Foxtrot Torchwood was supposed to be an adult show that was more serious than Doctor Who. Unfortunately most of the episodes of the first season turned out to be cheesy like you describe.

As for New York, yes I did get way less sleep than usual, and the last few days since I got back I have been paying the price!

Hey, a few months ago I wanted to swing by and ask a question, but I never got around to it. What was the deal with the show Torchwood? I watched the first season and it seemed like a perfect example of "Brittish Cheese". Not really a serious show, just kinda goofy. Is that how you guys see it?
