this guy is just a freuqen idot for being an idot thats all he is doing is going back and fourth and holding his brakewhile he romps on the gas yey thats smart
@BigCatskillu Haha yeah it got real deep after we kept running through it weekend after weekend, then people started getting stuck. I had to dig out the ruts with my front end loader lol
@4x4maniac89 wat happened? and i gota question, my ex gfs truck is a 96 silverado w the 305 my moms bf has 98 silverado w the 350 but hes lucky to get 10 to a gallon but she gets like amazing gas mileage. if yers has the 5.3l vortec how u get better mileage than my moms bf's 98 w the 350?
@4x4maniac89 I wanted to level my 2000,and some people say if you crank the torsion bars up front its the same thing?is that true, and does it mess up your ride quality? And was that the 40 series??
@EJthecountryboyGRAY Yeah its the same thing. Its called a torsion key kit or a leveling kit I believe. I think it was a 40 series, it was a buddies truck so I don't know the exact details on it but if I remember what he told me it was a 40 series Delta Flow.
Not if you plan on using them in the mud. I had a set of BFG A/Ts on my 91 z71 and they would become a slick as soon as they hit mud. But they were nice in the grass and loose dirt. But now on my 2001 z71 i bought the Pepboy's cheap Definity Dakota A/T and it works great in the mud, sand, highway whatever. And they have a 40000 mi warranty and are buy 3 get one free. Can't beat that.
@4x4maniac89 cooper s/t, toyo open country, bfg commercial trac, i LOVE my (cordovan) WILD TRAC RADIAL LTR's cheap, 265/75/16, aggressive, TOUGH and hold up AMAZING way better than any BFG or COOPER, almost as good as the toyo A/T
@gitrdone8383 like 4x4maniac89 said, the BFG all terrains are a great tire, the only problem i've seen with them is they cake up and end up like a slick. Another one i like is the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrak or the Wrangler Territory. They're a little cheaper too.
really?!? i love those tires i have gone farther and easier wit h those tires then the mtz and and bfg a/t i had they are not a creaping tire you got to spin them to got to get stuck but other then that i love them and they are load E so i get even better tread life
@4x4maniac89 i have these tires now and i love them i have gone farther on these then mtz and bfg a/t i had before this but i also am running an 305/70/16 in the nittos i has 285/75/16 in the mtz's and an 295/75/16 in the bfg's and the nittos have done the best for me so far
@4x4maniac89 true, i would love for my truck to have posi trac, that corporate gm 14 bolt full float rear holds up like a champ! in my 93 cheyenne, 6.5 td, 5 speed, straight pipe, 265/75/16 Wild Trac Radial Ltr's... but god my dads 02 suburban 3/4t, 6.0 v8, BALD chparral a/t's would go just as far as my friends 93 1500 would in 4x4 with 33" bfg's... bfg's SUCK ASS in the mud, they cake up within 3 seconds of mud lol.
just throwing this out there but if u go to summit the older 5.3's it says is a 325 n the newer 5.3's are 323's...so dont know whats the difference but they both have the same bore n stroke
@jackrabbit5kxc hey i dont mean to pick on you. but the 5.3L are actually 325's. I didnt know this until I went to order parts for it and sure enough, look them up on advanced auto parts, oreillys or any other place and they are 325's
@86ChevyK20 I know. People do not realize that this is not the old racing 327 motor. it is a 325. and the 5.4 is a 330. Just like the chevy 350 is the 5.7
NO its a 330 CI motor. the 5.3 is a 327. and just to clear up any other doubts, the ford 351 is a 5.8, 460 is a 7.5, a 302 is a 5.0, chevy engines are 305 is a 5.0, the 5.3 is a 327, 350 is a 5.7, 383 is a 6.2, 454 is 7.4, 572 is 9.3L. dodge engines: 286 is 4.7L, 318 is 5.2, 340 is 5.6, 345 is 5.7, 360 is 5.9, 383 is a 6.3L, 400 is a 6.6L, 413 is a 6.7, 426 is 7.0, 440 is 7.2, 488 is 8.0, 505 is 8.3, and 515 is a 8.4

Nah it don't suck. It's better than a suburban cuz you can actually go in the woods with it. A sub ain't good at all in the woods cuz they're so daggum long! And yeah the tires suck cuz they're all terrains
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
your silverado sucks i tried that with my 2003 chevy suburban and its better than a silverado my suburban is big that one is low to the ground at least i dont get stuck in the mud my tires just rolls then it comes out of the mud your tires take 4ever if you have a suburban if i were you i would use a suburban
I'm pretty sure he is gonna get some 285/75R16's next time he gets tires, and probably either those new Goodyear Wrangler Mt/Rs with kevlar or something else much more agressive
i love chevys keep doing wat ur doing and maby lifted iit a few inches so you deeper and some boggers i have a f 150 with 10 inch suspension lift and 43 inch tsl boggers
ya i hardly ever need 4 hi in the mud with my 01 z71 silverado, a tire starts to slip a lil and suddenly both tires are driving =] its amazing CHEVY POWER
that looks like a lot of fun! I use to do that in my AWD Astro up here in Alaska.
dose that have an auto Locking differential in the rear or is it just slipping side to side? I'm trying to decide between an 02 Silverado 1500 or 03-04 diesel F-250 this fall.
sweet! yea its a lotta fun and dang doin this in an astro van would be awesome! this has just an open diff in the rear. whichever you decide to get take it in the mud!
hell ya, when I get the truck this fall I'll see about finding some mud and try to get some videos up for you. also upload some of me shooting my AR-15 after I get it sighted in.
is this one a 4.8L or a 5.3L? I got to drive an 06 with a 4.8 but thought it could use a little more up at highway speeds... any thoughts on the size thats best for this truck?
sweet. shootin stuff is awesome fun too! and AR-15's are awesome! this truck has the 5.3, and as far as the best size.. well thats all up to the person driving, if ya want more get up and go definitely the 5.3, but if you want gas mileage the 4.8 probably gets a little bit better though I'm not sure on that one
actually i have an 05 Sierra shortwide 4wd with the 5.3 with the 3.42 rear end and i am getting 22 mpg running 75 down the highway. i have noticed that the newer 5.3s get better fuel economy than the 4.8s too.
well, it all depends what you want to use it for, if you plan on much off roading then get the shortest wheelbase you can. if you plan on doing towing then probably a longer wheelbase and definitely at least the 5.3 v8
does the 4.8 still have plenty of pickup, b/c i drive a 2000 chevy extended cab with a 5.3,and it is hella fast-but im hopin to get one similar to that with Z71 b/c it's easier to manuevr and like you said the shorter wheelbase is better for off-roadin-also, what is the mpg? and how good is it in the mud
hmm.. im not real sure about the 4.8. never driven one with that engine. this is my friends truck so im also not real sure of the gas mileage but i would guess this particular truck gets probably 15 mpg or so. in the mud.. well thats really dependant on what kinda tires you have. if its just like this kinda mud then ats will be fine, but if it gets much more serious then you will definitely want mts
In the mud you're getting about 2 mpg concidering there is a lot of gas being used and not a whole lot of actual driving. And its not about what kind of tires but what size of tires. And sorry not trying to be a total asshole but damn....
Nice Video guys!!!!!! And nice truck. It don't have mudders on it but still a nice truck. I'm lookin for a 2000 Chevy Silverado i500 to trade my Jeep for. I'm gonna put a 6inch lift and 35inch tires on the truck that I trade my Jeep for. Check out my Jeep on my profile.
Weenie trucks, weenie mud holes. And advertising "A chevy silverado with "flowmaster" muddin in the mudhole." just shows how much yall know about muddin. What does flowmaster exhaust have to do with muddin? "Chevy with Super Swampers" or "Chevy with 6' lift" is repspectable, but flowmasters? gimme a break.
Its just a name. Does it really matter? What matters is that its a cool video, and that it was fun to do, so if you cant enjoy the video and you gotta rag on the name, find somethin else to do. And dont judge us by this video, as this was when we were first messin around in the mud, I know this isnt a huge mudhole but it was fun so who cares?
Yall should have seen that truck pull out two fords! It was pretty funny. I should know because i was driving it. You should know who i am now 4x4 maniac!

ya i hardly ever need 4 hi in the mud with my 01 z71 silverado, a tire starts to slip a lil and suddenly both tires are driving =] its amazing CHEVY POWER
BadassBowtie101 2 years ago 5

4x4maniac89 2 years ago

jesuscrew4u 2 years ago

XxClemsonTigersXx 2 years ago 4
do it its a lotta fun
4x4maniac89 2 years ago
how big are those tires?
4986hunterofsouth 2 years ago
theyre 265/75R16s so I believe that ends up being ever so slightly bigger than 31X10.50s
4x4maniac89 2 years ago
that looks like a lot of fun! I use to do that in my AWD Astro up here in Alaska.
dose that have an auto Locking differential in the rear or is it just slipping side to side? I'm trying to decide between an 02 Silverado 1500 or 03-04 diesel F-250 this fall.
aodhanof90 2 years ago
sweet! yea its a lotta fun and dang doin this in an astro van would be awesome! this has just an open diff in the rear. whichever you decide to get take it in the mud!
4x4maniac89 2 years ago
hell ya, when I get the truck this fall I'll see about finding some mud and try to get some videos up for you. also upload some of me shooting my AR-15 after I get it sighted in.
is this one a 4.8L or a 5.3L? I got to drive an 06 with a 4.8 but thought it could use a little more up at highway speeds... any thoughts on the size thats best for this truck?
aodhanof90 2 years ago
sweet. shootin stuff is awesome fun too! and AR-15's are awesome! this truck has the 5.3, and as far as the best size.. well thats all up to the person driving, if ya want more get up and go definitely the 5.3, but if you want gas mileage the 4.8 probably gets a little bit better though I'm not sure on that one
4x4maniac89 2 years ago
actually i have an 05 Sierra shortwide 4wd with the 5.3 with the 3.42 rear end and i am getting 22 mpg running 75 down the highway. i have noticed that the newer 5.3s get better fuel economy than the 4.8s too.

weakest mud i ever seen
ProudAmerican08 2 years ago
im hoping to get a truck very very similar to that soon, any advice on it?
XxClemsonTigersXx 2 years ago
well, it all depends what you want to use it for, if you plan on much off roading then get the shortest wheelbase you can. if you plan on doing towing then probably a longer wheelbase and definitely at least the 5.3 v8
4x4maniac89 2 years ago
does the 4.8 still have plenty of pickup, b/c i drive a 2000 chevy extended cab with a 5.3,and it is hella fast-but im hopin to get one similar to that with Z71 b/c it's easier to manuevr and like you said the shorter wheelbase is better for off-roadin-also, what is the mpg? and how good is it in the mud
XxClemsonTigersXx 2 years ago
hmm.. im not real sure about the 4.8. never driven one with that engine. this is my friends truck so im also not real sure of the gas mileage but i would guess this particular truck gets probably 15 mpg or so. in the mud.. well thats really dependant on what kinda tires you have. if its just like this kinda mud then ats will be fine, but if it gets much more serious then you will definitely want mts
4x4maniac89 2 years ago
In the mud you're getting about 2 mpg concidering there is a lot of gas being used and not a whole lot of actual driving. And its not about what kind of tires but what size of tires. And sorry not trying to be a total asshole but damn....
Damncandycanes 2 years ago
my uncle had a single cab with the 4.8 and it had plenty of power
brad11344 2 years ago
imma have to test drive the 4,8 and see if it still has the get up and go of the 5.3
XxClemsonTigersXx 2 years ago
This truck has the 5.3 v8 with 32in Nitto all-terrains and a single flowmaster super 40 with dual tips....that oughta answer any questions.
imsucharedneck 2 years ago
does your chev have the 5.3 or the 4.8? i have the same truck. :D

And another thing, I dont know what this JOTransport is talkin about but ya'll almost 54,000 views. That says something, right?
ncog93 2 years ago
Nice Video guys!!!!!! And nice truck. It don't have mudders on it but still a nice truck. I'm lookin for a 2000 Chevy Silverado i500 to trade my Jeep for. I'm gonna put a 6inch lift and 35inch tires on the truck that I trade my Jeep for. Check out my Jeep on my profile.
ncog93 2 years ago
Weenie trucks, weenie mud holes. And advertising "A chevy silverado with "flowmaster" muddin in the mudhole." just shows how much yall know about muddin. What does flowmaster exhaust have to do with muddin? "Chevy with Super Swampers" or "Chevy with 6' lift" is repspectable, but flowmasters? gimme a break.
JOTransport 2 years ago
Its just a name. Does it really matter? What matters is that its a cool video, and that it was fun to do, so if you cant enjoy the video and you gotta rag on the name, find somethin else to do. And dont judge us by this video, as this was when we were first messin around in the mud, I know this isnt a huge mudhole but it was fun so who cares?
4x4maniac89 2 years ago
That is such a big mudhole, wow.
