  • Hell I can feel all that preasure of the sound inside my head when singing those high notes, of course I can't (yet) but just imagining is waaaahhh, ADAM LAMBERT ROCKS!!!

  • @geo0o0o thank u so much:)

  • Not only chest but chest, chest/mix, head/mix... He's awesome... If ur a singer and wanna sing like this, ist easier than it sounds... Check out singing succes, speech level singer and Brett manning...the key word is MIX.. Goodluck

  • Whats the song name from @1:19 to @1:24????:D

  • @akakou456 Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love"

  • Damn. :o

  • WOW that is some serious skill!

He would make Bruce Dickenson and all them 80's metal screamers proud. Now if only he was in a good metal band...

So anyway, does this range technically make him a tenor? I am a solid baritone and I'm still working on a chesty-resonant heavy metal E5

  • why gay people always hit the high notes? its a gift or what?

  • @walaweh89 I think it's a gift :) Maybe God wanna reward them their difference. I don't believe in God but I don't know how explain that AMAZING voice :)

  • most of those high notes are mixed chest and head. the highest chest note possible for a man to hit is F5 and he started mixing a good way before that

  • @moesalim88 Could you tell me what note Adam is hitting in the end of My Conviction?? It sounds out of this world!!!

  • What's the song in 4:14? Anybody? :))

  • @loheli666

    Some kind of wonderful , from the hollywood round (;

  • A lot of these notes were named incorrectly, I'm afraid. Doesn't detract from this man's singing. He could melt the sun with that voice of his.

  • I think my laptop just broke on a few of those notes, lol! :) Luv ya, Adam!!!

  • i wish i had adams range 0_0

  • Incredible high notes!!!XD

  • I absolutely LOVE how pure Adam Lambert's voice is throughout his whole vocal range!

  • what song was he singing in at the G#5 note??

  • OH.MY.@ADAMLAMBERT!!! Thank U for reminding me his UNFy vocal abilities! He's just as an incredible singer as can be........& yes, his best is yet to come!!! <3

  • He's AMAZING! Even if you have NO musical knowledge, this will give you goosebumps...unless ur dead! OMG! Adam! How?? I can't even! Thank you Adam! For this! for YOU!

  • Adam's a tenor

  • he sounds like a male mezzo soprano

  • Damn, Adam what happened to you? Get back out here!

  • what's the song at 1:52???plz

  • @CharbelNassourful 1:52 is If I Can't Have You and 5:45 is Whole Lotta Love

  • god it's so sad i know where all these clips come from.... then again i wouldn't have known of this video if i wasn't hardcore glambert :P

  • this is falsetto...

  • @xxCutiBootyxx No buddy his belting skill are based on a really good technique called Mixing. Which is mixing your head voice with your Chet Voice and making a more powerful sound with a lot of resonance!!

  • @xxCutiBootyxx Nope. It's full voice.

  • @xxCutiBootyxx Nope, it's full voice.

  • damn hes sexy

  • What's the title of the song at the 'longest hold of breath' part?

  • where's the yellow button?????????

  • I'm a straight man but I swear Adam Lambert is one of the best looking men I've ever seen

  • @scrmtrumpet Awe, that was a very unselfish kind thing to say.

  • Because the Bb5 is being hit sharp intentionally, it would be A#5...if it was a note intentionally hit low then it would be flat :)

  • what's the song? 0:01 at 0:11

  • @johannkindumbra "No Boundaries"

  • whats adams best F#5 in the studio? im making a video lol i found cryin' but he can definitely do better..

  • @sentfromupabove

    read pm ;)

  • wheres 5:21 from o.o

  • @xXxAlyyy That's from Crawl Thru Fire

  • @StageHolder tnx :P

  • @xXxAlyyy Crawl thru fire

  • The No Boundaries note was a D5 not E5 :p

  • adam <3 take that durbin coypcat

  • Many notes are identified incorrectly in this video

  • To all thinking Adam is singing in head... Wrong. It's called Voix Mix. It's a MIX if head and chest with more chest for volume.

  • @Thriller94 He has one hell of a mix, but... he's actually in head a lot of the time, he just makes it sound so edgy and powerful through proper placement of resonance (forward/nasal).

  • What register is that!? I don't understand the registers of Adam. It's not chest, so is it head? It can't be falsetto. Can someone explain?

  • @iTzJimBoi I have the same doubt DDD:

  • @iTzJimBoi You can call that 'full voice', he kinda has a soft range (listen to "traks of my tears" and "mad word") mixing a soft chest voice with falsetto and a crazy range (when he screams his ass off) mixing chest voice and "distorted head voice"..when you sing loud and you have a LOT of control you can say you are singing in full voice...it's hard even to explain! by the way if you sing in a perfect mix you cannot say if it's chest voice or head voice. adam's CRAZY!!

  • @littleino Ugh..I shall forever be confuzzled. I agree, dude is crazy xD.

  • that just blew my mind :)

  • too bad he's gay...

  • Unglaublich!

  • what was the song in the beginning ?

  • holy smokers.. this range is my range. but i just started a couple months ago...he has such control. he can probably go higher and lower than this by now...O.O

  • what song is at 6:00

  • The second G#5 is him singing Heaven on Their Minds! Hahaha. BEST!

  • His higgest notes are mix :P whatever he has got very good voice :)

  • @Fangir120 The are just a Voix Mix. He is classically trained. He doesn't just belt. Hah. :P

  • well excuse you billybinbob i my slef seen him without makeup and hes still hot sooo bwha!!!

  • NOOOOO!!!!!!! TODAS SON MIXED VOICE NOO CHEST VOICE

  • what is the end song???

  • so talented and amazing...but as for the girls that think hes so hot, chill out...have you seen him without all the make up or extravagant clothes, not so hot...his voice, style, and charisma are to die for

  • @billybinbob I've seen him without makeup and in jeans and t-shirt and he's still hot!

    Sorry Billy Bob.

  • the highnote in the end of this song is Ab5 in chest!

  • how to sing in mixed?

  • SUCK ON THIS JAMES FUCKING DURBIN

  • @kuroiyuki2 anyone who says that james is better than Adam must be deaf!!

Adam definitely has a lot of techniques, not just screaming the high notes, like James. I'm getting bored with James after a few weeks of the same notes over n over again

  • @kuroiyuki2 lol ..... I love Adam ... but I like James .. I think he is OK ... not Adam though

  • 3:28 HOLY SHIT! :D

  • his tone can be very irritating at times. but hes very talented

  • adam lambert is a powerhouse!

  • this guy is a fucking genius *-*

  • he sings higher than my lead singer in my band... and shes a girl....

  • what is the song with the longest breath thing

  • His vocal range should have expanded after Idol, it's been 2 years! Someone should make an updated video. But this is still incredible, thank you!!! :D

  • Adam fans, I know that they have been saying that Adam is a falsetto or counter-tenor, but I did some research on his vocal range, and it turns out that he is actually a tenor, which is awesome. Tenor: C3-C5 His vocal range is from G2 all the way to A#5/Bb5. He really IS talented.

  • what song is 0:43 - 0:50?

  • @sugarsweetdreams it's "Come to me, bend to me" :)

  • adam lambert is so talented

  • where is 8:35 from, itehz gorgeous! he's incredible!

  • @CauseItsVoodoo watch?v=wXvSA6QL7Ac -> it's from his zodiac show pre-idol, at the almost end

  • WOW, IMPRESSIVE VOCALS!

  • Comment removed

  • What was the song he sang and he do you know where it was? the longest hold of breath one <3

  • @TheDemiLFreak1 watch?v=DJYyqzUr6jU it's this performance you're looking for. I just found it and it's really impressive.

  • @minijmin thankk yooh! -glitter hugglez!-

  • I don't know shit about range. But sure I know what sounds good, and Adam definetly does. How does he reach those notes, how higher he can go, if he uses chest voice, mixed voice, falsetto or anything is a second matter. Sure there are people who hit higher notes, especially female singers, but not everyone can sound so good. His voice is just beautiful, what else to say?

  • I have the same vocal Range XD

  • Oh, who cares if it's chest/head whatever! He's incredible, end of story! <3

  • I don't care if he is singing in his head/chest/mixes voice! His range is sick!! Don't forget that. I never heard a male voice like that!

  • I dont reconize the note at 8:35, do you know what song or where he was singing at? Im totally in love with it!!

  • wow, there are low notes too. Not very bright ones but still amazing

  • I think it's AMAZING to hear Adam's voice. He is an INCREDIBLEY talanted. Peeps who don't like him, are SIMPLY CRAZY and DEAF!!!!

    I love this guy!!

  • @ThePianoguy89: it didnt say anything about mixed chest voice it just sed 'chest' so im assuming so...not sure tho

  • @25taza I was saying that pure chest for males ends at G#4. Not mixing above G#4 will kill a voice no matter what voice type. If a person is hitting a D5 without mixing, that is bad technique and it will lack resonance. The same thing for females, pure chest voice for females ends at F#4 no matter what voice type it is. Michael Jackson's belts above G#4 are mixed.

  • @ThePianoguy89 Thats the bridge for pure male tenors, that doesnt necisarily mean thats the end of it or its bad technique. whatever the style is, is what they choose. Adam does sing in his mixed register for a a big portion of his songs. and the thing about michael jackson is not true. he sings a B4 in black or white, just belting, not mixed

  • @afiguy123 Mixed belts are still belts. Mixing your belts allows one to resonate through the nasal cavities and also through the larynx. It allows better support and it also allows more muscle activity to ascend pitches and to aasist in the passagio transition so there is no noticeable break or an unstable change in between different registers. Singing a B4 in pure chest voice would be strenuous for the voice, so again Michael Jackson's belts are mixed because they are resonant and sustained.

  • @ThePianoguy89 very true, but he doesnt susstain his notes, they are not even belts, just yells that can be defined as a note. And t does sound strenuous in the song. Mixed voice is passagio btw

  • @afiguy123 Then it does not really count as a note, maybe more of a vocal exclamation.

  • @afiguy123 Beides, mixing makes the chest voice sound more powerful and resnant than not mixing at all. If Michael was doing the yelling it was not for singing purposes, probably for an intentional musical purpose that he was trying to convey through his music. All in all, MJ mixes his belts all the time just like Stevie Wonder, Tevin Campbell, and other counter-tenor (if called counter-tenors in the pop genre).

  • @ThePianoguy89 Yea it was intentional. I havnt listened to many MJ songs but this was intentional non mixing. But forexample bruno mars. He does not mix alot of his notes and he goes very high for chest voice, without a change in tone production. SO either he has a very powerful and discreet mix, or he is natural tenor.

  • @afiguy123 Bruno Mars actually does mix a lot of his chest notes. I can tell by listening to him. Especially his D5's in Grenade is heavily mixed. Maybe his mix is discreet, but his lower chest register tone differs from his high chest register. His chest voice is powerful, but he still mixes. I think his mixed belts are more chest dominate than head dominate that's why it sounds very belty.

  • @afiguy123 Bruno Mars Vocal Range. /watch?v=q9b-3M3rJR8

  • @ThePianoguy89 I agree hitting a note without mixing after F#4 for females is called screaming ,it has no technique .Great example of screaming woman IS Christina Aguilera.. and it's why her voice sounds so terrible now..

  • @Breniznit I agree, but I do love Christina, I hope she she can fix her problem because she is damaging her beautiful voice.

  • @ThePianoguy89 I agree also.Alot of people think I hate Christina .It's simply not true. Her fans should be pressuring her into not screaming. The toll it's taking is evident when you look at her in 1999 when she was new in the music industry and then looking at her in the candy man era and beyond ..Just gone from nice clear vocals too a out of tune and scratchy mess. Flawed technique, not hate just the truth. I hope she stops screaming

  • @ThePianoguy89: actually it is humanly possible to reach D5 is chest michael jackson has hit these notes in chest. He has even gone higher and hit G5 check out hes vocal range ull be suprised

  • @25taza Yes, but he hits a D5 in mixed chest voice, not pure.

  • He has definitely developed his lower register while being on tour. I would be interested to see what the range is currently for Adam. He rarely does go into falsetto. The one example I can think of off-hand is "eyes baby eyes" in Music Again. I would listen to Adams raw wild but technically proficient vocals any day over Celine and Whitney who bore me to tears. Aretha is brilliant too.

  • at g#5 its like whstle note

  • I love that you ended this with Come to Me Bend to Me which really shows his classical vocal training too.

  • With a range like that he could sing some of Mariah's or Whitney's classic hits.

  • @QuietStormMan That doesn't mean he'll sing it well...lol...I mean he's good but lets not go that far....

  • @gaylolful LOL...very true.

  • @QuietStormMan LOL could you imagine him singing Hero? Or I will always love you? HAHAHA I would start laughing...he'd probably scream the YOOOOOOO in I will always love you....

  • @gaylolful yeah, that would be one hot mess, vocally speaking....hehehe : )

  • @QuietStormMan Haha yup!

  • take that miley

  • Geoff Tate, a1- a5 all chest/ "mixed" as you Americas go talent singers like to refer to it.

  • i don't know much about octaves but holy crap!

  • What is the name song 8:04 G # 5

  • @bijeleudovice2 Actually singing in pure chest voice in the 5thoctave can actually damage the voice. It is proven that pure chest voice for guys ends at G#4 and females F#4. It is almost humanly impossible to reach a D5 in chest. Mixing your belts gives better support, it also creates a clear sound, and more resonance. I did a C5 in pure chest, does not sound too pretty.

  • @ThePianoguy89 "It is proven that pure chest voice for guys ends at G#4" - how can that be true... do you mean for a baritone? certainly not for a tenor - then it's higher up

  • I'ts a great voice!

  • I thought he could reach the 6th octave with his voice lol

  • Now that is crrrrrrazy...and now that he's on tour his lower vocal range has also expanded

  • adam laberts voice is a BOMB!!!

  • SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WAT THT E5 IS AT 4:12

  • @Gir1023 If you mean which performance that is from, its "Some Kind of Wonderful" group number, Hollywood round 2. There's a youtube vid for it.

  • He is next Axel Rose!

  • Ok people this stuff about mixed, head and chest voice is all bullshit. I'm sure you all hear the cut that his tone has. Thats call the phlaryngeal voice.(please excuse the spelling). Its what every singer that sings high is in. In its isolated form with little resonance it sounds kinda like axl rose. The secret is acoustic resonance. Air resonates people.

  • MY WINDOWS SHATTERED.

  • @bijeleudovice2 He is very inspirational. I can read classical piano fragments. A great deal of my piano repertoire consist of pop and R&B.

  • @bijeleudovice2 Yes he is a great pianist, in his compositions, shows characteristics of classical piano (Bohemian Rhapsody). Was he trained in classical piano?

  • @bijeleudovice2 so he is a baritone with tenor charecteristics. I would say that he still belts E5's in mixed because it would be hard for a baritone to do that. If he were to do that in pure chest voice, it would hurt. It is impressive that he could do a bass F (F2) up to a coloratura F (F6), 4-octaves for a guy. He is a great multi-genre vocalist and a great pianist.

  • @bijeleudoviceThe Eb5 that Freddi Mercury did sounds mixed to me, since he is a rock singer, rock singers heavily use mix voice for that edgier/scream effect. I suppose that Freddi Mercury is a countertenor and counter-tenors feel comfortable mixing the higher 5th octave belts.

  • Comment removed

  • @bijeleudovice2 You are right as well. I can reach a D5 in pure chest voice, but usually for males there's a breakage starting at Eb5, usually when you have to start mixing. I don't think any male singer can do Eb5 and up in pure chest voice, that would be too dangerous. There should be a vocal range video for Michael Bolton!

  • @ThePianoguy89 umm David Cook goes up to Eb5 in his vocal range video, but no higher.

  • @Gir1023 I think that's David Cook's his head voice is not fully developed. If he could expand his head voice, he could expand his range. He is still amazing! I like the power in his voice. I think his Eb5 is mixed. He could really belt with so much power for a guy. I think he is a bari-tenor, so he should be able to reach a G5 in head voice.

  • @ThePianoguy89 Then he must have A LOT of chest in his mix cause it sounds like it hurts to do tht! I can go up to Bb5 in mix and I am a bari-tenor so he should be able to

  • @Gir1023 I don't think it is hurting him. His belts are more chest dominate, but still mixed. I can go up to an A5 in mixed chest voice. I don't think he's straining at all, he is just manipulating his voice to give it that rock raspy sound.

  • @ThePianoguy89

You can go up to an A5 in mixed chest voice?!!! Any references or tips? I mean, wow. I can only go up to an A4 so far. O_O

  • @Astariel2525 Sometimes I can do an A5 during vocal warm ups, I am familiar with most pitches since I am a pianist too. It depends on your voice type or where your tessitura feels comfortable singing in such a range. If you are a high tenor, reaching an A5 in mixed chest voice is pretty easy. If you are a low tenor or baritone that would be kind of a stretch. Mostly males feel comfortable accessing an A5 in falsetto. I can sing a G#5 in mixed voice, just can't sustain it like Adam can.

  • @Astariel2525 An important tip is to do vocal warm up excercises and to be able to connect your head voice and chest voice effectively. That depends on brething/proper support. Try holding your head back like James Durbin did on American Idol to access those high belted notes. Usually the typical chest note form some males is an A4 in full voice. An A5 is even rare for me on some occasions. If you practice scaling up the chromatic scale, you should at leat to pull of an Eb5 in full voice.

  • @Astariel2525 you probably can't then - but what you can do - and it still sounds awesome - is use your head voice / a sort of forced falsetto (highly recommend to only do it when warmed up / only a couple of times). I've gotten to E5 in chest (the one in Queen of the Reich) - I just can't mix in the chest any higher (it's even questionable if I can get the E5, although I've done it before).

  • what on earth is 7:33 lmao

  • Why are people confusing head voice with falsetto? Both are totally different vocal productions. Falsettos are usually airy and comes from behind the throat. Head voice is not airy, it resonates from the head. With Adam's belts he's mixing head voice with chest voice (males and females do it), it's called full voice. Mixed chest notes are more resonate and demonstrates the dramatics of belting. I am a male and I can belt in the 5th octave by mixing.

  • one word...underated!

  • @scarletngold Two words,

    FUCK OFF.

  • i think its ideal for him to sing listen from Dream girls :'D

  • @DaanishRehmanMUSIC omg yes !!!

  • whats the song a 4:23?

  • @brosiv12 One By U2 , but Adam did a studio version, personally i think his is better than the original :) <3
