Thanks be to GOD for His kindness and for sending Bro. Eliseo F. Soriano and Bro. Daniel S. Razon. We should love GOD with all our heart, our soul, our mind and our strength. He is good and merciful.
"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win...Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified."
Using a footrace as a metaphor for the Christian life, Paul seemed to think it was possible for him to lose his salvation.
If saved always saved, Why would Jesus tell us to pray always that we might be accounted worthy to escape the wrath to come? He that shall endure until the end. Colossians 1:23. Timothy 4:1-3. Hebrews 3:12, 4:1, 10:26. There's so many more. But you don't have to fall. Jude 1:24. Matthew 24:13, 24:48-51, 25th chapter. These virgins all had oil at one time, but five of them let their oil or Holy Ghost run out. Their lamps were gone out. Stay filled with God's presence. God bless you all!
Great video, thetruthcaster, if you believe Hebrews 6 is being used hypothetically then why use a bible that isnt literal? Hebrews 6 is clear as day, but, if you say that is not literal then how can you prove salvation is? Hebrews is directed to Christians and is warning them if they are to fall away.
hebrew 6;4-10 is not talking about salvation but about the fruits that receives blessing(6:7. and rejection of that which produces thorns and briers .and in v.10 likewise about work and labor of love.
PART II-Though the author is not writing about his readers(v. 4, THOSE..),he still is writing for their sakes(v. 9 YOU..).IF THEY SHALL FALL AWAY is the translation given to the 5th pariticiple of the passage. This is a legitimate and even common grammatical usage by the author within the warning passages(2:3: 10:26; 6:8).The 1st four participles refer to the actual blessings whereas #5 describes a potential situation, and so can be translated unlike the 1st four.
PARTI- Heb6:4-6 This passage does not teach that one can lose his salvation through disbelief or apostacy. These verses refer to a hypothetical situation whereby the author stresses what would happen to a saved person if he could fall away. The author does not believe one can lose his salvation,or that his readers had(compare v.9);but he so speaks to demonstrate the folly some might have in imagining that they can turn back to judaism without suffering loss.-continue to PART II..
Yes. That is right that wickedness will not inherit the Kingdom of God, as written in the Bible.
