The Magic Mouse does not contour to the users hand.
For you guys who think it's uncomfortable or ergonomically badly designed, stop humping it with the palm of your hand. It's designed to use with your finger tips. Rest the heel of your hand on the desk, hold it slightly lower than the mid-point with your thumb and your 4th finger and it's a dream to use. I have very large hands and it's most comfortable mouse I've ever used.
@hellfiredonkey use bootcamp with that feature you can run windows as well. But i havent had any problems with software. I think 90 % of the apps are much better then on windows and the community is also much better. You can run MS Office for mac, Photoshop CS4 and 5 and a lot of other software. No problem

For everyone complaining about expose you can set a one finger middle click, three finger, or four finger click to do the same thing the side buttons used to.

i tried it out, didn't like it. i found it wasn't large enough to grasp comfortably. i'd either have to just lay my hand on top of it, which felt unnatural to me, or curl in the sides of my hand to get a grip. the scrolling thing is cool tho.
i love this mouse. i've had it since launch and i just now realized how to get the best out of it... i had to slow down the scrolling and turn momentum off since it's velocity sensitive. You need to flick you finger swiping fast enough to register, but if you want control you slow down the scroll speed and turn off the momentum.
I'm sure once they add on additional software preferences this mouse will really shine like no other mouse.
it's very comfortable if you place you hand on it with pinky and thumb on either side, and just rest your index, middle and ring finger directly on the mouse. Once they implement 2, 3 finger gestures then it will rule. If they add tap, double tap to act as buttons then it will be the standard for the modern multi-tough mouse.
you can download a app called Better Touch Tool which enables you to add new gestures to your mighty mouse such as 4 finger click, pinch in, pinch out , etc... and predefine an action for them
at first I loved it! but its weaknesses are showing through, the edges of the mouse are nearly RAZOR sharp! resulting in having a very sore 3rd finger where it rests on the edge. taking my 3rd finger away from the edge results in not having proper control of touch functions.
you can't right click whilst left clicking...no good for FPS where you aim + shoot. no good for my PC, not comfortable at all on the mac, only the scrolling is its good point + looks.
i like that it's a track pad, looks beautiful, but I hate that it still clicks. Can it be programed to be clicked the same way as the new track pads with no actual clicking? then I would get it. I have a mighty mouse so I don't really need a new mouse.
I tried one of these at Microcenter... It was horrible. Hell you can tell by looking at how he uses it that wrist and hand cramps are bound to happen. I have semi-large hands and my palm drags on the table, and it is very hard to move a finger while keeping your hand on the mouse (any advantage is negated by this inconvenience). It is also very difficult to swipe your fingers without clicking. After using for just a few minutes I could begin to feel the tendons in the back of my hand hurt.
i got it the other day its amazing...no expoze though but....theyre may be an update...otherwise its worth the 70 bucks andy one considering it....buy it!
Mighty Mouse was a complete disaster in build quality and since that mouse was too small for me, this seems to be no larger and/or comfortable.
Let's hope the build quality is better than the Mighty Mouse, for those who buy. But for me, It's still one of the few products from Apple I don't want. I'll sure try it but for now it seems that function and style is more important than ergonomics and comfort.
Uhh, you can attach a gaming mouse perfectly fine on a mac. But you're right about one thing. Apple doesn't know how to make gaming mice. I have to go out and buy a Logitech mouse just to play Mass Effect on my mac... because Apple's mouse is getting me killed all the time -_-'

yes there is a right click function.
and yes, you can zoom with it - hold ctrl and sroll. simple

i tried it out, didn't like it. i found it wasn't large enough to grasp comfortably. i'd either have to just lay my hand on top of it, which felt unnatural to me, or curl in the sides of my hand to get a grip. the scrolling thing is cool tho.

i love this mouse. i've had it since launch and i just now realized how to get the best out of it... i had to slow down the scrolling and turn momentum off since it's velocity sensitive. You need to flick you finger swiping fast enough to register, but if you want control you slow down the scroll speed and turn off the momentum.
I'm sure once they add on additional software preferences this mouse will really shine like no other mouse.
Gaming with a mouse sucks ass by the way.

it's very comfortable if you place you hand on it with pinky and thumb on either side, and just rest your index, middle and ring finger directly on the mouse. Once they implement 2, 3 finger gestures then it will rule. If they add tap, double tap to act as buttons then it will be the standard for the modern multi-tough mouse.

you can download a app called Better Touch Tool which enables you to add new gestures to your mighty mouse such as 4 finger click, pinch in, pinch out , etc... and predefine an action for them

Had it for one day.....
at first I loved it! but its weaknesses are showing through, the edges of the mouse are nearly RAZOR sharp! resulting in having a very sore 3rd finger where it rests on the edge. taking my 3rd finger away from the edge results in not having proper control of touch functions.
you can't right click whilst left clicking...no good for FPS where you aim + shoot. no good for my PC, not comfortable at all on the mac, only the scrolling is its good point + looks.

i like that it's a track pad, looks beautiful, but I hate that it still clicks. Can it be programed to be clicked the same way as the new track pads with no actual clicking? then I would get it. I have a mighty mouse so I don't really need a new mouse.

I tried one of these at Microcenter... It was horrible. Hell you can tell by looking at how he uses it that wrist and hand cramps are bound to happen. I have semi-large hands and my palm drags on the table, and it is very hard to move a finger while keeping your hand on the mouse (any advantage is negated by this inconvenience). It is also very difficult to swipe your fingers without clicking. After using for just a few minutes I could begin to feel the tendons in the back of my hand hurt.

It takes 2 AA batteries under the bottom cover. On your mac, it will tell you how much battery you have left.

Mighty Mouse was a complete disaster in build quality and since that mouse was too small for me, this seems to be no larger and/or comfortable.
Let's hope the build quality is better than the Mighty Mouse, for those who buy. But for me, It's still one of the few products from Apple I don't want. I'll sure try it but for now it seems that function and style is more important than ergonomics and comfort.

Uhh, you can attach a gaming mouse perfectly fine on a mac. But you're right about one thing. Apple doesn't know how to make gaming mice. I have to go out and buy a Logitech mouse just to play Mass Effect on my mac... because Apple's mouse is getting me killed all the time -_-'
