I have never had mine jam once ever. I need to clean it soon though otherwise I start to worry. I have had mine for a month and fired it only twice so far. Mine are all matching parts and I mean every single part is. Including the magazine which came with the P38.
Oh man thats a rip-off! I got my P38 that was a war-issue model at a gun store for $500! It had 1944 stamped on the side! The P38 is one hell of a good pistol though. I shoot it at a gun range every now and then and when I do it never, ever jams. You ever try the double action on it?
Take yours apart and see if all the serial numbers are matching :) I haven't shot it since this video was taken, but I use both double and single action. I've only had mine jam once, just pulled the slide back and ejected it to fix.
Dude, you need to teach your friend Joe how to shoot. Doesn't he know you're not supposed to lean back when you fire? He really doesn't know what he's doing does he? You need to teach him more than just "point it in this general area and fire" Seriously, you shouldn't let someone fire your gun if they have no clue as to how to use it.
I plan on getting a real Walther P38 someday, when I have a license and some money! My blank one works fine though for my reenacting.. loud as hell too.
If you just want a P38 for shooting at the local shooting range you might as well go for a post war P1. They're much cheaper than a WWII P38 and you don't have to feel bad for using it (compared to a genuine WWII). But I admit that I myself own only a WWII P38 :-) (It's a must have).
That's right, it was on Joe's cell phone. I could afford a camcorder easily, but I'd rather put the money towards something I'd use more...like more guns :)
Mine hits quart oil jugs almost every shot at 100 yards, and I can hit the 240 yard gong two out of three tries. Only pistol I can do that with.
