  • Poor explanation. Lack of effort.

  • i was expecting to see a bigger boat cross by the bridge

  • its the bridge from maximim overdrive

  • That bridge is in "Maximum Overdrive"

  • Hes not explaining the red light correctly. When the operator stops the traffic, the high horsepower vehicles are allowed to pass and ramp over the gap. If some of the cars do not make it then their car is either totaled or the 1st place jumper gets their pink slip. I can't believe they didn't mention this as its a big part in draw bridges.

  • What hp motors are they using ?

  • I watched a bridge tender do this once at St. Augustine Florida!!!!!!

This vid. doesn't show'em pull the locks though...

  • Cool Now I can Show people what I do

  • You a bridge tinder?

  • Yes I operate draw bridges & swing bridges I can email ya pics of them

  • I bet it's nice to get paid good money to push buttons and stop traffic and you don't have to deal with personalities at an office! I'm in Seattle and we have quite a few draw bridges here. While they have made me late many times, it is quite awesome how they work.

  • Portland here. We have a few of them, but they're rarely opened that I've noticed. That is to say they're rarely opened when i'm down there (i'm not sure exactly how much they are used).

  • I never really knew what the motor and gears looked like. Great video.

  • Why isn't anybody replying to these drawbridge videos??? Anyway I liked this one a lot. Great video.
