996 and 2002 U.S. Opens and the 1997 Wimbledon are missing...
does anyone know the name of the song? I know its by E.S Posthumus but I dont know the particular name of the song. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Great Video by the way.
Lol at the serve against rafter Wimbledon 00, Pete as a lefty would have been absolutley untouchable, he wouldnt have lost at wimbledon till he retired. Krajicek hated playing lefties his record is like 3-20 against them, and obviously everyone said Gorans serve was impossible cos of him being a lefty, petes woulda been twice as deadly as his because hs serve was better technically. He probably woulda won the french too! Such a beautiful Montage, I sortta wish pete were more appreciated. Oh well
You look at Sampras and you see a whole ear. You see a pioneer. But most of all you see a working-class legend. Working people would travel from all over the world to witness his greatness. He's a inspiration!
@DestroyerAlexandros I actually beleive that more people go to watch federer, its one of the things I hate, that pete was such an amazing player hard worker, humble honest straightforward human being so much talent, but He was, still is and probably never will be truely appreciated for his brilliance and his integrity. I reckon Rafa is like the new Pete in those respects
nadal leads the head to head by along mile and they even not the same age ....samoras never had bad 1 to1 recored against any player pete always faound the answers when is federerr praying not to meet nadal
@ilanini Although I am a pete fanatic, Remeber he had a bad head to head against a few of his peers, Brugeura (who also beat him In Miami on hard court, although he beat him in paris), 4-3, Krajicek 6-4 (although I argue that Pete was alot closer to beatin him than Fedrer to nadal and pete was catching up to him), Stich I think 5-3 (Although again pete didnt play him enough and most victories came before he was no1 Pete said he was intimidated by him and lucky) Those are the guys from his prime
@ilanini A player whom sampras never seem to find an answer for was federer himself, as their head to head was 1-0 for federer, and it was in wimbeldon, his favorite tournament, in 2001.
