Why do japanese people always make the 'R' sound instead of the 'L' sound?

@thesimpsons2345 Because there is no separate consonant L or R sound in Japanese, it is always combined with a vowel and basically the same sound. Also, their 'R' is no R an English speaker would recognise. When they attempt to say it, their tongue always remains very far to the front and low which means you no tongue-tip trilled R (like in English or Spanish) and no guttural R (like in German or French). When a dual Japanese/English person speaks in Japanese, they basically never say strong R.

@alika331 There is nothing WRONG with it. The phrase is correct. The reason he showed it is because there are SO many times that the word "Let's" is used at the beginning of a sentence, that it has become a running joke.

@alika331 hi, Sorry for the confusion, the statement is not incorrect --like "SirReptitious" said. It is only here because we do not use, " Let's " as often. n.n

It might sound more casual to say, "Let's speak Japanese," but "Let's communicate in Japanese," is ok. If it were an action that someone would normally do alone, like maybe, "Let's go to the bathroom," it can be better to say "I am going to go to the bathroom" unless you really want everyone to go with you : P

But our grammar rules are so complex; that is what makes it hard to master. Also, English has more words than any other language, ~ 250,000.
