  • Excellent thoughts...

  • I could not agree more with this video! thumbed up =)

  • Sounds like you should be an archivist. :)

  • I know what you mean xD sometimes i prefer reading second hand books, because you know someone has read it before you, and your kinda sharing the story.. or something.. yeah, awesome channel btw ;)

  • I love looking at old hardbacks, with their creased spines and I also smell every book I buy(weird, right?) The mysterious feel of your video is awesome!!

  • @dcpoxy07 Thanks!! And that's not weird at all! I love the smell of books ^_^

  • I like these thoughts^w^

  • @bluedrgnMethy Thanks =)

  • @mintybone I subscribed =)

  • Gratia Tibi Ago Puella

I am an antiquarian collector and since about age 14 I have felt exactly as you do

  • @pilgrimm23 That's great! I hope to become a real antiquarian collector someday, but right now I don't have the money haha!

  • Great video!! :) I feel exactly the same way about (old) books & libraries! I've also been wondering why I love books so much,& why I can just spend hours looking at pictures of them (btw., cool 2find someone else who likes 2browse through google & tumblr looking 4pics of books & librabries ;) ).I think part of the reason why is that I love history,& an old book makes me think of the person who wrote the book, imagine what life he lived, the people who held the book in their hands before me etc.

  • @theeyeoftheduck Hmm... maybe! =)

  • Great Video!

I love antique books-especially books that have notes written in them. They are a glimpse into the past.

I would love to see your thoughts on censership and banning books. Have read the article from The Wall Street Journal about YA Lit. being "too dark?"

  • @XXBooksAlive22XX Thanks!

Lol awesome, I'm actually working on a video about used books with notes in them at the moment XP

No I haven't seen the article, and I don't know if I could provide and educated enough opinion if I didn't read it. But I am interested in commenting on the subject, it's so controversial though in a way...

  • I love old libraries and antique books! I like looking on Ebay for old books- even if they aren't in English, lol. If you are ever in England, you should go to Charring Cross Road. That area has a ton of old shops that sell antique books dating all the way back to the 18th century :D

  • @Harasezza Oh awesome! Yay someone who shares the love of such things =D

    That sounds really cool!

I wish I could buy a million old books, but most of them go for hundreds or thousands of dollars...

  • Have you ever read So You Want to Be a Wizard? The feeling you describe reminds me of it in some ways. Some day I will live in a house with a wood paneled study filled with bookcases, one of which will be a secret door. Where there's a will, there's a way, right? XD

  • @mysss29 No I haven't but I'll check it out! And that sounds like a wonderful dream, I also dream of having a huge library in my home some day =)

  • @TheLibraryOfSarah sounds to me like you are headed for a magical journey

  • Sorry, my last comment was too long, here is the rest: tour inside! You would love it, I went there on vacation once it was awesome! :)

  • Sarah, if you're ever in Ottawa, Canada you should go to the Parliament buildings. They gave a very old library there it looks absolutely beautiful, like very old Renaissance European! When the Parliament buildings burned down a long time ago, the library was the only thing that didn't because someone closed it's iron gates so it is older than the rest of the parliament buildings and so pretty. But the only people that actually have access to the library are the government officials but you can

  • @ReadingRhinoPress That sounds beautiful! Thanks =) I'll have to look up pictures of it

  • @ReadingRhinoPress I know what you mean! I remember being there and standing in front of Queen Victoria's enormous statue there, I felt as though I was in some absurd magical paradise or something!

  • Hi Sarah, just found you through Justin's spotlight video. We know how you feel and you can't describe it, but many of us understand it. While I do love my eReader (I think it is a matter of finding the right one), I also love physical books. You are much more articulate than I, but I hope you can check out some of my videos sometime. Great video!

  • @bumblesby Thanks a lot! =)

  • Really liked this video. :)

  • @Justin941CUFan Thanks a lot =)
