  • @Dem0nz890 I have heard that the 4.10s are VERY fast off the line. If you intend on racing and highly modding your car, you will probably benefit more from the 4.10s, but for a daily driver, I wouldn't go above 3.73. I don't know much about this, so I'd email Chris @ AM. Good luck!

  • as a 2011 v6 owner, im still shocked at what these cars can do! i had a n/a 2002 gt 'stang and i was making about 320 at the wheels and 340ftlb with bolt-ons and a major tune. i bought it from a family friend and he bought it new for 24,988. i put maybe 6-8k into that car. i bought my 2011 v6 for 22k and it HAULS. i cant wait to get my own street killer project! Keep up the work AM, youll be getting orders from me pretty soon so be ready!

  • Just think about it. A streetable V6 Mustang running 11's with a blower. And still able to pull down 30mpg on the hwy! The insurance savings alone by having the V6 makes this 11 second car more affordable for those who cannot afford the 5.0L, cannot afford the insurance on a 5.0L, or both. Take a base V6, put a blower and supporting mods and still have less money into it than a 5.0L AND pay much less insurance + great mileage. Personally though, I'll keep my 2011 5.0, but this is impressive.

  • conclusion: you dont need a V8 to be fast, they should have put the 3.7 in the Ranger too instead of discontinuing the ranger :(

  • I realize AM does not offer this exhaust system, but have you guys heard anything about the Borla LT headers and the X-pipe? I'm curious to see how they compare to the BBK setup.

  • Wow, 11 second V6! I'm a bit thrown off by the speed though. 116 seems like a low speed for an 11 second car.

I just bought the 2012 V6 Premium with the Performance Package for less than 30 grand. Come on, Dodge and Chevy can touch the performance, value and bad ass looks that my Ford has. I drove it from Sarasota to the Blue Ridge Mountains and got almost 35 mpg doing 80+. Driving through the mountains of NC let me know what that car was built for FUN.No Bailout needed here.  2014 ??????

  • If I wasn't so satisfied with my Mach, I'd buy one of the new 5.0's...but these v6's are seriously impressive, for Ford to make a car like this is amazing, technology has done alot in the past year (especially with this muscle car battle going on)...I think it's great that you guys have put this car in the 11's! I've never been a fan of the v6 Mustangs, but this would be the one I would ever even think about buying! Good job on the car, it looks great!

  • This is coming from myself, who has only owned V8 Mustangs (5 total...), I feel the V6 with the performance package is the best all around deal. Some tuning and simple power bolt ons and you can have a 12sec car that gets nearly 30MPGs and will handle great.

  • I applaud you guys for the times this car is turning. NICE work! Ya, if you want to go fast, and you have the money, start with the 8. But if you already have the 6, nothing wrong with modding it - obviously.

  • I know theres a lot of haters out there but this V6 is fucking awesome... Personally i would rather have the GT given how much money has been put into the V6 but i couldnt knock anyone who didnt have money for the GT when they bought a v6 then decided to mod it later down the road... I dont think too many people would decide to buy the 6 with the immediate intention of dropping another 10 grand into it...

  • @jvepps Because we're AmericanMuscle - it's what we do! We have a 2011 GT, 2012 GT, 2012 Boss... and we plan on modding them as well. We really wanted to see what the limit of our V6 was, though.  We're still not done!

  • @333krisb Well for starters, u can get the coyote complete engine for $6130 at american muscle. but i'm sure u will need more to comeplete the transplant.

  • @blackcrisis2004 yes sir thanks for the info also I was going to get the transmission as well or should I upgrade to a better one in your opioion also the reason i am getting a new one is cause I think I bout to throw a rod in my egine now and does american muslce give military discounts I need to save all the money I can.

  • @blackcrisis2004 That's not to bad of a price do yall give military discount also should I get the transmission the comes with the new 5.0 or is their a better that I could get for the same amount it would cost for it also is it normal for my mustang to be making a knocing sound with 60000 miles its getter worse everday I took it to my dealersship and they said it was fine but my friends say it is not what should I do in your opion

  • @333krisb sorry i don't know if american muscle give military discounts, but as for as your motor if it only has 60,000 miles on it and making a knocking noise something is wrong. i would suggest u taking it to another shop. have u checked your oil yet? when was the last time u put some in?other than that, i would stop driving it till u get it looked at from another shop. was that a ford dealer shop u took the car, and by the way, what year is it?

  • @blackcrisis2004 yes sir when I bought the car they were putting in regualr ford oil so when I did the oil change I put in mobil one made sure I got the right one since then I had changed it two times every 3000 miles also its a 07 I do race my car on the road sometimes and is rough so I was expecting it to happen but I asked a friend and he thinks its my timing belt do you think this is possible

  • @jvepps There is no reason not to do it. Stop hatin' anyway, I myself own a V-8 Mustang but the new V-6 is a real screamer and total sleeper.

  • @aznguy11111 Won't be satisfied with a car that makes 300hp stock and starts at only $22K? Just a couple years ago you had to buy the GT to get that kind of power, and at a higher price. This new V6 is awesome.
