That sounds just wonderful! I wish it wasn't so dangerous, and that I wasn't so scared to take that kind of thing on. I'd LOVE to know what it's like to just float around with no gravity. Closest I came to that was when I realized my childhood dream about gliding down in a parachute and finding the courage to go skydiving (tandem, that is). Kudos to Buzz Aldrin and the others who reached the moon... and the rest who have the courage to go up into space.
Drumming the welfare pales to get more money to throw away on this. We've far too many pressing realities on this planet. BTW, the space race was a race for military superiority. We now have that. We can destroy this planet a few times over. There is no benefit to p*ssing away billions more on such things.
"Shockingly", huh? Well that's duly noted, Shocked. You interpret history your way, & I'll do it mine. The Space Race was all about military superiority. If you don't realize that? You don't know much... Google Sputnik's impact, Einstein.
@neomuttley Sure kid, you know plenty about space exploration. There's no way you a dirt ignorant on the subject, and repeating BS you've heard elsewhere. If the space race was only about military goals we never would have went to the moon. A space station actually has military applications. A dune buggy on the moon does not.
Suggesting money spent on space is pissed away makes you a joke.
I'm middle-aged, & think for myself, Thank You. If you don't realize the space race was about military power, & military might is about money? You don't know much. Type all the rude replies you please. It is what it is...
@neomuttley Your repitition of cliches doesn't sufficiently mock wisdom enough to confuse anybody who knows anything about the subject at hand. I understand some one once told you it was only about military applications and you've been repeating that for years without anyone correcting you, but It's bullshit. If it wasn't you would have tried to contradict the logic of what I said instead of bragging about being middle aged and ignorant.

1:47. Buzz Aldrin is no longer named "Edwin". He had that name changed legally to Buzz before this interview.
