This is exactly what we, as a country, need to be doing! Let's us argue intelligently to come to a solution that WORKS! Let us embrace our history, understand our present conundrum, investigate the current trends in reform, and debate to find the answer! Good debates produce true answers to hard questions. If the government can pay a massive sales tax at every level - if every city, every county, every state, every federal agency can pay massive sales taxes -- why on earth can't they pay INCOME taxes?

Fairtax says it could be 23% -- but the leaders know thats based on lies, their OWN lies. Mostly, their lie is that government (at all levels) can pay a massive sales tax to itself. Read page 148 FT Book where they try to hide this nonsense "The federal government itself will become a MAJOR taxpayer".
Fairtax is a total and complete Farce, and it's leaders know it. They have run from hearings under oath for 13 years.
