Even though The Old Republic has been getting great reviews, I'm skeptical of how well of a job Bioware will do on Mass Effect 3. I'm entirely against a RPG releasing one year after its predecessor. You simply can't develop a good game that fast, and COD has proven that.

Additionally, there is usually a lot of working going on for a future game even during dev of the prior game. For example the story writers work ahead, as programmers build/make the pre-designed game.
