K-7 uses essentially the same body as K-5

well the k100d is much older then the k7 what do you expect? of course pentax is going to make the motors better

I love my K100d super to death, but focusing in low light is a slow nightmare (even with the 50 1.4). And what's with the 3 RAW frame buffer?

I really wish I could afford the K7, but the K100d will do nicely for now :)
