The album sold well but the singles didn't do much and that disappointed me. I wanted to see Whitney at the top of the charts again. I hope her next album will have some top 40 hits.

We all need to accept the fact that like Madonna, Janet, and even Mariah to a degree, Whitney is an "oldies act" by the music industry. Albums mainly target fans, and TV specials/movies are her best option at this point. And some oldies stations are starting to play Whitney.

Even the fans would be pleased if her next album just went Gold!

night, to be quite honest whitney was not ready to come back yet she had a contract with arista records and she had to put out more albums under this contract befor she had gotton to old and now is the best time clive and the world needed her again!!! but after rehab she needed to practice living life without drugs and bobby and it was too soon for her but I thank god she is back and we can watch her transition with her!! by next year she will be in top form and the yr after even better!!

We should be happy that WH accomplished all that she did. Uncontested in many respects. She IS the standards but unfortunately like you said she wasn't ready. In this case she couldn't step up to her standards. For me I don't need the voice, I want hear emoting skills back. She can prove to be the greatest if she can put emotion despite no more voice. WH is lucky, despite the album people will always love her and that is a true star. IMO she will not come close to a comeback w/o reinvention.

it sounds great I never exspected her to sound the same just great like whitney should and she has that I have all her music to know what she sounds like totally, she has many levels to her speaking and singing voice that is what makes her whitney the VOICE!!! and she will get better then now of course!!! she always does and if not! Sadly people would rather she lost her voice to drugs vs. genetics. They feel in that way WH still would've been on top of her game if she didn't meet BB. The simple truth is genetics, much partying and having children can change a woman's voice drastically. Remember her voice changed when she was in her early 30's having her child. WH has one of the most memorable songs ever and people shud be happy 4 that but no longevity can't make her the greatest. She is 1 of them n she did that in 10 yrs.

I think she looks more matured, sure we can't expect her voice to be the same after 5/7 years of not singing, and the past five years must have been difficult also for her as there are so many singers in the market, not it is different, and less pressure, it would be different. I think it is ok to have that voice, the song would be different, that's normal for people of different age, I like her new voice too, more husky and blues sound or even jazzy at some point

Her voice wasn't the same since Body guard. We still loved her for it but I never pretended that her voice was just as good. WH can prove greatness w/o a great voice. She can emote. Now that she doesn't have a shadow of what she had before, this is her time to show artistry w/o the voice. There are way too many people who kept their voices, Streisand and patti stopped for a while but came back stronger like babs in late 80s and 90s. WH must be put to the same standards. no excuses

Bad examples. Especially Barbara who we all know rarely sings live. Heck, she rarely performs outside the studio and don't get me started with Patti. I saw a concert where people walked out because her voice was so hoarse. And of those people you name who keep their voices, I'd like to know their caliber of vocally , challenge -filled material and just how often they have performed live around the world......to make a fair comparison.

Bobby as the scape goat was the best thing that happened for WH. She has an excuse w/ that guy being around. Honestly she is grown and smart, she didn't have to do drugs. Her downfall is her own. Not saying it would have been easy but she knows better. I remember in Hawaii when she and BB trashed a hotel room and she didn't care. Her voice has gone down due to genetics. Her mom, cousin's voices changed drastically and quickly. So she went thru the same. It aint the drugs. I wish her well.

What people forget to remind, it´s that whitney as been trough a living hell, if she is the one to blame or not, it´s not for us to judge. The fact that she is looking "down" it's quite normal, nobody can abuse from drugs, and escape the effects, but she is looking very good and humble. The songs are beautiful, so lets wait and see if she will pull this trough or not.

I just can wish her all the best, and hoping that she will continue looking on Him.
