i'm a market manager for food lion and you should address your complaint to the distributors instead of food lion..such as holly farms! they provide the chicken halfway frozen and full of blood..the red meat is completely up to standards and so is pork..i suggest you get a new freezer or shop at burger kind if you want it your way...food stamps cannot provide you with the best meat possible!

I am afraid you may have gotten criticized by a room full of said pencil pushers, because there are only a few actual laborers and they were probably working when these comments were being made.
They were already busted on a 20/20-primtime live type show mixing the expired meat into the newer meat to salvage it. Diane Sawer hosted it. They were sued for taking a job under false pretenses to film undercover and won. However, they never sued for false allegations of mishandling of food cause they were too busted. Also,they would mix the old potato salad in with the new.
@louspintoo Thats only half the story. Food Lion was the only American grocery store at the time that wasnt a member of the Food and Commerical Workers Union. That is the only reason ABC was there to do a hit job on Food Lion.. F.C.W.U. sent THUGS(mobsters) to the store I worked at to cause trouble. I should know I worked in the meat dept at that time, and will testify that ABC lies. GREEDY UNION FUCKERS!! The union pres at the time said "if they wont join us were gonna bring them down".

However, this still doesn't explain why FL didn't sue on the grounds of false allegations, defamation of character and a million other things their lawyers would have dredged up if ABC was lying about the shady shit going down.
