  • Your film is awesome sauce. O_O

  • this is not only my favorite indie film of all time but it sits on my top 5 movies of all time.everything about it, the dark humor, the style, the story its all right up my ally, i simply loved this movie, i've watched it 4 times no since ive seen it. ive shown it to friends of mine who also liked it, i do my best to get it out to other people. when i run into anything i like that isnt well known i do my part to get it out to the world, and this movie really needs to be seen.

  • So a Halloween night, I think it was, I logged onto Netflix and decided to watch this film called "Lo". Little did I know that it would be one of the most beautiful films I have ever watched and one of my all time favourites. I'm letting all of my friends now about it. I love it so much. It's my perfect movie. Thanks for making it!

  • Just so you know: this movie ROCKED. Very glad that I found it (yay for netflix suggestions!).

  • Hey what was the music you guys used (besides Demon Girl)? I'm inclined to think that you made the music but I remember hearing one of your songs elsewhere (the one with the violin), who is it by? Or does anyone else know?

  • This movie Lo is one of the best movies that I've seen in a very long time. Proof that you don't need expensive fluff but just a good plot, script and cast. I'm going to look for more of your work.

  • I LOVED this movie lol I can't be to specific because I would be writing all day.

  • i love it..watching it right now... good shit, man.

  • Just watched the movie on Netflix and loved it! Make some more!

  • This shit is downright inspirational. I need to own Lo (and subsequently rip it off in my own films).

    Hooray for white balance!

  • Saw the film on netflix...I really liked it! The plot as well done and I didn't expect the ending. Very nice :)

  • yes...y wa'n see this movie....right now i'm seartching for it

  • OH-kay I need to see this movie

  • Hi Travis, That book is one cocky lil' bastard and gives me the creeps! Anyhoot, That Robert Redford made the biggest mistake in his life for not picking your movie for his festival! Anyhoot, My Betz are on this movie making it! Pops

  • Wow! I'm a first timer and this rocks! I love it. Endless stars! :)

  • so im enjoying this so far haha :) it looks kind of cute infact, which seems strange for a demon movie :) ! do you always wear your slippers to movie meetings (it gives me hope in life hehe)

  • Ha! I'm the Hugh Hefner of filmmaking!

  • Wow, Travis! Amazing! Count me in! Those demons have style...a little short on the makeup, but style nonetheless! LOL! Jack

  • What da fuck is dis bitch talkin bout?

  • Stuff.

  • Can I help you find the elusive g-spot?

  • Umm...sure!

  • Thanks!

  • So are you going to have an angel named "Hi" as Lo's nemesis? :) Hehe had to throw that in there. Anyways from what little bits I've seen it looks pretty good to me. I like the make up job on Lo, so kudos there for whomever is responsible.

  • Thanks! My make-up artist is Tom Devlin. He rocks!

  • Well you let him know he rocks. I'm no ex-spurt or anything (Umm actually I am but I don't think testicular tube swimming counts)but far as make up artists go I'd say he's a keeper. :)

  • Unique approach! All the best, Travis!

  • Thanks!

  • i cannot wait for this movie!!!

  • Wow. What a freaking find. If the vlog about the movie is this entertaining, you can count me in for the movie. I loved that table meeting ahahah. Teaser looks great too--demon make-up is fantastic.

If you get a chance, please check out our featured video, EPISODE 7 of WHATZ GOOD STUDIOS and tell us what you think. If you like Office-esque awkward silences, seeing people consume obscene amounts of food, and want to see someone rapping while being tied up, you'll love this!

  • Dude I can relate.

  • From this clip alone, its obvious "Lo" is much more buzz worthy than the run of the mill studio drivel. We are going to will this film into its deserved distribution and spotlight! When i am declared Emperor Extraordinaire , your brilliant undertakings will never want for distribution or audience. :-) Your loyal Puppet Patron...

  • this video sucks i hate demons go to God the only saver that there is not the studpid satan!!

  • But demons are so cute!

  • no u want to go to hell? i know i don't!!

  • Is this a Frankenfurter type of movie? lol. I'm send you some info on a film festival. Give me a mo.

  • Sure...only much less dog.

  • My make-up effects artist, Tom Devlin, is amazing. The film set out to be unique, so we wanted the demons to be as well. Thanks for the support!

  • You are so talented.

  • Many thanks! Hope you'll keep watching!

  • I love toe socks! Good luck with your film! Thanks for entering!

    - Lisa

  • Thanks for putting the contest together. Hope my channel is lucky enough to receive some extra attention.

  • I saw Ward holding a knife to his diseased hand and got the feeling he was preparing to chop it off and replace it with a chain saw. Good luck!

  • Looks good! I'll tell people about it!

  • Thank you very much!

  • being a film maker is a hard thing to do... I understand so support you have my friend. As long as your entire movie doesn't include paper props...

  • Not a single paper prop in it...although I had always toyed with a construction paper feature.

  • I support this! I very much plan on buying Sunday...

  • Awesome-tastic!

  • Thanks for the "LO" down!!!

I can't wait to go on the journey.

    Reggie

    I did subscribe!!!

  • You rock, Reggie! Now let's get this movie out there!

  • *blush

  • have you concidered submitting to a sales rep, such as Shoreline Entertainment?

  • Yes. We are currently discussing sales reps and other fun stuff. Many thanks for the tip!

  • I will need it!

  • I'm a big fan of Joshua

Best of luck with this one.

  • So glad to hear that! While this one is no where near as dark as joshua, I think you will enjoy the hell out of it.

  • That's cause it is!

  • One tip - Have you seen "What not to wear?" You might want to take tips - dress for the job you want - in your case artsy and intelligent. Which you clearly are but looking at you one would say - college slacker (tie and old ragged t-shirt/slippers doesn't scream credible good movie maker. It says homemade video thrown together between naps.) Just an idea.

  • You're lame.

  • I find that one of the main perks of being an independent filmmaker is that you get to represent yourself as...well...yourself. The tip is much appreciated, but I'm gonna stick to just being me and let my film speak for itself. Hope you'll still watch!

  • Many thanks on the tip...although the Patagonian Fest focuses environmental issues. Not sure it's the right fit for a demon love story.

  • yay! i was wondering what happened to The Secretary ^_^

  • I'm lucky enough to have seen this film already and it was awesome! Nice one Travis!!!

  • Good Luck !!

  • looks awesome! ^_^

  • I hear that the Patagonian Film Festival is taking submissions. Call the greater Patagonia Public Library and leave a message for Buzz.

  • love the website if you can i would love to have it on dvd

ill pay looks good top effects and make up

  • It's not available on DVD at the moment, but that's the point of this channel, to get it out there! So if all goes as planned you will have a kick ass copy one day soon!

  • wooow its so cool !!! keep it on !

  • Oh, I will!

  • good to hear it !! ^_^ haha

  • omg that lord of the rings monster is seriously realistic..

  • Glad you like it. Our make-up effects artist, TOm Devlin, is awesome!

  • yeah it was very cool!

  • Awesome. Subbed, faved, rated, featured, shared and generally pimped out like mutha fucker.

  • Yes you did. LOL!

  • Man Joe, you rock all the way to that place that doesn't allow rocking...and then you rock there and they change all the laws. You're kind of like Footloose.

  • You've got my support.

You've probably already read this, but in case you haven't read Christine Vachon's "Shooting to Kill." It has some invaluable stuff in there about promoting independent film. Best of luck to you...along with Ian Sklarsky you're the best indie filmmaker I know.

  • Awesome, Rob! Many thanks to you and your support. Thanks for the book suggestion. I will surely look into it. Rock!

  • support support!!!

  • the prospect of this excites me in ways that i've never experienced

  • "The Big Book of Demon Jokes"

    By Puppy

  • "Necronomicomedy"

    >:^)

  • Brilliant new genre.

  • Yes! Yes! MORE NOW!

  • NO! More next week.

  • Excellent!!!

Too bad there wasn't a website for independent film makers to show their films for Studios to view a film and distribute if they chose to.

    5 stars!

  • That would be one crowded website!

  • Don't worry mate. You're not the first to face the demons of Sundance. Another guy on youtube, Mdotstrange got his video accepted to Sundance but they completely ripped into it. He just released it on Youtube instead.

From what I can tell, independant film makers are better off on their own. I have no doubt your film will get a great response when it comes out and I wish you all the luck with it.

  • Thanks for that. Yes, the good thing is I am fully aware that Sundance is not the be-all-end-all of indie cinema. I plan to promote my film wherever I go and then one day I will meet the right people who are passionate about it and want to distribute it for the right reasons.

  • I'm placing all my Betz on you Travis. Lo will make it.

  • Dude, that is so awesome about your cousin! Thanks again for all you support.

  • Thank you and you're welcome.

    ;-{)

  • why it got to be a white balance and not a black balance?

I am just kidding I love you Travis! I am praying you get what you need and want!

  • You rock! And thank you.

  • Aww, Sundance. They don't know what they're missing out on. :3

I love your movies, Travis. :D

  • Means a lot...thank you so much for the support!

  • I'm subscribed to all your channels. I so can't wait to see with what you come up with next. Support is no problem at all!

  • *blush

  • Well...okay. I'll subscribe. As long as it's fun for me and agonizing for you. ;)

    P.S. Can't wait!! Looks very interesting. :D

  • It's gonna be a long year...thanks!

  • wouldnt down 180 degrees be up?

  • I wanna say that it refers to the temperature.

  • Much more to come.

  • Gaffey time! More Gaffey!

  • subscribed. great concept, and im always happy to support independent films. good luck to you mate!! ill keep on watching..

  • Thank you so much! The support means everything. I hope I can entertain you until this film is available.

  • Hey! The film looks very interesting and I hope that I will be able to see it someday. The costumes also look awesome, great job with deomon lo's appearance! I wish you the greatest luck that you get into the festival and will make shoutouts to your channel to bring you more support! I'm looking forward to your weekly blogs.

  • BulletteKitty = awesometastic!

  • I need a white balance for my camera too. hahha!

  • Indie film is one of my passions; I would say that I feel your pain, but I'm still young enough that all of my film endeavors have had a budget of less than 100 bucks, and (except for the really short ones) never came to completion. All I can really say to you is: Keep the faith (whatever that happens to mean in your world); the mainstream film industry is putting out COMPLETE garbage on 9 figure budgets while people who care about making real films can't even get into Sundance. We need artists!

  • Thank you kindly for the words of encouragement. It's not easy making movies from your heart. I'm gonna use next year and really work my butt off to get this film recognized, a I am very proud of it. Making movies for $100 is awesome and fun! I encourage you to finish one. Your support is great!

  • I scoff a bit inside at the idea of giving advice to someone much further along in the process of being a 'real' filmmaker than myself, but have you tried Troma? I know their films aren't exactly known for being avant garde, shall we say, but, from what I've read, they're all about giving newcomers a shot (they distributed the South Park creators' first film 'Alfred Packer, the musical' later renamed 'Cannibal, the musical'). A straight to DVD B movie company isn't glam, but it IS distribution.

  • I'm a Troma fan and I own Cannibal the Musical! The thing about Troma is you make no money. They take your film and keep the rights. Sure they distribute it but you make nothing in return. I've been down that road with other films. I want a better deal for myself this time. And please, experience or not...advice is welcome from all angles.

  • Thanks for the insight on Troma; I'll keep that in mind the next time I have a movie I don't want to make money on, lol. I suppose it's that old addage that things which appear too good to be true...well, you know. I have my copy of 'Make Your Own Damn Movie' sitting by my religious texts and complete Shakespeare, so Troma popped into my head while I was looking something up, but you deserve to get some material return on something you've invested so many tangible and intangible resources in.

  • I have read that book. Great read!

  • Indeed it is! And, just as an aside, I am considered by most to be a 'film snob', so I suppose you should take this with a grain of salt, but I seldom bother to look at what is winning at Sundance these days because so many mainstream studios are opening 'indie' affilliates and submitting flicks to Sundance that I have dubbed 'halfbreeds'. That is, slightly more interesting than the normal hollywood crap, but done with big budgets, name actors, and big studios: Mainstream film in a thin disguise

  • haha how many YT channels do you need?

  • Apparently a lot. HEHE

  • i'm not gonna lie, the eye book read my mind, teehee.

    looks interesting!

  • Damn you and the booooook! Thanks!

  • That seems like a very hip Demon. Wow at least you were good enough to get a reply from them, im sure they will be wowed by your future submissions!!

  • Sundance is very hard to get into and also very political. On to the next festival!

  • Is that job at the DQ still available? One note, I can't work Tuesdays or every other Monday.

    ---

Just tell people that those are Sperry Top Siders newest shoe.

    ---

    Great creation you have there!

  • You'll have to ask my dad...he makes the schedule.

  • It looks really cool by the way, I would love to see it.

  • Thanks ed, your support rocks. I think you will really like it! When it's avail I will let you know. Tell your friends the demons are coming!

  • Hey, fuck sundance. Keep pushin and keep doing your thing. I have faith in you.

  • ...in...

  • I think you'll dig it, Doody...lots of people in masks!

  • The appearance of the beer on the third try was perfect. I look forward to hearing more from you!

    Danse Macabre, appropriate song.

  • You'll hear from me every week! and thank you so much for the support!

  • fucking sundance. poo on them.

  • Hard fest to get into...but there's so many more great ones!

  • Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

Wait. Your dad owns a DQ? I thought he was a judge... Or was that only a 2 hour deal?

  • I grew up on Blizzards my good man.

  • I want to see that movie!

  • Then support the HELL out of it! We're hoping to create enough buzz to get people attention. So hard to get Hollywood to notice good indie film.

  • Those Sundanceians will soon realize the foolishness of their ways...

    Cheers.

  • We WILL show them! Thanks for the support.

  • I'll stick it on my channel matey

  • You're the best Demon Iggy!
