obviously the hp will be better because it has a better processer it has a T7100 and the toshiba has a T5500. If you put an SSD in the T5500 it would piss all over the T7100 machine. I dont think the boot up and shut down tests determine which machine is better, more like showing which one has a faster Hard Drive.

Its even has even Higher load that intel pentium dual core (yonah). Even know a FSB 533MHz and the core 2 duo have 667 or 800MHz for laptops

Startup speed is 95% related to your hard drive speed. Check out some pcs with solid state drives starting up and you will see what i mean
