Sorayan13 "I recently did an ecodriving coarse and the most economical way to drive is foot down till you're up to speed and then try not to break in any way..."
What totall bollocks!
Who ran your 'ecodriving course' BP or Shell fuel??!!
The only thing 'eco' about driving like that would be the lack of brake shoe/pad wear.
Why do you thinkl the manufactures put the green it on the rev counter?? It's not to make it look cool!!
What a twat. He obvioulsy doesn't pay for the fuel or repairs!
Keep it in the green of the rev counter and you'll get maximum torque and the best fuel economy, drive it like this............... and he'll need another engine or job soon!
@funkyfid Don't bullshit dude... I recently did an ecodriving coarse and the most economical way to drive is foot down till you're up to speed and then try not to break in any way... And who gives a fuck if you'e making a 1 minute video right?
@15Woodsmen this is a truck... built to last.. built to stand up against a fucking atomic winter... not like american trucks.. cold and always breaking down..
@opelhater That has nothing to do with the way it sounds or looks like which is what I was talking about. Dont even get me started on EU vs US trucks. Our shittiest trucks (Freightliner) are owned and usually powered by Mercedes. Our best (Peterbilt) powered by a Cat have been known to last 2 million miles without an overhaul. By the way, a 2012 Peterbilt 389 still has an aluminum hood, cab, and sleeper. Is there any metal left on your trucks? I wouldnt be surprised if your chassis were plastic.
@15Woodsmen i got a scania like this... 143 V8.. the odometer has rolled over 3 times and the engine is still running strong. it has never broken down. and the new Scania 730 is the safest and strongest EU truck... simply the best. but still i would like to drive and american truck.
@opelhater How many KMs are on it? Im not real sure why EU trucks need so many electronics for safety and handling. I guess because the trucks are light weight plastic and super short and only go 55 mph. AND automatic.
@15Woodsmen the one i drive has about 2,2 million km. main reason our trucks are so full of these electronic systems are because the government demands it.. the trucks are limited to 55 mph or 85 kph because its apparently unsafe to drive faster witch is bullshit...
@opelhater That is bullshit. Its nice to know atleast one European doesnt think trucks have to have electronics and its stupid to go faster than 55. Most stand by it like they made those laws or something.
@15Woodsmen well im not gonna fight with u... cuz u seem to know more than me about trucking in EU.. OR Norway! come here and drive a truck.. lets see how u can handle that with ur american trucks... they would not stand a day here...
@opelhater Obviously they couldn't fit in the tiny towns but they could go down the highway like any truck. Bring your European truck here. Itll take atleast a week to cross the US at 55 and try going on a shitty logging road with a 15 foot long truck and single rear axle. All the horsepower in the world wont help ya there. And I don't know too many people that would live in a 1970s size American sleeper.
@15Woodsmen with out the limiter (i have a switch) my scania can go up to 130 Kmh.. its got around 550 HP.. and its not single axle.. i have two but i can lift the most rear axel and i have diff lock.. we use our trucks to travel around norway.. and ur logging roads.. well they may be shitty but try to drive norway in the winter... thats shitty...
@opelhater Thats only 80mph... Lots of cattle haulers here do 120mph and it doesnt take 730 hp either... Im not saying thats safe but it is impressive. Try driving in Alaska in the winter. The Dalton Highway is nearly 500 miles of unpaved 2 lane road with 18% grades and Alaska has less miles of paved roads than Chicago.
