It was a piano phrase from the background music on the soundtrack. Not paranormal. I do soundtrack work so I feel that I know the difference. And I've actually heard that same piano in other episodes and have been fooled before. The Waverly Hills episode I remember it being on for example. TV shows always reuse the same background music and effects. And besides, there's no way the dudes would've missed that.
