May Paul Newman rest in peace and my thoughts are left with the family. He was truly admirable, handsome, talented, and giving man. His grandchildren were his biggest fans and so is my daughter who loved his character in the Cars movie were he played Doc. He will truly be missed by all of us. =(

Paul Newman raced in NASCAR? That's news to me! I know that Newman raced in the SCCA, including their TransAm series, then in IMSA, World Sports Cars, GrandAm, and American LeMans. He's also co-owner of a Champ Car team with Carl Haas with French driver Sebastian Bordeaux. Maybe he ran a few one off races in some of the NASCAR feeder series' such as Southwest Tour or Busch, but I've never heard of him rubbing fenders with Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon!
