  • HOW TO MAKE IT BEING RENDERED?!?!?! HOWWWW

  • @1998valeriu Not sure what you mean check out the video response I made to this video for info about the updated versions of Blender. If you're trying to render your model on top of a background image look up "Blender 2.5 World Background texture image" on youtube for an example of how to do that.

  • yes im using a laptop. hmmmm shit its still not showing up

  • @bart666a Also you maybe using a newer version of Blender. Read the description info for this video for updated info the process is different. I made this video back when it was a mystery of how to upload a background in the alpha version of the software.

  • i shall try right now dude thanx that was fucking fast!

  • dose this apply 2 mac? this orthoshit will not work

  • @bart666a Hmm not sure I guess you mean you have a laptop and no numpad? You can also use your mouse/pointer/ete to select "View" on the bottom left and then when the menu pops up select "View Persp/Ortho"

  • this is not working

  • awesome thx dude

  • It wont open when its in 3D!!! WTF

  • @TehTheif Are you trying to model from a background image you're trying to load or are you trying to render a model you have already done with a background image you're trying to load?

  • @pinkytm1 I just did everything you did, but when I go back to 3D it wont work. Its a screen shot I took of my runescape character. I saw a tutorial and he does it perfectly. Wont work for me! help!!!

  • @TehTheif You did checkout the updated video I did I mention it in the description?

  • @pinkytm1 Where do I watch it?

  • @TehTheif I think its the video I posted as response to this one.

  • @pinkytm1 I tried it, still doesnt work

  • @pinkytm1 NVM! I GOT IT ILYILYILY<33333333

  • guys you press 5 on the number pad not the numers above the letters the number 5 to your right

  • image is not showing even after i pressed 5

  • The image isnt showing even after i click 5

  • Thank you.

  • FFFF THANK YOU

  • well actually a thought just occured to me. I'm in blender 2.5 urs is blender 2.5 alpha, do i need blender 2.5 alpha in order for it to work?

  • @marneebox I'm not sure what the latest version of Blender is but you should download the latest version. You did read the update and check out the other video I made? I assume the location of where you have the file should not matter.

  • omg so frustrating im trying to upload a picture of aslan the lion off of the internet, i saved it in a file, i did ortho mode by clicking 5 on the number pad, i went to UV/ image editor, i went to image, then open image, then i went to the file where the picture was saved on and nothing's listed there. HELP ME!!!!!! PLZ

  • @marneebox nevermid i got that picture of aslan listed in the folder but everytime I click on it it cuts back to the cube inside that grid thing but aslan isnt there UGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!! plz help me now!!!!!!!! plz.

  • @marneebox Hmm not sure. Try opening the image with another image editing program(Paintbrush, etc) and saving it to a different format(png, etc). Its possible Blender has a problem with that particular file.

  • @pinkytm1 well the folder where my aslan picture is saved is linked to the desktop folder does it have to be in another folder?

  • @pinkytm1 im new to blender so how can i open it with a new image editing program? also how do i save it into a different format?

  • alright, i got aslan's picture onto it now all i need to do is know how i can model over it. Can you help me?

  • @marneebox You are going to have to look for some tutorials on modeling on youtube. Generally you do not just model from a single image though. You have say a front and side view image that you put in different windows in blender.

  • @pinkytm1 Well, how do u make multiple windows and model from them?

  • @marneebox search for "Ira Krakow's Blender 2.5 Splitting / Joining Windows Tutorial "

Try "Blender 2.5 Back to the Basics: Episode 3 - modeling" for some idea of how to model.

  • @pinkytm1 modeling's hard so i decided to buy an already made model. Now later this week, when i have enough money to buy the model, how can i import it onto blender 2.5 and start to animate it? Then after that is done how can i upload the animation onto my already shot camera footage?

  • @marneebox Before you buy the model ask the seller if Blender can import it. Second make sure the model is fully rigged for animation. Fully rigged models tend to be much more expensive. Look up "Blender 2.5 Introduction to Rigging - Creating an Animation Using a Simple Model/Rig " to get an idea how the model will can be animated.

Look up "Blender 2.5 - 3D Animation Foreground with a Movie (Video) Background Green Screening in Reverse " for example of how to put an animation on existing video.

  • mines broken.. can i send you a video of what im doing wrong or someething

  • @yomamalikesu2 Make sure you're using the latest version of Blender. You can post a response to the video.

  • dude all i need was to go into ortho view. that was all that was wrong

  • thxxxxx

  • thanks man ur awesome!!

  • I don't have a number pad...

  • @ThatEnglishKid010 There is a way to emulate a number pad on a laptop computer not sure how. You can also use the menus on Blender and your mouse. Click on "View" and you will see the option for toggling into orthographic projection.

  • @pinkytm1

    I found it, thanks :)

  • Hmm it doesn't seem to want to show my image. I load it exactly the way you show. I can't see anything. Any suggestions?

  • @putthisonmytab Make sure you are in orthographic projection mode. Hit numpad 5.

  • @pinkytm1 Thanks for the fast reply. I already did that and it didn't work. I figured it out though I wasn't trying to upload a png file thats the only way it worked for me. ANywayz thanks :D

  • But how can I add a movie background? I've searched like everywhere now but couldn't find a (video) tutorial for it.

  • Now that I've added the image I can't seem to access the edit mode? O.o

  • @Nightmare1066 Hmm been a long time since I used Blender. It maybe that you just have the image set as background and not added any editable object yet. You have to add an object first then you can switch to edit mode.

  • @Nightmare1066 Yes you were right that was the problem xD

  • SUMMARY: For Blender 2.5, press "N", then scroll down, check the "Background Image" box, press "Add Image", click on the button to the left of "Not Set" and then Open your image/video.

  • come on dude, just tell us what to do, you are being way too explanatory and slow

  • i did exactly what you did, went to my image clcik open and it wont fucking open. i mean the open button is there but when i click on it nothing happens Y the fuck does nothing happen

  • @afsan23 sorry for the language ure 2nd vid explained it all. Thank you mate

  • @afsan23

It only works if you are in orthographic view for blender 2.5 beta

  • I'm glad this works for me now. But still I find the old 2.4 version example on how to do this much more convenient.

  • I understand how to upload a background image, but what I need to know is how you find an image you have saved to your computer. "For instance" I saved the picture of a 3d head to my computer and I want to import it to blender so I can use it to model the picture in blender. I don't know the process. I don't know how to access files on my computer to blender.

  • @lionheart19847 Hmm not sure I follow what you mean. Loading a background image is usually done so you can use it as a guide to model it. Having 2 or more pictures of the object (front and side views for example) in splint screens on blender and perhaps one screen with a 3-d view to watch your progress. I'm not aware of any other way to model. You can import some 3-d modeling files into Blender(click file and then import). Those are not image files though.

  • great work! thank you!

  • great!! tnx..

  • awesome 5/5

  • thx very much man thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx i subscribe

  • My problem is that I can't get the image to appear when I export the video.

  • @Kratos87Fan19 Hmm not sure I understand what you mean. You made a video with Blender and you want the background image you loaded to also be in that video? I've done that before with a live action video I shot with a camera and a Blender video I placed on top of it but do not remember how I did it.

  • @pinkytm1 I mean that I want a background in my final video other than the default Blue color.

  • @Kratos87Fan19 Yeah I understand there is a simple way to do it I just do not know how. I'm looking into it though and will reply if I figure it out.

  • @pinkytm1 Thank you, I appreciate it!

  • @Kratos87Fan19 I just uploaded a tutorial to show one way to change the background in a rendered animation to and image you choose.

  • still dont work....

  • 00:27 is the moment that made me lost an entire morning! -.-' tnx a lot :)

  • wow are your screens differ than mine

  • it still doesn't work,i use blender 2.5 apha 2

  • it dosent show the image!!!!

  • Try using Blender 2.5 Alpha 2 instead. I made a video on it also.

  • I have Blender 2.5 Alpha 2 and when I click load image nothing appears on the screen and I tryed the way u tryed it in the video and that didnt work either wtf am I doing wrong please help me

  • Did you hit numpad 5 to go into ortho view?

  • Then change the view to front, side, top or camrea.

  • UPDATE it seems in Blender 2.5 alpha 2 (latest release)

you no longer have to use the UV editor to load a background image. That makes it easier :)

  • thanks man......in blender 2.49 it was much easier

  • Yeah must be a bug in 2.5 you should not have to use the UV editor to load a background image.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH

  • thx you this really help :)

  • Cheers mate
