Ocelots and Bobcats both can have good temperament. they are similar in many ways to house cat, as they are closely genetically related. (sub-family Felinae)

bobcat males have been known to spray like crazy though.

also even though the Ocelot is considered "endangered" in US teritory, world wide they have been taken off the list. so I morally don't see anything wrong in having one as a pet. of course with proper education, dedication and responsibility. And respect their natural habitat

Watch Ginger the Bobcat videos - they can be very loveable - it's all about their upbringing.

Horse plus donkey = mule. So different species CAn and DO mate and the offspring may very well be sterile.

Different species cannot breed. If they successfully conceive (unlikely), the offspring will be sterile.

lions and tigers do, its just that in narure, theyd never meet. same with these 2. i personally wouldnt let them mate incase there was a possibility of reproducing. its not ppls place to go breeding new subspecies of wildlife. just look at white tigers ( no theyre not a rare species, theyre mutant genes in inbreds) and ligers/tigons. it just shouldnt be done, as we dont know what health probs the offspring would have. but a bobelot would be cute! XD

I have a bobcat that is a complete luv bug. He drools, headbutts, and smothers me to death with lovin. He does not have a mean or antagonistic bone in his little body. I do not have an ocelot, but I hear that they are prone to biting, from a friend that has had many years experience with them.

FYI... If there were to be a successful mating between two species, you would take the first part of the males name and the last part of the females name. Such as if a male bobcat and a female ocelot were to mate, it would then be a bobelot... the other way around, male ocelot, female bobcat, it would be an ocebob
