Wait is it possible to play hard mode with all your weapons? Because after I beat the game,it would only let me play it again in normal mode. Also does anybody know if you unlock anything after completing the game on hard mode?
I think Dead Space 1 is superior. Mainly because it was original and "new". Dead Space 2 is more gory and looks better but a lot of it we'd seen before in DS1. Plus you don't know what you're dealing with in DS1 whereas DS2 you know all about Necromorphs, Unitology and the Marker. You expect freaky stuff in DS2!
If they make DS3 then i think they'll have to make big changes to stop it from being "samey"
@Darkreaper1982 As far as i know its going to be on icy planet so thats already something new. We can only hope. Tho i trust on visceral games to bring a perfect horror expirience as they have already done. I hope they introduce coop campaign with its own story alongside with the campaign. Multiplayer can be there if they bother to make one.

well at least Capcom's RE:Revelations is coming soon, it'll be a great Survival Horror game, probably better than RE 5 was, because they appear to have learned from the criticisms.

The 3DS has more power than it's counterpart the Wii does. Super Street Fighter 4 3DS actually has as good graphics as the PS3 version, and it has many more features and more streamlined online play...
If it could do that, It can do dead space... probably the full game or games. Capcom will proove it too with RE: Revelations.
@greenday4121 actually the NGP does have the same power that is the same to the PS3 but Unreal engine 5 will soon be realeased and will overpass the NGP. The NGP has an OLED screen while the ipod touch 4 has beautiful retina display.
Although it lacks any sublety in the horror department (to the point of being predictable), it still is the best FPS ever to grace the iPhone. Other FPS games have a wide variety in settings, whereas in Dead Space you only see the sprawl. This in-depth approach helps to underline the claustrophobic atmosphere.
I bought it because I hadn't played the game before. It's such a good game, probably the only iPhone game I have bothered to play and want to complete. Game looks really nice on 3GS but I seen it better on iPhone 4, the game has made me jump a few times and made me think what the fuck is going on a few times. I do though find it hard to grab things and throw them... part from that I love everything about the game.
Sadly this game seems to dislike the 3G version of the iPhone. The opening movie stutters every few seconds. I even restarted it, which cleared up a few stutters, but not all of them. I really need to upgrade to an iPhone 4.
@SoulMist17 Actually it is not as scary, because if you play on easy, you die almost never. Your hp also recover very fast, you have no ammo problems, and the most important point: you have unlimited stasis (unlike the PC version i think, but I'm not that sure), which you can use ca every 4 seconds. The necromorphs die if you cut off both arms (very easy with stasis) and the other enemies are also not as tough...
But it's a great game nevertheless and woth buying it.

@shmeefburger I can compare them quite easily; and yes I have finished Dead Space, on the hardest difficulty (albeit as a new game+). The reason Dead Space on iOS feels 'less' terrifying is simply because they use the exact same methods for scaring players. The reason Dead Space 2 trumps them both is because it goes in a different direction, focusing on the deterioration of Isaac instead of merely jumping at shadows.
@AppSpy I am amazed that you believe that Dead Space 2 has a higher horror factor than Dead Space 1.
Dead Space 1 was scary.
It was scary to move, and the environment always had a scary thing to it.
With all honesty, after having finished Dead Space 2 3 times at least, it was really less scary ,except for a few parts of a few levels, and more like a thrill ride.
The increased pacing and weapon variety made sure of that.
Dead Space on the iDevieces came close, but it's not absolutely on par.
I just played this. Shit is too scary for me. Shit leaping out the fucking walls and screaming, jumping out of shit. No way. But besides that, I just didn't feel comfortable playing it somehow. Like the controls and the types of weapons were just weird. I'm more comfortable with like NOVA controls and stuff. But something just was off about the controls feel. If you don't mind a scare and don't mind the controls, it's a fine game. Just not my type.
@snowmanMK1 is in the last room(where you fight the final boss) right next to the control panel......i just beat this on hard....I´m so proud of myself.

Great game. Currently I'm on level 9, but I'll probably be done with it by Friday. Shame it doesn't have more levels. Also, it would be fun to play as a necromorph, which I heard you can do online in ds2.

Awesome game without a doubt, even though it may feel short I have a good feeling they might make some updates to the game; I noticed in the Dead Space Store in-game a section where it said, "DLC", DownLoadableContent ; )
@Prophecy86x It's more like IAP (In-App Purchases) - they're so people can buy items or power-ups to help them through the game, though I think that sort of ruins the tension of having limited resources :) Still, there's a chance they might do something different!
@AppSpy lol, I'll keep that in mind.. Nah not really, I never bought ammo from the Dead Space Store, I always saved up for a new suit, however, it did leave me naked when I reached my first big boss; I was freezing and using the melee system because I had completely ran out of ammo. It's what happens when you progress through the game strongly believing that you know everything, until you read on a loading menu, "Finish enemies off with a stomp to get ammo." Overall its an intense game, 10/10.
Finally, another major title. Hey Andrew, I know this has been asked many times, but you should review other apps (if you have the time :D) and give weekly updates and news for iDevices so your channel will have a wider variety of content :P A friendly suggestion.

1- I have never seen controls on the iPhone/iPad game as good as this its VERY VERY smooth and works very well especially on the iPad (10/10)
2- The graphics are just as good as PS3 REALLY I'm serious its really awesome (10/10)

Dead Space 1 was scary.
It was scary to move, and the environment always had a scary thing to it.
With all honesty, after having finished Dead Space 2 3 times at least, it was really less scary ,except for a few parts of a few levels, and more like a thrill ride.
The increased pacing and weapon variety made sure of that.
Dead Space on the iDevieces came close, but it's not absolutely on par.

I just played this. Shit is too scary for me. Shit leaping out the fucking walls and screaming, jumping out of shit. No way. But besides that, I just didn't feel comfortable playing it somehow. Like the controls and the types of weapons were just weird. I'm more comfortable with like NOVA controls and stuff. But something just was off about the controls feel. If you don't mind a scare and don't mind the controls, it's a fine game. Just not my type.

Ratings aren't even necessary. The reviews he gives are informative, and he sort of DOES leave a review if you bother to actually listen to the guy. He usually says, the app is hard to recommend, or the app is great or something. What do you guys watch this video with the mute button on?!?! AND, to leave a rating isn't necessary because everybody has their own opinion. He may give 2 stars to an app that's 5 stars to you. His reviews make you make the final decision. So SHUT UP...

I hate EA for not releasing Dead Space in Germany. After Bad Company this is the second title I surely would have enjoyed playing. If this goes on, I´ll go back to jailbreaking and install a pirated version... :/

@elukok I already have an american account, but still it´s a joke that people have to buy gift carts on ebay just to get EA games. I don´t see the point in not releasing it. You can have it on XBox but not on your iPhone. This is just stupid.

Great Review Best graphics on the Itouch/Iphone ever. I jumped a few time when playing it and i never to that it's even better with head phones in.

Great game. Currently I'm on level 9, but I'll probably be done with it by Friday. Shame it doesn't have more levels. Also, it would be fun to play as a necromorph, which I heard you can do online in ds2.

@SmellyLama496 It should work on a 3rd gen iTouch; it's working on 2nd gen, so it shouldn't matter if you have an old or new 3rd gen :)

I dont know how do you manage to time up 1min and 30-40sec every time for every game, and tell AND show to the viewer everything that they need to know if they want to buy the app. Really great job. You are good writer also. Good luck and keep up the good work. Apple should give you a job to review all those apps

You talk about how short it is. How long did it take you to finish the game? I must say it looks amazing and much better in terms of art direction than anything Gameloft has coughed up.

@nicolasmarinus 'Feels' short, took me a good few hours to finish, though I was taking in the atmosphere and I didn't track the time I took on my hard mode progression - sort of my bad there D:

Awesome game without a doubt, even though it may feel short I have a good feeling they might make some updates to the game; I noticed in the Dead Space Store in-game a section where it said, "DLC", DownLoadableContent ; )

@Prophecy86x It's more like IAP (In-App Purchases) - they're so people can buy items or power-ups to help them through the game, though I think that sort of ruins the tension of having limited resources :) Still, there's a chance they might do something different!

@AppSpy lol, I'll keep that in mind.. Nah not really, I never bought ammo from the Dead Space Store, I always saved up for a new suit, however, it did leave me naked when I reached my first big boss; I was freezing and using the melee system because I had completely ran out of ammo. It's what happens when you progress through the game strongly believing that you know everything, until you read on a loading menu, "Finish enemies off with a stomp to get ammo." Overall its an intense game, 10/10.
