  • lets see you do that on some early 60s detroit iron.

  • @JoshHeathMacElvain I work on a lot of vehicles. Probably the earliest vehicle I've worked on so far was a 65 Mustang while I was in Texas. I recently worked on a 94 Ford Bronco hood. The metal was about the same thickness as the Mustang was. The dents came out with just a little more effort than they would if the metal was thinner.

  • gravey i wish i coulda worked on some damage like that this year lol

  • @nbkjason The past 2 hail storms in San Antonio have been small. 2005 was the last storm that I recall where we got hail larger than a golf ball. I just got finished with a Toyota Supra last week that had about 300 dents and all were smaller than dimes. Dallas and Austin got some really large hail a year or so ago.

  • Nice job Dave. Kinda slow though. I also do PDR repair out of Nebraska. Need more hail!!!

  • @duder888 Yeah, I know it's slow. I wanted to take my time and drag out the video a little. Thanks for checking my video out. Hope business is good in Nebraska for you my friend. I recently relocated back to NC.

  • I wasn't knocking the finished product, the repair looks good. Where are you located Dave?

  • @dentjedi No worries buddy. I know what you mean. :) I'm in San Antonio, Texas

  • 23 pushes before he got anywhere near the center of the first dent. he was wearing that left side out.

  • @dentjedi. LOL. Yeah I was wearing the mess out of that left side. I really need to record a few new vids of some larger dent repairs. This was my first demo vid so I was just taking it slow and easy on the repair.

  • @DentlessDave lock your camera's focus, next time. Just a tip.

  • @sasoritaiga Yeah, thanks for the tip. :)

  • Looks a nice repair, I like using lines too.

  • i had my car done, bloody amazing...make sure all the inside plastic bits are put back correctly though...the bill was $7500...maybe i should do this for a living...

  • @TaxiRabbit Perhaps I should raise my prices then LOL. I did a Hail Damaged car the other day and only charged 1/3 of that price. His vehicle had a lot of dime sized dents. We use a hail matrix to price any hail repairs. Pricing is based off of quantity and size.

  • Yeah, Mike. The headliner should be dropped to gain access to roof dents.

  • do you have to remove the roof panels/ lining if they're roof dents?

  • Gotta love them line boards!

  • How would you do it to a part you couldn't get behind?

  • @scoobyj07 We can usually get behind any panel. We can take off an interior panel or gain access through a window opening if the dent is in a door. If there is still no access, we can generally use a glue puller and a slide hammer to work the dent out.

  • lol,,try a big one

  • @wizalan Take a look at my other vid. There's a nice 17 inch long dent to check out. ;)

  • get the sanding block out;)

  • @dented81 I'd suggest you take another look. That's a text book repair on a small hail dent. If you're having to break out the sanding block after you fix a dent, you're probably not starting and finishing it correctly. You could also be using too sharp of a tool with too much force behind your pushes. Thanks for looking though.

  • Nice work but what's the song?

  • Lines don't lie!! Looks great from my computer!
