me encanta la de la village ,creo que es la mejor ,de segundo puesto me quedaria con la dama en el agua y el tercero y cuarto seria signos y el sexto sentido
Signs, the village and lady in the water are actually in my selection of favorite movies..and each one I've watched many times. I love M.Night Shyamalan and his films and I think he is underrated as a director.
@jamescartash Everything! In my own opinion, I feel as though this is a film I could watch many times and not get bored. Whilst watching this, I couldnt get my eyes away from the screen! It's not to everyone's taste, but it is to mine. and the music is amazing! :-)
4:45: I was not moved by the short part of the soundtrack that I went back twice to the theater to see Signs again. Just that tiny bit... that's how you see how important a soundtrack can be.
Just like in the Happening :"be with you" is such a beautiful piece of music, that it saved a big part of the film to my eyes.
The Sixth Sense is a masterpiece -- definately one of my favorite movies. The Village, Signs, and Unbreakable are also great. The Happening... well, the concept was interesting, but the acting was really cheesy. As for The Last Airbender, I probably won't even bother with it since I can't stand the TV show.
@valentodrumer1 Definitely an under rated movie, it scared the crap out of me, especially when Ivy finally confronts the beast in the woods, I just hated the twist at the end.
James is my favorite contemporary film composer, Signs, The Village and The Last Airbender are probably his top scores, I love the minimalist quality of his writing, so beautifully simple some times but at the same time so effective on picture!.....thanks for posting this video!
Congratulations to the author of this video, the transitions between songs are awesome, it is like it's one 10 min song and not 5 different songs put together, that is very nice.
@Insanekid95 except The Last Airbender was a COMPLETE dissappointment for me after watching the series. Thank God Howard was the composer for the movie or it would have been even worse to watch. T___T
La mejor BSO sin duda alguna es la de El Bosque ( The Village ), un gran dúo el q forman Shyamalan y Howard, el compositor saca lo mejor de si en cada composición, mi lista sería esta:
1. El Bosque ( The Village )
2. La Joven del Agua ( Lady in the Water )
3. Señales ( Sings )
4. El Sexto Sentido ( The Sixth Sense )
5. El Protegido ( Unbreakable )
6. El Incidente ( The Hapenning )
A la espera de escuchar El Último Maestro del Aire ( The Last Airbender ), que todo apunta será muy grande
James N Howard's music is so emotional and involving. Very organic and flowing. But it can also be very tense and abrupt (Signs score comes to mind mostly), which is great too!
M. Night Shyamalan needs to stop making films with the "twist" as thats all we are looking for in his productions. His imagination is brilliant but to be the best you need to constantly evolve. :)
The Village has to have the best Film Score of all time. Definately my favorite. As a hip-hop fan and a rapper myself, that surprises a lot of people that get to know me. But I love classical music because of the skill and beauty of it. Even if you don't like it, you have to respect the job Hilary Haun did with The Village. Made me want to learn to play the violin...
I just got a funny thought. When i was listening to The Signs theme and i was thinking about a parody of M Night turning dramatically with that music. LOL
SENCILLAMENTE MARAVILLOSAS LAS BANDAS SONORAS DE HOWARD,hacen aún mejores las películas de NIGHT,todas ellas extraordinarias, espero que sigan juntos muchos años mas
it's a pity he hasn't won an oscar yet. I love his work for Signs, Sixth Sense, Prince of Tides, and Defiance and not to mention him teaming up w/ Hans Zimmer for the batman films.

@RegisPhilbinFan if hollwood is junk than why do you watch m night movies. are they not financed through large studios? both scott and lee are good directors though they have both ventrued into hollywood too. all i am saying is speilberg is a class above m night. . speilberg has had a bigger influence on film making than m night. i'm a big fan of international cinema especially canadian films. look up deepa mehta. you might like her work.
The thing I like the most about M. Night's movies is that they don't have to be perfect. They're not all about the special effects. I'd say the music is his special effects team. JMN gets across the emotions of the movie in a way seeing it could never express. That's what makes these stories so special to me. And to me, they're that... stories, not movies.
