  • Good tips. I'll try it in the ring next time. Thanks

  • Good job. Funny how when you start talking about a fetus the lady in the back heard it and walked away like oops he said fetus! lol. Good vid

  • I like it when the woman walks up to the door and wants to use the spinning machines and sees you talking to yourself. Good vid though keep it up.

  • great vid man

  • i have a stupid question. you mentioned that we need to kinda stick the jaw to the shoulder, right? then wouldn't it be "flexing" your muscles and compromise your punches? im genuinely new to boxing so i don't know =)

  • fuckin great video nd chanel!!

  • it's so funny when you pause your positions! haha!

  • freaking excellant video, tu so much!

  • what is "not being square" means?

  • @whateverwhenever11 this you should not be shoulder to shoulder with your opponent. your shoulders should be at a 45 degree angle. This is boxing 101. If you are at a 45 degree angle you are a smaller target.

  • @RKGOLF oh thanks man.

  • Dude I only watched one video and a half of this and I already Subscribed! Your the best. God Bless.

  • nice technique!

  • man i wish i would have this man as my trainer...i would be the next big thing!<<<<

  • @albertpope Have you ever had a momentary dislocation in your shoulder or heard of anyone ever having one while boxing? This weekend me and a friend were drunk, slap boxing (BTW witch is the dumbest game ever, always winds up in a fight)and I threw some kine of slap over hand right softly, he jumps up and blocks it like a jump shot, when I felt my right sholder partialy dislocate for a spit second followed by a little pain.Anything I can do to avoid this or exercise to?Bad shoulders from weights.

  • @sz42781 Boxer push ups. Elbows in but hands wide. That makes the pushups much harder by straining your upper back and sub-scapula. That part of the back holds your shoulders in place. Don't do that for a few weeks though. First do pushups only with your shoulders and your elbows locked, on your knees for the first thousand, then you can do them on your toes, normal push up style. They are easy so do one hundred if you can.

  • @albertpope thanks

  • @sz42781 most of the time the ratio Pull/push is in favor of the Pushing ( bench press, flys, peck deck...) mantain a 3:1 ratio to avoid imbalances

  • @sz42781 i experience the same thing it sucks

  • @talkshitpro do you lift weights?

  • @sz42781 yeah man i do

  • @talkshitpro prabablly from shoulderpresss

  • @albertpope red hot chili pepper's bass player

  • @albertpope Bass player from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers

  • @albertpope i know you got this comment a year ago but to answer your question, Flea is the bassist from the band red hot chili peppers =)

  • stop talkin out your left testicle

  • @albertpope I have a question pertaining to footwork . Say I throw a jab followed by a combo from long range where my front foot advances but my rear foot stays behind and piviots.(Now my legs are far apart) If I want to retreat what do I do just bring the lead foot back to where I started? Also What if I what to stay on the inside , Just bring the rear foot in? Sounds silly I know but I want good footwork.

  • @xXFocusRecord Don't leave one foot back. Always step and replace. That means when the lead foot steps in, the rear foot should follow. If you want to move in and out, step in with both feet and then step out with both feet. Stepping in with only one foot leaves you too wide and off balance. Also, your rear hand won't have any KO power if your rear leg is too straight. There is not enough compression in that rear leg when it is straight, so lead step, rear step and then combo punch.

  • @albertpope Thank you very mutch. When you get a chance some time could you make a video going over side stepping for countering and evading. Pivoting to the left ,stepping back to the right at a 45 angle. Basically all the footwork options you have when your trying to box a beast that wants to take you out. Your vids rock.

  • this is GOLD! mad respect

  • Good stuff. Thanks for the videos.

  • Hey can you please please make a video on if the opponent is going backwards how do you chase the guy. What is the footwork? Thanks.

  • This is very helpful. Being a taller and larger boxer I tend to have a bit more room for people to hit, I'll work on this tomorrow for sure.

  • Good Stuff...basic but most important for a good foundation! Thanx

  • great video... thanks

  • there was a hot girl behind you watching :D

  • this will help thx

  • Thanks for teaching this valuable skill, I am hunger for more and wish i can master just one of the skills u taught and slowly getting more and more. Millions of thanks!
