4:45: I was not moved by the short part of the soundtrack that I went back twice to the theater to see Signs again. Just that tiny bit... that's how you see how important a soundtrack can be.

Just like in the Happening :"be with you" is such a beautiful piece of music, that it saved a big part of the film to my eyes.

The Sixth Sense is a masterpiece -- definately one of my favorite movies. The Village, Signs, and Unbreakable are also great. The Happening... well, the concept was interesting, but the acting was really cheesy. As for The Last Airbender, I probably won't even bother with it since I can't stand the TV show.

M. Night Shyamalan needs to stop making films with the "twist" as thats all we are looking for in his productions. His imagination is brilliant but to be the best you need to constantly evolve. :)

Spielberg is over rated, he has 2good movies to his name, where as Munraj Shaymalan has up 2 maybe 3 & he is only 40. The 2 are 6th Sense & Signs, the 3rd is unbreakable.

Both are different BUT Shaymalan is daring not a Hollywood pleaser. Granted the last 2 was poor. You can only learn through life.

what are you saying. speilberg changed hollywood for ever with his movies. ask any film maker who their idols are and most likley stevens name will come up. he invented summer blockbusters with jaws. he is responsible for some of the most influential films ever made. jurrasic park, ET, The Color Purple, Schindler's list for petes sake. he can direct every genre effectivly. from Hook to AI to Empire of the sun. ask anyone who's better and they will no doubt say speilberg.

The thing I like the most about M. Night's movies is that they don't have to be perfect. They're not all about the special effects. I'd say the music is his special effects team. JMN gets across the emotions of the movie in a way seeing it could never express. That's what makes these stories so special to me. And to me, they're that... stories, not movies.

I'd say i like most of James Newton Howard & M. Night Shyamalan movies but love thee music that plays in all of them. Overall, their work together either is or close to legendary. Unique.. "The Village" i was slightly disappointed in, but "Lady in the Water" is one of my top three movies of all time! Other than those two, i enjoyed thee other movies just fine.
