  • WOOOOW, I just made this for my family, and what a SUCCESS!!!! Chef Jean Pierre is the real deal, and everyone owes themselves to try this!

  • this guys knows what he is doing.

  • good job:)

  • this should be a comedy video

  • I wanted to know how but now im irritated and a talking a like dis douche

  • oui oui.

  • I wish he would listed the ingredient amounts.

  • why is he laughing when he says beef bouillon??? 3:52

  • professional chefs using bouillion in gourmet cooking, is considered cheating , that why u get a cheeky laugh there

  • @jitterbux Beef stock > Beef bouillon

  • Sounds likea mix between Wolfgang Puck and some guy from Brooklyn.

  • His accent is funny but he got magic hand! Looks so DELICIOUS!!!

  • lol it's like listening to southpark

  • Like if salad fingers brought you here.

  • where's the cream???? that's not stroganoff...

  • @tuca182 Real beef stroganoff, like real pasta carbonara, has no cream in it. People just add cream because it makes it better, but the original recipes have no cream whatsoever. Hope that helps.

  • @Chapels Actually no, the earliest recipes always had creams. If anything, the onions and mushrooms are later additions, though now they are considered essential. Though this dish may be delious even without sour cream or smetana, it is technically not stroganoff. I would still eat it though.

  • I tried this guy's stroganoff today, following every bit of his instructions..hmmm..turned out delicioussss!! I ate it together with potato casserole which I also made myself..

  • i <3 BEEF STROGANOFF ! ITS SO TASTY lol

  • Wow, this is such and odd way of making stroganoff. It's as if the recipe is from like Russia or northern Europe. Oh yeah...IT IS. Please don't be the asshole who puts a can of cream of mushroom in your stew guys. I beg you.

  • *clicks on vid*

    *puts in earbuds*

    HI THEEEERRRRE!

    *falls out of chair*

    WHAT THE FUCK?!

  • @woahcoolwaffles121 happened to me too lol

  • @sprawlmessiah lol wow

  • I like the 'Onee-yon' accent..very Frenchy pronunciation...

  • Worse than Yank accent, French-Yank accent ugh

  • cooking for 2 and a half hour!!!!???? i didnt know beef stroganoff needs that long to be cooked (O_O)

  • Who the heck told this idiot how to make stroganoff???? WTH!!! ITS SO TOTALLY WRONG................... THIS DUDE IS ON CRACK!!!!!!!

  • @hosalmeer Why is it so wrong the way he prepares this stroganoff? I'd be interested to know, I want to try to cook real stroganoff....

  • @Kermista It doesn't take three hours to cook. The onions shouldn't really go brown either. Try typing 'rick stein stroganoff' into the seach field. It is actually a pretty quick dish. All the stuff with tomato puree and beef stock is completely not necessary.

  • @hosalmeer Tq so much for the info! Appreciate it! Nonetheless, I did prepare beef stock yesterday to keep up with this guy's recipe because they don't sell beef stock in my country (Malaysia). Glad to know that beef stock and tomato puree not necessary. I'll check it up with rick stein. Thanks again!

  • @hosalmeer I did check rick stein! True, his version of stroganoff seems lot easier, no tomato puree and beef stock, still look delicious. Mtay be I should try both versions huh!

  • This accent sounds like French Canadian rather than Parisienne.

  • is his voice real? he could be american trying to sound like french lol XD

  • @JoeyParkerJ sounds like a a french new yorker....know what your sayin

  • @JoeyParkerJ He's probably a french born in America xD

  • I love the dish, love the chef.

  • JUST A LITTLE TOMATO PUREE RIGHT THERE LIKE THAT YOU SEE?!?! HAHAHA

  • Your accent is soo cute (L)

  • Could you use red wine instead of beef broth?

  • i prefer it on rice..

  • i love this guy

  • NO MATTER WHAT YOU MIGHT THINK ABOUT THE WAY HE SPEAK, I LIKE HIM AND THE BEEF STROGANOFF HE IS PROPOSING HERE

  • 2:00 Quooootos!!

  • Ochin Horosho!!!

  • I am laughing my ass off XD

...and I'm not even high :D:D

  • Is this guy French?

  • heh , isnt this the MADDAFAK guy ?

  • Beef Stroganoff deve essere tagliato a strisce sottili! Questo piatto somiglia più al Gulash!;-))

  • Why put flour? You're going to simmer for a good 2 hours, it'll reduce down.

  • @LapisGarter it just adds to the thickening process.

  • Frenchlish

  • 1:04 Not Enough Pepper. hmm?

  • this is not beef stroganov... that is some kind of a beef goulash... im sure that is good but not stroganov

  • @Olekpop OK, stroganoff police. Beef, mushrooms, sour cream, egg noodles - sounds like stroganoff to me.

  • @mdeck77 okay, it's not a real beef Stroganoff but's its really similar, why ? because he put tomato paste and he didn't pu any alcohol( i mean it's a dish from Russia, if there no alcohol...it's not Russian right ;) ?)

but yea , it's Chef jean pierre interpretation, he's french and he owns the kitchen.

Dont take it personnal and remember : bon appetit et amusez-vous dans la cuisine , bande de gros cochon :)

  • His stock gave it that rich colour. My stock - Knorr - is watery and light in colour. This food looks damn good.

  • GENIUS SKILLLS Chef Jean Pierre! :)

  • this is the closes recipe i found to what we cook in russia.

  • there ya go, its about time already!

  • Al Capone meets inpector Clouseau

  • This looks delicious! Do you have a website where I can obtain exact measurements of the ingredients? Thank you for sharing!

  • what the hell kind of accent is this

  • @crabinfested black guy trap in pueto rico body..

anyway, i like this accent.. its make me feel really hungry when hear he talking.

  • Chef, you RULE!

  • quantities????

  • His accent's fake!

  • A man to marry:-).....

  • im eating beef strogonoff litterally

  • @Rokulda I'm literally reading your comment about you literally eating beef stroganoff.

  • @knifeforkandaspoon Literally?

  • this is the best stroganoff recipe!

  • he's one chipper dude

  • it's hilarious when he chuckled after he said "beef bullion" hahahaaha

  • lol, i love his accent.

  • yum! I always find western food attractive

  • No tomatoes of any kind in beef stroganoff !!!!!!

  • lol

  • lol :D onyoooonnn

  • on- yo!

  • @Asianlovejuice guess you never really cook...

  • He had me until the tomato puree, yuck. That's more of a beef stew than stroganoff. You know you don't have to put tomatoes in everything!

Use a more tender cut of beef and you won't have to cook it for hours!

  • has anyone tried this reciepe ??

  • @monaliza80jo

I did a few weeks ago...it turned out really good I thought!

  • @monaliza80jo I've prepared this recipe and it was lovely. Disregard the food snobs who insist that a Stroganoff can only be prepared a certain way. This was a delicious dish and a Russian friend of mine insisted that it tasted pretty authentic.

  • this is one of the most delicious, simple recipies in the world. I love it.

  • hahahahaha wow I still don't know what stroganoff is. This bored me so I stopped paying attention. My beef stroganoff = lbs of ground beef, "stroganoff" sidekicks, cook both, add together, spice up. Eat.

  • yes, no, yes, no, yes??

  • Is this guy from New Orleans. The accent is like a French Emeril

  • "right here" Lol, this guy is from New york :D

  • onyonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnns

  • This is no stroganoff

  • @drieendijk

You don't know what beef stroganoff is then.

  • @ajhnson Sorry then, but you must always use Wodka and cognac flamebe and blus with cream

  • @drieendijk because a russian peasantry dish is totally going to use vodka and cognac.

  • 'On-yon' ;D

  • it's a cross between italian and french... anyway, beside that, looks good.

  • Yeh, he's faking the accent

  • ADD a bit of heavy cream as if simmers and cognac, and this stroganoff goes a LOOOOONB way

  • Has anyone tried this?

Does the tomatoe puree affect the flavor? hopefully not too much.

Also, I usually add cream cheese. Would it help or hurt this recipe?

Just curious what people thought of this if they tried it, compared to traditional ways.

  • @bucfan79 I think using cream cheese would help the recipe. I've never made stroganoff with tomato though. I'm a bit put off by that, lol.

  • Sounds more like New Orleans accent.

  • what about mustard and lemon (you can say citron to sound french)?

  • THAT IS YUMMY

  • this looks more like stew

  • i love this italian guy.

  • His 'French accent' sounds more like a New York accent...

  • I can do a better french accent than this guy.

  • it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO important!

  • It looks delicious, but it's basically a beef stew, not a stroganoff. You can cook any meat for 3 hours with herbs and tomatoes and stock and it will taste great. Anyway, it's still a good video

  • LAME! That's no beef stroganoff. Don't take me wrong, it looks amazing, but there's no tomato in beef stroganoff. There is no beef stock in beef stroganoff. The sour cream needs to be added WHILE everything is stewing so that it's flavor will be taken in by the beef. What he made looks yummy, but I probably wouldn't call it genuine beef stroganoff.

  • actually authentic/traditional stroganoff is often served with a red sauce and the sour cream on top

    so fuck you :)

  • @bobbybushae339 You need to simmer down, mister. Profanity doesn't make your argument any more potent.

You need to ask yourself, "why would I smile after saying something like that?" Personally, I think you ought to get your emotions checked out.

Please don't respond. I won't even read your comment if I see a hint of immaturity.

  • @pwnagnerd Me neither.

  • @pwnagnerd You'd made a comment about this video. Although you may have made the comment a while back, I'm just now getting to see this video and read some of the comments. So I thought I'd respond to your comment =)

  • @Lillian0813 Oh, yeah, I just didn't know which comment you'd responded to :P

  • @pwnagnerd You'd said what he made looks yummy, but you wouldn't call it genuine beef stroganoff. I was agreeing with there, lol.

  • David Hasselhoffs favourite food is stroganhoff.

  • onioooos

  • Damn, he sounds like a new yorker trying to sound french and shifting between greek and australian

  • @wohodude100 I think so too!

  • I laughed when he said we have to use good meat, chuck roast.

  • this dude is not french...he seems to forget his accent sometimes

  • @DarthF21 agreed. lmfao

  • he sounds cajun.

  • Looks good...nice video!

  • his accent sounds made up

  • Interesting... Usually in Brazil we prepare it with paris mushroom and table milk. The table milk here is more sweet than sour cream and usually we mixed it with tomato sauce to bring a coral colour. We dish with cooked white rice and fried potatoes. So delicious...

  • @fabiokuriyama yum!

  • i made this meal for my family a while back and they love it ...5 stars...makeing it agian tonight..

  • I love beef stroganoff

  • ONYO

  • lol!

  • fuck off

  • are you puertorican? you sound like my babysitter long tine ago

  • are you french, english, from new york? you have different accents that fade in and out

  • Yeah, that accent kind of fades in and out and for having such a thick accent, his english is really good, even down to the slang. What a faker!

  • yeah, seems a little phoney to me. this guy claims to be all that and he's making the same food i grew up with. whats the difference between a great cook and a chef? a chef needs a big money education to excuse their arrogance, while a great cook can make the same dish on a shoestring, without the attitude.

  • @sickkat44

Well, technically a chef is the one who LEADS the kitchen. He's the one who makes the menu, oversees and does ordering in of product, maintaining the standards of the food, etc. A good chef also has a vast knowledge of food. Perhaps being a chef too long, being off the line, they lose their speed, but they make up for it in experience and knowledge.

  • @sickkat44 titles aside, what separates a chef from a cook is that a chef creates recipes, a cook just follows them.

  • if thats the case mojo, my mom has always been a top notch chef and we never even knew it!

  • @sickkat44 its obvious he's a texan....

  • Да ну в пизду, какой это нахуй бифстроганогв с томатной пастой...

  • looks like philippine caldereta de cabrito.

  • I love how he says 'onion'..

  • onyo! lol

  • Just made this....friggin' awesome......Jean Pierre you rock!

  • HAI DER!

  • I love (happy face)!!!

  • looks delicious

  • you mean flour not flower don't you? and he did use flour. BUT, if you want to use flowers, then no, he didn't use that, lol

  • woah cajun accent sounds somethin like an americanized french accent

  • It's not Cajun. He's from France.

  • he talks funny and it made the video better haha

  • this is not original boeuf stroganoff!

  • the recipe looks good.

    I should try it sometime.

  • This is not stroganoff!!!! It does look good though :)

  • This dish is a quick dish, you must use fillet steak which cooks fast. I liked his recipe though and will try it.

  • Ial stick with skillet stroganoff :p

  • funny guy ;)

  • He is Cajun not french

  • if that guy is french, i'll eat my hat !!!

  • @bakertrude Eat it bitch. Lol. :))

  • @bakertrude Don't do :D this is an italien accent, definitely not french lol

  • @bakertrude: Bon Apetit!! XD

  • @bakertrude I agree

  • @bakertrude

How about you gust shut up.........

  • Traditional stroganoff has cubes of beef but no onions, mushrooms or tomato. I make mine completely different, I use everything I'm not meant to and cook it for 10hrs in the slow cooker, then serve it on rice! If any Russians read this, I'm sorry :)

  • He does this entirely differently to how it's served in the UK, and I'd imagine most other places, where it's a creamy white wine dish. It'd be interesting to do this scoop-of-cream-separately technique, but surely there's no reason why that couldn't be done with any old reddish stew, or even casserole.

  • I disagree with using tomato puree for this dish; paprika ftw!

  • Looks delicious. I'm going to use the recipe w/ my slow cooker

  • This French Guy knows his stuff!!!

  • Nothing worse than an over-excited french guy!

  • Cajun, they are the only people that say onion like that.

  • STROGANOFF SMEXY FOOD =P

  • My dad always makes it without mushrooms and tomato puree, but with pickles and mustard in the sauce... hmm delicious!

  • on-yon LOL

  • he's probably cajun...or french

  • This recipe is great. I was skeptical at first but I tried it and damn it's good. I am making it again tonight and I can't wait to eat.
