@iXetsuei For the record, "genius", he's correct. Technically, the “downpipe” is a larger section of pipe which connects the headers or exhaust manifold to the cat. For most vehicles, the downpipe section is essentially incorporated with the cat section. However, on a vehicle equipped with a turbocharger, an after-market downpipe offers significant improvement in performance. I realize most of what you know you probably learned on The Fast and The Furious, but it's ok to be wrong.

@hbplaya i believe the headers are designed (aka stuck into that small gap) the same way my Acura TL's are, in that the only way to do some kind of "header swap" is to actually change out the downpipes coming from the headers rather than the headers themselves, at least that's how i interpret it because i've done a similar thing on my car.
