I was at this game...absolutely incredible game. Couldn't have asked for a better Homecoming script. Hester is by far the fastest player I've ever seen in person. What a freak. In the end though, the freshman Barth came through.

I was at this game and it's one of the best I've ever seen live or on TV. I'm not a Carolina fan, in fact I went to NC State, but I loved seeing a team from North Carolina beat Miami. Hester's 2 point run at the end of the game was amazing how fast he is. This game was on Halloweeen night and it was awesome! I sat and watched the students tear down the goals and relly enjoyed the evening!

No matter who you support, this was one of the great college football games of all time. It had it all -- David vs. Goliath, overflow home crowd, prime time TV, multiple lead changes and ties, and game winning field goal by untested freshman kicker.

its okay. I am a Tar Heel fan. I was just telling what records both teams had that year. If UNC had finished 9-3, that would have been awesome. But they only finished 6-6. But UNC will get better with Butch Davis in charge.

UNC has gotten extremely better since the beginning of the season - no one can deny that. With only one loss being a blow out, (#2 USF), UNC could have a much better record then they have if things could have gone there way in some of the close games and they over come freshman mistakes.

love how in the beginning the commentator says this is miamis "second trip to the state of carolina" i mean we all know north carolina is the real carolina but i dont think it would hurt too much to add the north on a national broadcast....the defense was awful in this game unc had around 650 yards and miami had around 550 sloppy but amazing

Butch Davis is going to do wonderful things at North Carolina! In fact, he and Mack Brown are very, very similar. Both are all-time great recruiters. Butch Davis recruited the players for the 2000, 2001, and 2002 Miami teams that only lost 2 games. In addition, Carolina should be an easy sell for top talent. The campus is beautiful, the town is awesome, the stadium is gorgeous, and the other facilities are state-of-the-art. Amen?

But i think this was one of the best north carolina tar heels games so far and i was glad i was there baby i was on the third row. I remeber during the time out that the announcer said that any fans who rush onto the feild before the game is over or if it goes into overtime will be put in jail ad causee carolina a lost. Bizarro world that night. Wost Miami defense I've seen in years. A three game stretch where The U was weak at linebacker and gave up 100 points in three straight games (38 to Louisville, 31 to NC State and 31 to UNC). Petrino's UL bunch exposed Miami's weakness at LB and both NC State and UNC did the same. Amazingly, Miami only scored 28 against UNC after putting up 41 and 45 against UL and NCST back-to-back.
