There are a few good songs I think what seperates Slayer apart is that they are consistent in making badass brutal thrash music. This band is pretty good but there are only a few songs I like. Same as with other thrash bands or bands nowa these days. Whereas Slayer I can listen to all their albums from 1st song to last. I think Dave Lombardo said it best you have to have melody.

So you should appreciate bands for recording great classics and not insult nearly 30 years old bands because those bands, "the big four" and others truly deserve more respect than few new bands that just pop up and fade away so soon after that.

Can't forget Gammacide. Or my personal favorite, Artillery, Danish Thrash Pioneers formed in 1982. One of the very earliest thrash bands. Their Album Terror Squad is truly a work of thrash.

Razor, Sodom, Vio-lence, Violator, Tankard, Morbid Saint, Death Angel, so many amazing, underrated thrash metal bands. However, lets just be glad that they didn't make it to the same status as bands like Slayer, otherwise they would have tons of faggy "brutal" kids who think they're metal as fans as well. But it is always fun to shut them down when I give them examples of these bands and they're like "Damn Man!!!! These guys kick the snot outta Slayer!"
