Hell is a condition, not a place of eternal torment. A careful study of the Bilble reveals that Hell=Grave. The grave being evidence of death. Once you are dead, body and soul, you will return to the dust, and never have conscious existance again.
The churches used the place of 'hell' as a bat to beat people over the head with. Join the church, and we will keep you out of hell. Sorry church, the jig is up!! Christ will save His Chosen Ones's, and there is NO place of eternal torture!
@WitnessoftheTruth So what about where Jesus describes eternal fire in Matthew 25:41 and Mark 9:48, or the description of the final judgment in Revelation 20:11-14?
@Chris, Jude 7, gives us the definition of 'eternal fire'. Are Sod & Gom still burning today? No! But the destruction was permanent. Those folks were gone forever. God's Judgment will be eternal, there is no coming back. But, there was a limit to physical punishment. God's Law, which also binds God, stated man could be beaten with 40 stripes, but NO more. Man cannot be beaten forever! (con't)
@Chr, Funny how folks demand a place of eternal torment, when they themselves, are subject to that very punishment. A lot of the confusion stems from the fact folks have no idea of what the ONLY Salvation plan of the Bible is. Most folks were NOT chosen unto Salvation. Most folks are non-elect. Would a merciful God, Create most of the human race, which He has no intention of saving, just to torture them forever? NO! Death is the end of the punishment.
@Chris, Death, body and soul, was the end for folks who die prior to May 21, 2011. The non-elect, who are alive on May 21, 2011, which will be over 6 billion people, will experience intense suffering for their sin, for up to five months. Whoever is still left on October 21, 2011, will be incinerated, when the Lord destroys this universe (II Peter 3). Annhilation, everlasting destruction, is the punishment of the non-elect, not physical torture.
@Fill, God's Law Book, the Holy Bible, binds every person who was ever born. There is no escape. Claiming you are an atheist, or a Jew, or some other religion, will not excuse you from the Judgment the Lord has planned for ALL mankind. Thinking you can excuse yourself, does not make it so. On May 21, 2011, the 7,000 anniversary of the Nochian Flood, the Lord will indeed return, as promised, to destroy ALL those He has not chosen to save.
@Fill, Only the spiritually dead, which is most of mankind (so don't feel bad), do not know the hour of the Lord's return. Yes, they hear May 21, 2011 being proclaimed in the market place (broadcast in 53 languages world wide), but because they are a spiritual corpse, they are unable to respond (Je 6:10). Pray for the Lord to give you ears to hear. Biblical Truth is offensive to most folks. The Bible proclaims man is powerless, and is 100% at the Lord's mercy.
@Fill, God's Word will NEVER be silenced!! Praise the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Isa 62:6 "I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence".
Ps 33:11 "The Counsel of the Lord standeth FOREVER".
"Ps 10:16 "The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of HIS land".
@Chris, ( con't) The Bbile also tells us that Judgment Day is May 21, 2011. Most of mankind will enter Judgment Day. The physical punishment will last for 153 days. Most will die before the 153 days are up. Thus ending their conscious punishment. It will be over for them. On Oct 21, 2011, the Lord will destroy this universe by fire ( II Peter 3). He will Create the 'new' Heaven, and 'new' earth. Without sin!!
@Chris, Biblical time line of history: 11,013 BC- Creation 4,990 BC- Nochian flood 1,447 BC- Exodus Oct 02, 0007 BC-Christ was born Apr 01, 0033-Cross May 22, 0033-Start of the Church Age May 21, 1988-End of the Church Age/Start of the 23 yr. Great Trib Sep 07, 1994-Start of the Latter Rain May 21, 2011-Rapture/Judgment Day (Judgment lasts for 153 days) Oct 21, 2011-End of the World. Mankind destroyed forever
@WitnessoftheTruth Funny, I missed the Bible verses which had those exact, specific dates. I guess when Jesus said that no man knows the day or hour, He really meant the exact opposite, that there are men who know the day or hour.
@Chris, " ...If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee". Rev 3:3
The Lord's Elect know the date of the Lord's return. For We are Watchman (Ez 33), and declare when the enemy of the world (Christ) approaches. Since when does the Bible hinge on one verse? Only a rookie makes that mistake. I declare the full counsel of the Lord, not just the parts I like.
When I hear a theory, I say PROVE IT! What is the proof that heaven or hell really exist? What is the proof that God really exists? All authority should be questioned.
There is no absolute physical proof for it. Not until Christ returns.
However, there are good reasons to believe the Bible.
What it says. Description of man's character. Fulfilled prophecy. Archeology. Logic, reason. The first cause. Testimony of nature. Testimony of the Holy Spirit. Testimony of your conscience. Testimony and martyrdom of the authors. Most importantly the testimony of Christ Himself.
Honestly if you really want to know, bow your knee and ask.
If Jesus Christ really existed, then there would be many more records of his "deeds" and "miracles" than just one rather questionable story. There were many other scholars at the time who would have been amazed at what Jesus could perform - if the Bible was actually true. Which it's not.
If God is omnipotent, why can't he just do away with all evil in the world? If God is all-knowing, that is, he knows what will happen in the future according to "God's plan," then what's the point of prayer? It sounds like whining in the end.
If God is truly good, then why does he send people into Hell for trivial mistakes? I don't see how an innocent lie told by a 5-year-old makes that child the same as someone who does deserve to be punished, like Hitler.
He can do away with evil in the world, and He will shortly. If He did right now, where would that leave you? He is currently waiting so that more people can be saved, then He will put away with all evil.
Prayer is an act of devotion. God asks us to pray because He gets glory for Himself in answering us. It's more of a provision for us than it is Him, it's a relational tool. It also strengthens our faith when we see Him answer.
God never condemns the innocent. He is a just judge.
I don't get why a "just judge" would give people infinite punishment for finite sins. If Hell is eternal, then people wouldn't be able to learn from their mistakes. For example, if my cat bit me, I'd scold him briefly but he'd learn not to do it again. I wouldn't throw him into an unceasing fire pit. That's called animal abuse. When it's done to humans it's called murder.
If he did away with evil right now, then the world would be a much happier place. It's so simple.
Your problem is that you have been hardened by sin so that you are unable to fully appreciate the heinous nature of the offense. You have sinned against an eternal and infinitely worthy holy God. The punishment is great because the crime is great.
God has warned us millions of times, every time you feel pain it is a warning that you are fallen and sinful and that you need to repent and turn to God for salvation.
I was born an atheist, am living as an atheist, and will die an atheist. God is impossible - how can a "perfect" god create an imperfect creation?
Either way, I really don't give a crap about your fear-based nonsensical ramblings. Seems this God punishes us for being the humans he created. Total B.S. on God's part.
Yes, men are born in sin ... however I hope that you do not persist in it unto your death. Remember that salvation has been freely offered to you if you would put your faith in Christ.
God created us perfect originally, though we disobeyed and sinned against Him. He can create whatever He wants to, however He wants to, and do with it whatever He wants to. He is God, we are not.
God punishes sinners who refuse to repent and be saved
You cannot reply against the Creator. He is still enthroned.
God presumably created people with free will, and since he was omnipotent he made the rule that only people with free will would be happy. If God also knows everything, then why didn't he know that Murphy's law applies to free will, so why couldn't he have just made the rule that only robots can feel happy, and then make humankind robots? That would get rid of his whole "they're not kissing my holy arse!" complex.
I'm replying against your "Creator" now, aren't I?
When you're squeezed and presented with the truth of who God is ... your heart pours forth before me. Now I can observe the scripture's fulfillment. You're in rebellion against God.
You need to be reconciled with Him through faith in Christ Jesus.
He is still enthroned, and you are still in danger of damnation.
Yes, you're in desperate need of salvation in Christ. Your inability to recognize this, or at least your outright denial is inhibiting you from coming to God.
This is why most people need to be crushed before they turn. Truly chastisement and suffering is most gracious. Peace and safety is a grievous judgment.
God knew what would happen, He planned it. He is sovereign. I could go on with why if you'd like? It will be fun to see your response.
You stated in an earlier text, that you were a Christian at 'one-time'. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that a person can a believer at some time and then become an unbeliever.
You can believe in God & Jesus Christ AND still end up in hell ! It depends on whether you have repented of your sins, showed remorse and contrition for your sins, and have trusted in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. If you have done so, and called on Him to save you and accept you in spite of all that you have done, you will experience the spiritual rebirth (born again, born from above) that Jesus said was necessary in John 3:1 to 7
Do you have any evidence other than what the bible says, or what your preist or preacher says? No you don't, I didn't say it was fact or I had proof of it. Its just a theory or idea that is every bit as valid as your belief so please I'm not knocking what you believe I'm not asking you for proof, I'm just stating my opinion. Arguing via youtube is a waste of time, if I ever meet you in person we can talk and share ideas about hell all night if you want but I won't do it over comments.much love.
I absolutely have evidence for the Bible. For example: The NT has over 5000 supporting Greek manuscripts existing today with another 20,000 manuscripts in other languages. Some of the manuscripts date to within 100 years of the original writing.
There are also several prophecies fulfilled in Jesus, such as the crucifixion being described in Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 700 years before the practice was invented, and scientific facts written thousands of years before their modern discovery.
Chris I'm really sorry if my beliefs upset you this much, but like I said I'm not debating religious philosophy via youtube comments, if you have AIM messenger my screen name is todd198620. I'll be more than happy to listen to, and share ideas with you if I'm online.
by manuscripts, you mean copies, and the fact that they are only found 100 years afterward at the earliest is not evidence for anything, and leaves us to wonder why noone bothered to write any of it down at the time. anyways, if you are assuming the bible is true, then you must also believe god demands that you ston your son to death for being rebellious. he demanded it in the old testament and jesus also demands it in the new testament. it's time you outgrew your imaginary friend. Science bless
Ah, but the evidence of those manuscripts proves that they are historically reliable and
And I don't stone my son to death because 1) I don't have a son, and 2) Romans 13 makes it clear we are to be subject to governing authorities, and the authorities here in America say that's a crime. But if I had a son, I would punish him for wrongdoing. I am still able to apply the principle; that "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft" (1 Samuel 15:23).
there is not even evidence of hebrews ever being slaves in egypt. the story of noah's ark is hilarious at best. you are saying that the laws of man are higher than the laws of god, so how can he be all-powerful? he wouldn't make arbitrary laws. he would only make laws that are important. to say that god makes a law but taht he also says it's okay not to follow it is ridiculous.
I'm just quoting to you what the Bible says. The point is still the same: God hates rebellion in children. It is detestable to Him.
Why? Because you and I have disobeyed Him countless times, and we deserve to be punished in hell b/c of that. But God has provided a way for us to be forgiven by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His sacrifice will pay for the penalty of the crimes which you have committed, if you humble yourself and surrender to Him as your Lord and Savior.
If you truly believe that I deserve eternal torture simply because I refuse to believe in god, regardless of how I live my life, then you are evil. I can live my life better than you live yours, and yet at the end none of it matters simply because I don't believe in something that has never shown itself to me, has never shown any evidence of its existence? what about people born in places where no one even knows what god is? what about native americans before columbus? do they all deserve hell?
Here's the thing: I deserve hell just as much as you do. We all deserve hell. It's not merely because of a lack of belief in God, but all the other myriad sins we've done in our lives; lying, stealing, and even our thought lives--just imagining sin is as bad as the sin itself. We all have a conscience, and are born with an understanding that these things are wrong, so no one can say on Judgment Day, "I didn't know my sin was wrong!"
If you believe that infinite punishment or infinite reward is fair consequence for temporary actions, you are morally inferior. and what about those who are born in other countries where they are taught that all christians are delusional, just as you are taught that everyone of other faiths are deluded? what if on judgement day you find out that islam is true? do you really think you deserve hell then? humans were around for 100000 years, and religion didn't start until sometime around 4000 bc.
I am not talking about sin. i am talking about belief in god. according to christianity, those who do not believe in the existence of god will go to hell. it doesn't matter whether they know what is right and wrong, the fact that they don't believe in god and the story of jesus then they will go to hell.
as for the humans being around for at least 100000 years, that is the accepted estimation for the emergence of the human species.if you dont believe in evolution plz don't try to argue about it
If you're so concerned about those people who haven't yet heard the gospel, why don't you get saved and then be a missionary to them?
Re: 100,000 years, do you have any **evidence** to back it up? Lots of commonly-accepted beliefs throughout history have been proven wrong, such as the sun's revolving around the earth, or that the slavery of Africans and Native Americans from the 1500s-1800s was acceptable.
plz tell me you are joking about the sun and slavery thing. the bible says the sun revolves around the earth, and also condones slavery in multiple instances, as well as blood sacrifices and incest. the slave owners used the bible to justify slavery. also, you are talking about beliefs before modern science and the scientific method. as far as evidence for humans being around 100000 years ago, we have fossil evidence to back that up. btw it has been proven humans evolved from primate ancestor.
Please state 1) where the Bible says that the sun revolves around the earth, and 2) how Hebrew slavery is similar to Amero-European slavery. In fact, they are worlds apart; God commanded the Jews to free their slaves every seven years, and that obviously never happened to slaves in the US or Europe.
You say it has been proven that humans have evolved from primate ancestors. What proof is there? Can you give an example of the fossil evidence?
1) sun moves:Joshua 10:12-13 Habakkuk 3:11 Psalms 19:4-6 1
earth is fixed: Chronicles 16:30 Psalms 93:1 96:10
earth sits on pillars: 1 Samuel 2:8 Job 9:6 Job 38:4-6
earth is flat b/c from a high enough point you can see everything on earth: Job 28:24 Isaiah 40:22 Daniel 4:10-11
2) forcing people to work for no pay is wrong no matter how long you do it for. it wasn't voluntary because the hebrews would war with a city and if they city surrendered they would take all the men and women as slaves
Come on, you've never used the phrase "sunrise" or "sunset", knowing full well that the sun doesn't rise or set per se?
Now, before I answer the rest of these, let me ask you something real quick: Are you serious about this, or are you just looking for excuses? If I answer these questions, will you bow your knee and admit that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior?
if you can explain all of the barbaric, contradictory, and flat out ridiculous stuff in the bible, AND provide proof of the bible's validity, not just gaps in scientific understanding, then yes i will. fyi i was once a christian and had to stop because i couldn't make any more excuses and still respect my own intelligence.
knew, as in past tense. WAS a christian, but i am not a christian anymore, and you still haven't acknowledged that there is overwhelming evidence that humans evolved from a primate ancestor. did you even watch the videos i gave you the urls to? seriously, you really should watch them. if you're as devout as you think, then they won't be able to shake your faith.
2 continued)actually, hebrew slaves were to be released every six years (Exodus 21:2-6) but regular slaves could be kept PERMANENTLY (Leviticus 25:44-46)
you can also beat your slaves to near death according to Exodus 21:20-21
slavery in New Testament: Ephesians 6:5 1 Timothy 6:1-2
God is loving because He has made a way for you to be saved from your sin by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. You must humble yourself, submit to Him as your Lord and Savior, and repent of your sin.
Well, as someone who trusts in science which is the based entirely on probability and evidence I would argue that there is no evidence that Christianity is right, logical or even likely due to the lack of ANY evidence that God exists. So I reverse the question, do YOU have any specific and verifiable evidence that Christianity is RIGHT?
See you and I are more alike than you think I agree insults and slurs don't do anything but cause bitterness and anger. (something I learned from Jesus)

BTW, I don't care much for the video, but the music at the beginning is simply AWESOME.

Descriptions either way don't really do very much.
The lost have no fear of God's wrath or hell.
They also have no love for God who is in heaven. So why would they want to go to heaven?
You'll get to be with God in heaven and worship Him, so that is what makes heaven so great.
Also, I'm sure you can find some great books or descriptions regarding heaven here on youtube and elsewhere.
Repent and believe in Christ for salvation, cry out to Him.

MarowakDidIt 2 years ago
Yes, you're in desperate need of salvation in Christ. Your inability to recognize this, or at least your outright denial is inhibiting you from coming to God.
This is why most people need to be crushed before they turn. Truly chastisement and suffering is most gracious. Peace and safety is a grievous judgment.
God knew what would happen, He planned it. He is sovereign. I could go on with why if you'd like? It will be fun to see your response.
I may be delusional, but I'm not confused.

Totally wrong. It`s a warning sign something is wrong with your body. Nothing else.

To kriztufer2001:
You stated in an earlier text, that you were a Christian at 'one-time'. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that a person can a believer at some time and then become an unbeliever.
See 1 John 2:19
briguy947 3 years ago
To kriztufer2001 :
You can believe in God & Jesus Christ AND still end up in hell ! It depends on whether you have repented of your sins, showed remorse and contrition for your sins, and have trusted in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. If you have done so, and called on Him to save you and accept you in spite of all that you have done, you will experience the spiritual rebirth (born again, born from above) that Jesus said was necessary in John 3:1 to 7
I hope to see you in Heaven
briguy947 3 years ago
Hell is in youre mind. We create our own hell, you might even say we are in hell right now. Just my opinion tho.
walrusgh 3 years ago
Do you have any evidence to back up that belief?
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
Do you have any evidence other than what the bible says, or what your preist or preacher says? No you don't, I didn't say it was fact or I had proof of it. Its just a theory or idea that is every bit as valid as your belief so please I'm not knocking what you believe I'm not asking you for proof, I'm just stating my opinion. Arguing via youtube is a waste of time, if I ever meet you in person we can talk and share ideas about hell all night if you want but I won't do it over comments.much love.
walrusgh 3 years ago
I absolutely have evidence for the Bible. For example: The NT has over 5000 supporting Greek manuscripts existing today with another 20,000 manuscripts in other languages. Some of the manuscripts date to within 100 years of the original writing.
There are also several prophecies fulfilled in Jesus, such as the crucifixion being described in Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 700 years before the practice was invented, and scientific facts written thousands of years before their modern discovery.
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
Chris I'm really sorry if my beliefs upset you this much, but like I said I'm not debating religious philosophy via youtube comments, if you have AIM messenger my screen name is todd198620. I'll be more than happy to listen to, and share ideas with you if I'm online.
walrusgh 3 years ago
by manuscripts, you mean copies, and the fact that they are only found 100 years afterward at the earliest is not evidence for anything, and leaves us to wonder why noone bothered to write any of it down at the time. anyways, if you are assuming the bible is true, then you must also believe god demands that you ston your son to death for being rebellious. he demanded it in the old testament and jesus also demands it in the new testament. it's time you outgrew your imaginary friend. Science bless
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
Ah, but the evidence of those manuscripts proves that they are historically reliable and
And I don't stone my son to death because 1) I don't have a son, and 2) Romans 13 makes it clear we are to be subject to governing authorities, and the authorities here in America say that's a crime. But if I had a son, I would punish him for wrongdoing. I am still able to apply the principle; that "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft" (1 Samuel 15:23).
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
there is not even evidence of hebrews ever being slaves in egypt. the story of noah's ark is hilarious at best. you are saying that the laws of man are higher than the laws of god, so how can he be all-powerful? he wouldn't make arbitrary laws. he would only make laws that are important. to say that god makes a law but taht he also says it's okay not to follow it is ridiculous.
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
I'm just quoting to you what the Bible says. The point is still the same: God hates rebellion in children. It is detestable to Him.
Why? Because you and I have disobeyed Him countless times, and we deserve to be punished in hell b/c of that. But God has provided a way for us to be forgiven by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His sacrifice will pay for the penalty of the crimes which you have committed, if you humble yourself and surrender to Him as your Lord and Savior.

eternal torture?
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
Yes. Your crime is against an infinitely holy God, and requires a consequently eternal punishment.
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
If you truly believe that I deserve eternal torture simply because I refuse to believe in god, regardless of how I live my life, then you are evil. I can live my life better than you live yours, and yet at the end none of it matters simply because I don't believe in something that has never shown itself to me, has never shown any evidence of its existence? what about people born in places where no one even knows what god is? what about native americans before columbus? do they all deserve hell?
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
Here's the thing: I deserve hell just as much as you do. We all deserve hell. It's not merely because of a lack of belief in God, but all the other myriad sins we've done in our lives; lying, stealing, and even our thought lives--just imagining sin is as bad as the sin itself. We all have a conscience, and are born with an understanding that these things are wrong, so no one can say on Judgment Day, "I didn't know my sin was wrong!"
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
If you believe that infinite punishment or infinite reward is fair consequence for temporary actions, you are morally inferior. and what about those who are born in other countries where they are taught that all christians are delusional, just as you are taught that everyone of other faiths are deluded? what if on judgement day you find out that islam is true? do you really think you deserve hell then? humans were around for 100000 years, and religion didn't start until sometime around 4000 bc.
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
I already answered that question: We all have a conscience, a knowledge of sin, so that no one has an excuse.
How do you know that humans have been around for 100,000 years? You have asked for my evidence, now please present some yourself.
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
I am not talking about sin. i am talking about belief in god. according to christianity, those who do not believe in the existence of god will go to hell. it doesn't matter whether they know what is right and wrong, the fact that they don't believe in god and the story of jesus then they will go to hell.
as for the humans being around for at least 100000 years, that is the accepted estimation for the emergence of the human species.if you dont believe in evolution plz don't try to argue about it
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
If you're so concerned about those people who haven't yet heard the gospel, why don't you get saved and then be a missionary to them?
Re: 100,000 years, do you have any **evidence** to back it up? Lots of commonly-accepted beliefs throughout history have been proven wrong, such as the sun's revolving around the earth, or that the slavery of Africans and Native Americans from the 1500s-1800s was acceptable.
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
plz tell me you are joking about the sun and slavery thing. the bible says the sun revolves around the earth, and also condones slavery in multiple instances, as well as blood sacrifices and incest. the slave owners used the bible to justify slavery. also, you are talking about beliefs before modern science and the scientific method. as far as evidence for humans being around 100000 years ago, we have fossil evidence to back that up. btw it has been proven humans evolved from primate ancestor.
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
Please state 1) where the Bible says that the sun revolves around the earth, and 2) how Hebrew slavery is similar to Amero-European slavery. In fact, they are worlds apart; God commanded the Jews to free their slaves every seven years, and that obviously never happened to slaves in the US or Europe.
You say it has been proven that humans have evolved from primate ancestors. What proof is there? Can you give an example of the fossil evidence?
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
1) sun moves:Joshua 10:12-13 Habakkuk 3:11 Psalms 19:4-6 1
earth is fixed: Chronicles 16:30 Psalms 93:1 96:10
earth sits on pillars: 1 Samuel 2:8 Job 9:6 Job 38:4-6
earth is flat b/c from a high enough point you can see everything on earth: Job 28:24 Isaiah 40:22 Daniel 4:10-11
2) forcing people to work for no pay is wrong no matter how long you do it for. it wasn't voluntary because the hebrews would war with a city and if they city surrendered they would take all the men and women as slaves
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
Come on, you've never used the phrase "sunrise" or "sunset", knowing full well that the sun doesn't rise or set per se?
Now, before I answer the rest of these, let me ask you something real quick: Are you serious about this, or are you just looking for excuses? If I answer these questions, will you bow your knee and admit that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior?
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
if you can explain all of the barbaric, contradictory, and flat out ridiculous stuff in the bible, AND provide proof of the bible's validity, not just gaps in scientific understanding, then yes i will. fyi i was once a christian and had to stop because i couldn't make any more excuses and still respect my own intelligence.
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
So wait, you knew the Lord? That's the Bible's definition of being a Christian; John 17:3.
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
knew, as in past tense. WAS a christian, but i am not a christian anymore, and you still haven't acknowledged that there is overwhelming evidence that humans evolved from a primate ancestor. did you even watch the videos i gave you the urls to? seriously, you really should watch them. if you're as devout as you think, then they won't be able to shake your faith.
kriztufer2001 3 years ago
I was Jewish, and tried applying science to all the stories I was taught. I figured that it was all impossible, and I became an atheist. OK?

2 continued)actually, hebrew slaves were to be released every six years (Exodus 21:2-6) but regular slaves could be kept PERMANENTLY (Leviticus 25:44-46)
you can also beat your slaves to near death according to Exodus 21:20-21
slavery in New Testament: Ephesians 6:5 1 Timothy 6:1-2

Wow, how loving God is... NOT.
johnpearceonearth 3 years ago
God is loving because He has made a way for you to be saved from your sin by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. You must humble yourself, submit to Him as your Lord and Savior, and repent of your sin.
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
I would happily do that if I was a brainwashed dumbass Christian, but sadly I'm enlightened enough not to believe in fairy tales.
johnpearceonearth 3 years ago
Insults aside, do you have any specific, verifiable evidence that Christianity is wrong?
ChrisHobeck 3 years ago
Well, as someone who trusts in science which is the based entirely on probability and evidence I would argue that there is no evidence that Christianity is right, logical or even likely due to the lack of ANY evidence that God exists. So I reverse the question, do YOU have any specific and verifiable evidence that Christianity is RIGHT?
johnpearceonearth 3 years ago
See you and I are more alike than you think I agree insults and slurs don't do anything but cause bitterness and anger. (something I learned from Jesus)
